I use my laptop for most email matters. I use the phone to get emails when laptop not available. The phone is set to leave all messages on the server. I delete all emails from the phone. All deleted emails go to Trash. How do I empty Trash without deleting individual emails?

I have set up my work emails to come thru my X10, (pop3 account) it works fine but I JUST CANNOT SEE how to delete the emails other than one by one, there is no option to delete ALL from the in box and no option to empty trash bin!!! surely this isnt right.

I'm not totally sure why, but I want it back. I dragged and deleted it by mistake trying to drag from one page to the other. Can I get it back?
View 11 Replies View RelatedI am very disappointed with all my inbox messages deleted & moved to trash! ,, & am shocked to have not found a reasonable justification to this, whether on Google Support Forum or here on Android's.Ever since I used the E-mail application on my Android [v 1.6] Sony Ericsson - Xperia - X10 phone, all my Email messages moved to trash & God only knows if something is forever gone.It even changed the filters & their settings.The problem is common among other users but the causes are different.Why would IMAP do this? why isn't anyone justifying this?I demand an 'undo' for all this & a justification. In God's name, I am not going to fix this manually, am I? If so, this is an incredible huge waste.

Is this normal or is there automatic feature that i must enable to have it alert me once an email is received?
Secondly, is it possible to set-up a third party email account, ex: Yahoo? I went through the notion of manually enter email account, but was unsucessful. It give me a msg that mailbox access is not supported for some tpes of yahoo mail accounts. Could this be an interference with gmail email, thus causing the problem? Even, using the manually setup option, it still fails to connect to my yahoo account.
Is it me or is there no way to empty the trash folder with one click? How is this possible with the level of technology? How could it get through UAT without this feature?

I have installed Sony Ericsson PC Companion on my computer and I managed to add new contacts by adding them on my pc and then sync-ing which updated the contacts on my phone! I later set up gmail from the gmail icon.Now, when I receive email it shows in one..I open/read/close and it opens immediately in the other. I don't really care which I keep (although the gmail one is slightly nicer looking) but am afraid to delete either for fear of having it not work at all.

I have moxier set up to flow through my webmail account and it woks pretty well. I was also using K9 for my personal email prior to 2.1 update this past weekend. I have been trying to add an email account to my phone through the email button.I have also tried using K-9, but still no luck.I have added my gmail account with no problem, but would also like to add my yahoo email address.There seems to be a facility to do so.I have put my yahoo address and password in to the appropriate section, but the next page asks for my 'Username'.Any idea what the 'Username' means?I have tried putting in my yahoo email address, both with and without the 'yahoo.ca' bit, but I get an error message saying 'Setup could not finish.Username or password incorrect'.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI just got my Xperia x10 mini pro today and so far I have noticed that my email doesn't update itself, I have to do it manually but it seems like the phone should be able to do that. I use a hotmail account on my phone and I would like to know if the email can update itself, if I have to wait for 2.1 to have this problem resolved or if it's just something that I'm missing. And sometimes the phone will say "Does not connect" when I do try to update it but it hasn't done it in the last few hours. In addition, there isn't any change in my real email account. I could read an email on my phone and still half an hour later that very same email will be considered new and unread. Is there any way to solve these issues?

Has anyone else had this problem, or have i not set it up correctly?
