I want flash the samsung original recovery.img which the recovery only consist the auto-restore of device
because i updated the new android 1.5 rom (I7500ZHJK1) at samsung, i cant find odin original rom and i want keep the Warranty.

Does anyone have the original recovery image backed up somewhere? The external speaker on my i7500 crapped out and when I take it to get serviced I'd rather them not say "custom recovery, custom rom...your warranty is void."

I got the Galaxy from my mother (she switched to another phone), but she lost the USBcable. I found a way of sending files via WiFi to the sdcard, and also connected adb via WiFi, but I can't flash the new recovery because I'd have no WiFi connection in fastboot. Is there a way to flash an official update from the sdcard using stock recovery? I successfully entered recovery but there are no options, and I can't find a guide of any kind. I tried buying the cable, but none of the shops had the official one, so finally I bought a third party cable that only charges the phone through usb, but windows gives me some error and doesn't recognize it as a device.

I have done some research but have been unable to find it. I believe that the number for it should be i7500DTII5 (according to this site).

I have flashed the GT-P1000 tab with clockworkmod version 6 (i am not sure the exact version) using Odin.Now after flashing the recovery, I have successfully installed Cyanogenmod 11 (nightly build) and everything was successful and everything is great.
A friend of mine borrowed the tab and he put a pattern to lock the phone, instead of asking him what is the pattern I just decided to wipe the tab again to make a clean install. So what I did was I went to recovery and selected "format /system" which I shouldn't have, then after rebooting it is not booting up to Cyanogen anymore, so what i did was I just wiped everything (format /data, cache and factory reset)
Now this is the weird part, the devices has kept on booting up to clockwork recovery and it says the device is not yet rooted, it is asking me if it is ok to root it, I always selected yes
After another boot up, the clockwork recovery is now version 3.0.0.5??? it is really weird? I never installed any clockwork mod with a lower version... How did that happen?
Now whenever I try to install from sd card or restore it or mount it nothing happens, it just says:
E:Can't mount
E:unknown volume
E:unable process volume! skipping
I tried to flash the recovery again using Odin many times but still the clockwork mod is stuck in version 3.0.0.5.
Right now, I am not sure if my understanding of the entire system is correct:
1. Should I install a new recovery, if yes, how and why is it whenever I am installing it again it is not being installed, it gets stuck to version 3.0.0.5?
2. Are there any other recovery I should use and how should I install it? is it the same as using the Odin?
3. Is there a way to install the original recovery of this tab and then from there I will start over again.
I want to Flash my HTC Hero with the original Google Android 2.1, the unmodified version I mean -that Google brings out.
I don't like the new Sense UI. Is that possible?
Do I need to flash back to original 2.1 to get the official 2.2?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a problem with 3g connenction since flashing galaxo1.6.1 coming from ii4 if i recall correct. after being disappointed of galaxo for that reason i decided to flash another custom 1.5 firmware (archers italy ROM) which runs perfectly except i also have the same problems with 3g (connection is working after boot, but only for a while then the 3g icon is still there but only the upload arrow blinks, and no data is coming in). some guy on a german forum told me he had the same problem untill he went back to ii5 which changed the baseband also and now 3g works perfect again. so i guess if i could flash only baseband from ii5 this could maybe solve my problem without having to flash 3 firmwares in a row. the only thing i do not know is how to do this, where in the package is the baseband located, and is it possible to do so?
View 17 Replies View RelatedI'm having a problem with my phone, I've had 2 lines show up at the top of my screen in the past couple of days. They're both multi-coloured and definitely look glitchy. They show up even in boot screens, fastboot, recovery, etc. I thought it might have been a problem with Galax0 that I was running, so I tried to re-flash it with Odin, and Odin seems to finish, but the phone does not actually get flashed. It stays at my previous firmware, with all apps installed, but when it reboots with Odin, the screen doesn't work (except in between the two lines at the top, so I can just see the bar at the top). I pull the battery and reboot, and it works, but is very glitchy.

My question is, is there a way to remove the darkatz recovery image and revert to stock, basically remove all traces of Rooting (If i ever want to get firmware update from operator).

I need to do a factory reset on my phone because I had that lock screen block where it asks for your GMail, but nothing was working. I tried the "null" password trick, and that got me through. Then I (have had this problem for ages) decided to do something about that download error problem, where nothing downloaded, and the suggestions where 1. Factory reset or 2. delete some data and cache from apps. Did that. Now it won't accept my GMail login because it erased my GMail from the phone, hence the need for a factory reset. Now that you've heard my life story (sorry ), I'll get onto what I need.
Can anyone tell me the control for the recovery mode? I need them because reseting the phone through recovery mode keeps all of your pictures, videos and music but resets the rest. I like my media .

