Nov 17, 2010Since updating to 2.1 I can't find out how to easily close explorer. Now I have to go back all the pages until it closes when I get to the first page.

I have titanium backup free version and when I uninstall sony ericssons apps they are still at setting>applications>manage applications and they are still there but doesnt open so it is uninstalled but not from manage apllication. Jun 22, 2010how to close an application? Do you just push the back button to close applications? I wonder because my old phone (Nokia 5800) allows one to have more than one application open at the same time, and it has a function to enable one to check what's running and to close anything that you don't want to run. Is it the same on the X10? If it's only possible to have one app open at the same time, that answers my question, I suppose - if I open another application, the previous one will be closed. That seems to be the case, but I checked the other day what was consuming so much battery and it turned out to be a game (Labyrinth Lite) which seemed to be running in the background. I've deleted it now, but I'd like to have a clearer understanding of how to check easily what is open.

I dont mind it but need something with multi select function.My biggest gripe with the std app is that you have to select one email at a time to delete it, then you have to go into the trash folder and repeat the same process all over again to remove the deleted emails
Bit of a ball ache when you receive in excess of 15 to 20 emails.Any advice? Have tried K9 Mail but that force closes every time I try read mail in the Inbox ?

Jul 8, 2010I upgraded firmware to R2BA023 yesterday and everything seems to work fine until today.
Whenever i open mediascape, i get 'the application playnow (process com.sonyericsson.playnonowstore.android) has stopped unexpectedly, please try again. i have tried these options below but nothing works
- from manage applications
. mediascape --> clear data, clear cache, force stop
. mediascape plug-in manager --> clear data, clear cache, force stop
. playnow --> UNABLE to clear data ??
- recycle phone a few times --> power off and on
- delete task manager to make sure this app is not auto-killing mediascape
I get the force close pop-up everytime i launch mediascape. i supposed i can do a HARD reset, but i try to avoid this as i have to re-install everything.

Jul 29, 2010So I did some modding (unfortunately) to the framework-res.apk file and it worked the first time and a few other times but then I changed something and now when I turn on the phone it freezes at the "Sony Ericsson" screen before the logo. What do I do?
I tried pushing the backup framework file but it says "failed to copy framework-res.apk to /sdcard/framework-res.apk: Permission denied
However, when I use adb devices, it does show my device as being attached.
So what can I do now?
I was also able to pull files...
Also tried manually putting the framework-res.apk in the sdcard and then using adb to copy it to the framework folder. Doesnt work. Saids that the directory cannot be open for read. I guess the device cant read the SD card until it boots up.

I didn't fancy typing them all into the phone, so thought I would use the Sony Ericsson sync and put them into the pc first via the PC Companion sync application, and set up the sync to transfer them into my phone. I have tried a test run adding only a couple of addresses to my contacts on the pc, and adding one to my phone, but when I do a sync, the addresses don't transfer either way. I know that the actual sync is working because I added photos too and they transfer....... I must be doing something wrong that is easily rectified?

According to the phone's software update a new version of Android is available ..
Using the SE PC Companion to repair ( ca'nt install since aIready have the latest sw according to SE-PCC )
results in installation error when reaching close to the end of the prepare phase.

I updated to the firmware .27 just a few days ago, and i had lots of new Contacts in my phone, BEFORE i updated.
And then i updated to 27, and all my contacts were removed ( at the time i had no clue i had all the contacts on SE.com database ) so i copied my old contacts from my SIM-card, and just before i synced i saw all my mew contacts from before i updated the telephone in my database, but now when the telephone synced again it replaced all the new contacts in my database with my old contacts from my SIM-card wich i copied into the phone after the update. how i can get my old database back from SE.com `?
