I set up my emails (all gmail accounts) with the Galaxy S and told it to check every 5 minutes.I get tones indicating that a mail has arrived, but when I check the email accounts, there are no mails there.I have to select each (of 4) accounts individually to figure out which one received mail.Kind of, well "very", annoying. How do I get the phone to just download the message without bothering me about it?

Just wondering whether anyone has tried downloading/installing additional fonts for their Galaxy S yet.Are the fonts limited to those that can be downloaded from the Apps store? Or are we able to install fonts from other websites too?

Windows is also giving me an error "The Program can't start because RAPI.dll is missing from your compter. Try Reinstalling the program to fix this problem"
I tried reinstalling Kies but nothing happens.... Why oh why couldn't Samsung have just let us update OTA.....
I've been working on this and searching for a few days now and this is how far I got.
I can send and receive email through Exchange and I can see emails in my Inbox, the problem is I never keep any emails in my inbox, they always go into separate folders and those ones I can't see. I can see and switch to the different folders but there appears to be nothing in them.
I'm using Samsung Email simply because it came on the phone and seems to be able to do gmail, hotmail and exchange all in one.
Android 2.1, unrooted. Anyone come across this issue or have any ideas?
I set my gmail account with the email icon/app on my home screen.I did it with the POP/IMPAP option because the other one wouldn't work (don't know what either of those mean).My problem is I can't get it to download my emails by itself. I have to go in and refresh. I have set it to check every 5mins and to alert me but it just wont unless I refresh. I'm assuming there's somthing I'm missing.Also, I just discovered there's a gmail app in that list that gets the emails instantly. It will make a sound with a new email, but I have to go to that list then to the gmail app to check.What I want is to be notified of my emails and have some icon be it the email one or the gmail one on my home page that lets me know I have an email.The other thing is the youtube app, but its seems lots of people are having that trouble.Also, how do I sync access my gmail contacts on my phone on either the gmail app or the email app. I can't see contacts on either right now.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI've got some photos stuck in an MMS that I tried to download before I realised that I didnt have the correct MMS APN settings in (due to swapping to the Modaco ROM). The correct settings are now in but the MMS is stuck at "downloading" status. Is there any way I can rescue it, there is no forward option and I've successfully sent and recieved MMS since.

My phone's stock gmail app will show new emails so I look at them and then they are all read, showing 0 new.But when I login to the web browser version, 5 minutes or even later(up to hours later), the web browser gmail is not updating to show that I already read the emails.I'm on JH2. So maybe it is a bug with the firmware?Or maybe a setting got changed but I'm not seeing how to handle the issue.

I did change the sim-card (and subsequent number) since first using it, but I never logged intio Kies with the old sim-card.The phone is rooted.How do I get Kies (or my Samsung phone) to show my current telephone number?In the phone properties (Menu, Settings, About, Status) the same wrong number is shown.When calling, the receiver sees the correct telephone number. So the issue is not operator related but telephone related.

View 1 Replies View RelatedMy captivate seems to keep freezing when doing things, most notably when I goto my downloads on the market, using Zedge to download a new wallpaper or using juiceplotter and just opening it, I get a black screen and it sits for a period of time approx a min or two...anyone else having these types of issues. I did do a factor reset this morning and also installed adw.launcher, but it still does it when using those programs and some others just can't remember which ones right off hand. thanks!!

I just got a Fascinate yesterday (was a former Blackberry user) and was wondering if there was an option to delete emails from either or / both the phone and/or email? Blackberry used to have a sync option that when you selected "Delete" it asked if you wanted to:
Delete from handheld device
Delete from PC
Delete from handheld and PC
To clarify, I have a Gmail account but don't use it as my primary email, if at all. I have a personal Comcast account and a work email.
Is there anyway to set my captivate to only check emails between certain hours? I had this on another phone and its a nice feature for when you are asleep.

Issue being that the phone is not retrieving emails (IMAP) from my servers? I have it set to five minutes and I have to manually get them. Does anyone know when there will be an update to fix this issue?
Also one other questions, when updates come out for this phone, are they automatically installed, or do I need to login in somewhere to download?
I have the fascinate and always have to power off and on to get my comcast emails to load.Called verizon 2x and was back in store with no help.I can get gmail when this is going on, but my comcast emails do not load unless i reboot the phone.

I can open/view attachments that have been sent to me, however I cannot open/view attachments in email messages that I have sent. I can see the attachment, and it's file extension, but when I click on it nothing happens. There is no open or save button like there would be normally. EDIT: I have read the other threads on this forum referring to issues with email attachments and none of them had the solution to my problem.