View 4 Replies View RelatedI don't have a rooted phone. I've been running the IK5 firmware for a while with no problems. I had to travel to the states and put my phone on airplane mode and then decided to shut it off. When I tried to turn it on, it would get to the Samsung "glowing" logo and stay there for awhile. Then the screen would flash and the Samsung logo would appear again. My phone was stuck in a loop after that. It never booted up. I decided to try and reload the firmware and that didn't help. Then I tried recovery mode. That's when I got the infamous triangle with and exclamation point in it. After that nothing. I guess I may have somehow bricked an unrooted phone. Although this isn't my specialty.

I'm looking at sending my phone back in to TMO, but I don't want there to be a trace of anything. I rooted via the update.zip and flashed Clockwork, but haven't flashed any other roms or anything.
I was curious, is there a way to flash back to the stock recovery? Or would uninstalling Rom Manager, then unrooting via terminal, have the same effect?
I asked in a couple of places but nobody answered so i just tried making compcache work by myself. what i did was:
- use recovery to format external sd fat32+swap
- use galaxoconf to activate compcache setting it on default which is 25600 i think.
Now the thing is - how do i know if it works and did i even do it right?

Alright this may have been asked a few times, or maybe it could not of been asked. I just can't find the thread related to answering this question.
Okay so my question is, can I flash Galaxo 1.6.2 or GAOSP "without" ODIN flashing or updating my firmware to 1.6? and not then what consequences would occur if I don't flash firmware update before GALAXO 1.6.2 flash. My phone firmware version is I7500ZHJA1 and I believe that is the latest firmware for my region which is still Android 1.5.
I recently Rooted my droid 1, and it went well, nothing wrong with it. I was wanting a new ROM, so i used RSD Lite to flash SP recovery to my phone. I flashed it and the screen say SPR has been installed. So on my CP on RSD Lite it said Rebooting your phone. It never rebooted it and after a while RSD said Please manually reboot your phone. So i did and when it rebooted it had the battery icon displaying o battery charge, even though i knew my phone wasn't dead, because i had it plugged in with maybe 40% remaining or so. So after unlocking my phone it displayed the Android Shutting Down Screen, but it didnt shut down, it halfway rebooted back to the "Red Eye" on start up, and it repeated this cycle over and over. I pulled the battery. Right now somehow the phone managed to stay off after shutting down, and i have it plugged in to my computer, and the little white LED light next to the USB port is on. I havent restarted it but im seeing if it will charge.

I'm following step by step process to root my gt-s5310 using ODIN 3.07. Started from download mode and connect to the PC is no problem at all. ODIN finished with the GREEN PASS. When I tried to open recovery mode, only android recovery mode is open(but malfunctioning, going no where when I press the home button) that recovery mode also don't has "install zip from sd card" option.
My android version is 4.1.2 . Baseband version S5310DXAME2. Kernel version 3.0.15-1521875 se.infra@SWDA2309#1

I hit the top button. Flash Clockworkmod recovery or what ever it said. I then backed up my Current ROM. I then downloaded Cyanogen v6.0.0 cr2. It downloaded and rebooted my phone. But It went to a screen with a Triangle w/ exclamation and a phone under it. I then hit the up vol button and camera, and now I'm at the Android system recovery page and I don't know what to do next. These are my options reboot system now apply sdcard:update.zip wipe data/factory rest wipe cache partition wipe base band data. I did click to backup current ROM and wipe data and cache.
View 38 Replies View RelatedI was trying to root my samsng behold 2 earlier today using the command codes on theunlockr.com. I thought everything was going well as I went all the way to the last step where it rebooted my behold 2. Problem is, the phone kinda just turned off after doing the reboot command and didn't turn back on by itself (I gave it like 10 minutes). I eventually then just turned on the phone manually and noticed that everything was super laggy. Even when I used taskkiller to kill every task minus GDE, it said I only had 38MB ram available. I rebooted my phone a few times and it was laggy everytime so I decided to do a hard reset. The problem is that when I attempted the hard-reset, it will now get stuck on the samsung screen when trying to load up (stayed there for over 30 minutes). I can still enter the phone if I just start it up regularly without trying to hard-reset, but it will continue to be VERY laggy.
Is there anything I can do to restore this phone back to its original state? I was reading about using ODIN to flash it or something, but for some reason my computer doesn't detect my phone when I go into Download mode on startup (it does however detect the usb drivers on my phone once the phone officially startsup into its homepage).
