rooted back to stock---tried to flash clockworkMod recovery b4 downloading ROMs---get message "you must root phone...Superuser not found...." -----how do i proceed?

I recently Rooted my droid 1, and it went well, nothing wrong with it. I was wanting a new ROM, so i used RSD Lite to flash SP recovery to my phone. I flashed it and the screen say SPR has been installed. So on my CP on RSD Lite it said Rebooting your phone. It never rebooted it and after a while RSD said Please manually reboot your phone. So i did and when it rebooted it had the battery icon displaying o battery charge, even though i knew my phone wasn't dead, because i had it plugged in with maybe 40% remaining or so. So after unlocking my phone it displayed the Android Shutting Down Screen, but it didnt shut down, it halfway rebooted back to the "Red Eye" on start up, and it repeated this cycle over and over. I pulled the battery. Right now somehow the phone managed to stay off after shutting down, and i have it plugged in to my computer, and the little white LED light next to the USB port is on. I havent restarted it but im seeing if it will charge.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI hit the top button. Flash Clockworkmod recovery or what ever it said. I then backed up my Current ROM. I then downloaded Cyanogen v6.0.0 cr2. It downloaded and rebooted my phone. But It went to a screen with a Triangle w/ exclamation and a phone under it. I then hit the up vol button and camera, and now I'm at the Android system recovery page and I don't know what to do next. These are my options reboot system now apply sdcard:update.zip wipe data/factory rest wipe cache partition wipe base band data. I did click to backup current ROM and wipe data and cache.

View 3 Replies View Relatedhow rooting works. I read that stock recovery doesn't let us flash packages not signed by the manufacturer, and that's the reason for custom recoveries (they don't check). So my question is how do we get recovery to flash the root package in the first place? Or is it the fact that I have a Samsung with an unlocked boot loader?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI just got a replacement droid in the mail today and am trying to get back to where I was on my old one. I have a nandroid on my sdcard and am trying to flash clockwork recovery so that I can restore my nandroid, but everytime I try to flash recovery I get an error message that says "an error occurred while flashing your recovery". I was able to flash SPrecovery from ROM Manager, but that won't allow me to restore the nandroid that I made in clockwork.
The phone came with 2.1-update1, so I used RSDLite to flash back to 2.0 stock and then rooted that using the original update.zip technique. I then got DroidRootPro, installed busybox, etc, installed rom manager, but thats where I started getting the flash error to begin with. I managed to get back up and running with a pre-clockwork nandroid, but I really want to get my nandroid from earlier today restored from clockwork!
I have finally run into my first issue with rom manager. I think my recovery is broken, i tried almost all the options it says to do if you have a broken recovery such as clear download cache, install past recoveries, install alternative recoveries, etc, nothing seems to be working. I also have a constant spinning circle within rom manager as if its trying to comlete some task. I would really like to flash a new rom but im stuck , any help would be very much appreciated.I guess i got so used to rom manager doing everything for me that i need to learn alternatives.
View 6 Replies View RelatedMy friend tried using a ROM Manager on his DX and it doesn't seem to be working right. When trying to flash a ROM it reboots, attempts to boot into Recovery, fails, then boots up normally.
When I boot into into his ClockworkMod recovery manually, it doesn't appear to have all the options like it should. For instance, I cannot create a Nandroid backup or flash stuff from the SD card. Is this normal?
From within the ROM Manger I tried to flash a new ClockWorkMod Recovery but that also fails just like flashing a ROM.
I have an Incredible so I don't wanna screw up his DX so how do I flash a new Recovery for him? I can't create a backup of his stuff so I want to be extra careful.
Seems like ROM Manager is coming alive pretty good lately. With the ability to flash other ROMs, flash different recovery images. Only thing is you need clockwork with ROM manager and I am not to keen on that. I starts with sprecovery so maybe I am just afraid of change or learning something new. Just seeing what everyone else is thinking. But ROM manager is a great tool, for people that like the greatest ROM and flash it.

Before I did any searching or downloading for kernels, I tried to do a backup using ROM Managers Clockwork utility.It constantly crashed my phone; I didn't get one successful backup.So I was going to try using SPRecovery, but when I turn off my phone, then turn it on holding the X key, the Motorola logo stays there forever, blinks, and then reappears again. I have to release the X key for it to get passed the logo, but then it just boots normally.I've already uninstalled ROM Manager, but do I need to do anything different so I can use SPRecovery?I'm thinking my phone is confused as to which backup/recovery mode to launch.Did I just mess up my phone?I'm a total noob at this and feel like a moron.

I just got my phone rooted and got the root image to load and did all that fun stuff but now im trying to get the recovery and flash image and i cant get it to work. i think SDK is the issue. i go to the command prompt and type in what the guide says and it saying "error device not found" i even did the all in one install on the guide page and it comes up with the same message.... does anyone have the slightest idea of how to get this worked out. im running windows xp with service pack three.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI'm on the stock rooted frg22d rom because of complications earlier and for some reason my phone randomly rebooted. I though nothing of it. But now when I rebooted. I only have 2 apps for some reason, Paper toss and Redbox Codes FWIW. So I tried to load a nandroid and I can't get into recovery. It just stays on the M and if I let it sit there then it would get into a bootloop on a stock non-overclocked rom. So yeah. Oh and my sister took administrator from my account so I can't use RSD Lite to non root and root again.

Now I gotta send this phone back to Verizon and I don't want to send it back with it being rooted cause I don't want to get charged for the phone.
