Samsung Behold 2 :: Downloading Applications From Market
Mar 30, 2010I have only had my phone for a few days and i'm starting to have some problems with downloading apps. At first I had no problems I downloaded 8 or 9 of them and they installed fine. Then I was not able to download anymore. Each one I tried to download said "download failed and did not install. When I looked at my status bar it showed 10 or 12 apps that did not download. So I did a factory reset and cleared everything out and started again. The same thing happens I get 5 or 6 and then the rest give my error saying not downloaded and not installed. So again I did a factory reset and tried again and came across the same prob. I got a few and then no more. I do not have a data plan yet. So I'm just using the wifi in my house. The ones that did not download i left them over night thinking they might get done by morning but no luck.

Aug 2, 2010So I understand there are known issues with the Market getting stuck at "Starting Download" but here's my problem. I removed GoogleTalk which seems to be the route of the issue and now I can't seem to get it back. Also, ever since then I get the following error message upon booting: "The process com.google.process.gapps has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again. dumpstate_app_201008021101_com_google_process_gapp s.log has been saved. Use *#9900# to copy out log." I'd rather not have to factory reset since I'm already rooted and was just getting things the way I liked them.

Sep 11, 2010I set up my emails (all gmail accounts) with the Galaxy S and told it to check every 5 minutes.I get tones indicating that a mail has arrived, but when I check the email accounts, there are no mails there.I have to select each (of 4) accounts individually to figure out which one received mail.Kind of, well "very", annoying. Aug 11, 2010Was updating my SGS when it got stuck on the screen where Android is digging in the dirt and says Downloading... do no turn off target.
Windows is also giving me an error "The Program can't start because RAPI.dll is missing from your compter. Try Reinstalling the program to fix this problem"
I tried reinstalling Kies but nothing happens.... Why oh why couldn't Samsung have just let us update OTA.....
Samsung Galaxy S :: Android Market - No Matching Content In Android Market
Nov 18, 2010I've just noticed that the Android Market shows a blank page with the message 'No matching content in Android Market'. Yet when I go to specific sections of the Market or do a search, one is able to download and install applications and games just fine. I've only just noticed this happening in the last few days. I'm using an unlocked UK version Galaxy S but my location is Inner Mongolia, China. Would this have anything to do with Android Market not showing content on the front page? The S itself is loaded with Froyo, as downloaded from the XDA forums.

Nov 1, 2010I need to download the Quake II Demo Pak0.pak so I can put it in the quake 2 folder so I can play quake II on my phone.But no. My phone won't let me download anything through the browser. No matter what it is, or where it is, I can't access anything that starts with "FTP". Also, I can't access the megaupload download server, I can't download things from my email. I have downloaded apps from the Android Market, but last night and today, my phone will get into a state where I will select an app to download, it will tell me to watch the notification bar for download status, and nothing will happen. If I select the app in the store to look at the download progress, it just says: "downloading...." with the animated bar, but never downloads. I tried turning off the phone and turning it back on, and that seemed to correct the problem for one download, but then subsequent downloads won't start up. I have barely installed any apps on it, and I'm not really sure what the problem is. Is this a known issue with the Android Market, or do I have something wrong with my phone? Has anyone else encountered this and know why it's happening?

Jun 17, 2010I am under the impression that Nandroid backup & restore completely wipes the system data and overwrites with a saved image of the Android OS with whatever was on the phone at the time of backup. I created a backup to my SD Card, installed an app (ROM Manager)--couldn't get it to work so I uninstalled it. I then did a restore on my previously saved backup and right after booting up, I see a notification, open it, and catch ROM Manager downloading again to, eventually, install itself.How does the market, or my phone, know that this app was previously installed? Is it saved to my Google account somewhere? Is the data stored on my SD Card? My Nandroid backup that was created without the app being installed shouldn't have this information still on it should it?

Sep 10, 2010I installed Galaxo 1.6.3.4 a couple of days ago and since I'm a happy person! It's really a different phone.
Today when reading an article on the new google maps innovation (Walking Navigation, Street View), which are available with Google Maps 4.5, I tried finding them on the market and couldn't. I then realized I can't see any paid apps on the market after my Galaxo installation.
(I also noticed that the Google maps version with galaxo is 3.3)
So I've got two questions:
1) How can I "free" my market?
2) How can I install Google Maps 4.5 with the two gadgets above?
