I'm not sure if this is the correct place, but I could not find anything better. I'm looking for the APN settings for the Proximus (Belgium) network for my brand new Samsung Galaxy.I've tried the information I could find the internet but I don't seems to be able to get a data connection, so I just want to verify that I've set it up correctly on my end.

View 10 Replies View RelatedSerious issue here with my galaxy. I was coming back to Denmark from Sweden yesterday and my phone was working fine on roaming all this time. As my train crosses to Denmark, I lose the network, and very much since then have not been able to get it back. If I manually go into search for networks, it will take a minute or so and sometimes finally find some networks.
If I choose my home network, it will try for 2-3 minutes and fail 90% of the time and sometimes succeed.
That is act as if I was connected with 4 bars, but still, when I send myself an SMS from another phone, or try to call, nothing comes up. I know it is not the SIM, or the provider, as I have switched SIMs with another phone and the SIM works on the other phone, just like the other phone's SIM doesn't work on my galaxy. I am running Galaxo1.1, but as I said this problem started occurring without my even handling the phone at that time.
Sorry if this has been asked before but I couldn't find any clear answer.
I got this phone from O2 UK, unfortunately I don't have any chance to try out other SIM card onto this phone, do you know if this phone is unlocked to any network? Can I put any other SIM than O2?
I have an issue with BT on my Galaxy, it somehow gets stuck and forgets the settings:
- If I go out of range with my BT headset, and than back in range, sometimes a single click on headset button will make it reconnect with the phone, as it should.
- But, sometimes it will not reconnect (even by manually reconnecting from the phone WirelessBluetooth menu), and also it cannot "Scan for devices" - a click on that will not do anything, the phone does not scan for other devices, even though BT seems to be on.
- If I restart BT at this point, it will forget its "Device name" and say "Galaxy" in that field. Also cannot search for devices.
- If I restart it again, the "Device name" will be "No name set, using account name"; scanning will not work. Further BT restarts keep it in this state, only restart of the phone helps.
I'm on JB2 firmware.
Seeing as the Galaxy seems t have problems with sleeping and some apps, I thought it would be a good idea to ask here what program people are using for their settings profiles.

Many have reported it can be cured with disabling Network Location, then it was the basebands that could help, then it looked like the problem is in USB charging. Well my no sleep is a unique one and I dare to say it has nothing to do with anything and it's total luck. My Galaxy goes into no sleep as soon as I receive a call. JC6+galaxo. First it was with JC6 baseband as I said in the JC6 thread. Then I flashed II5 baseband and it worked great. It was fast, WPA Ent worked. But off course, I received a call and it went into no sleep again. No network location, no USB plugging in, looks like it is triggered by unique things. I'm officially tired of this piece of junk. I'm going back to my II5 nandroid backup. And I was so happy with JC6. Damn you Samsung. If this isn't resolved in one month I'm spending money and getting a Hero. (cheap enough, and at least it has tons of 2.1 firmwares).
View 49 Replies View RelatedI just updated to Galaxhero and I love it except one quite big and annoying problem with internet connection. Problem occurs when I try to set up the APN for my service provider. I have to change the MNC from 05 to 21. So I did put all the settings in and pressed save. What happens I found out the whole APN is gone.
Played around a bit with it, and noticed that if I touch to MNC setting and change it to other than 05, it causes that very APN to disappear from APN list. Is there any way to fix this? Somehow maybe modifying the "default" MNC to 21 if there's no fix for the disappearing one? Sad thing is that I don't have 3g without it.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI just recently purchased a Samsung Galaxy GT-17500L (its a Bell Canada phone). After purchasing the phone (which was originally unlocked) I bought a Solo mobile sim-card, which was needed in order to use the phone on my Solo monthly plan. Everything was working fine until I decided to try and update the firmware from 1.5 to 1.6; unfortunately, like a few others from Canada, I didn't properly read the guide and after the upgrade, the phone was "re-locked" and wasn't accepting my sim-card. After going through the guide posted on Pg.4 here (Bell Canada users and Brazilian Users - Galaxy 7500L (notice the L)), with the help of Rasta-Man FB posts and others, I was able to get my phone back to the original firmware, but now I'm having reception issues. The phone will at times pick up the Solo Netowork (I'm still using the original solo sim card), but then drop it after 10 minutes and just say there is no service. When I search for networks, it recognizes the Solo one (I'm guessing b/c of the S.C) but it isn't able to connect.
View 3 Replies View RelatedMy Epic 4G just lost all connection to the internet about an hour ago. Out of the blue, so to speak. I was browsing, set it down, then when I used it again it wouldn't connect. My browser, facebook, and any other connection required apps throw error messages saying - "connection error", "no connection". I've reset the phone several times, and as far as for the network settings, everything looks set the way it always is. I have done nothing to the network settings/options to have accidentally messed it up myself. I am connected via 3G, and this network problem is new to me. This phone has been nothing but constant problems and this is the newest one in a long list.

The Samsung i7500 Galaxy is, except the support from Samsung itself, a great Android smartphone with a very good (the best?) price for value. It's with 11,9mm the second slimmest Android phone after Nexus One with 11,5mm (right?) and has unlike the HTC phones a flash light and build in storage of 8GB. On most sites the Galaxy is (one of) the cheapest Android phones, I wonder if it's because Samsung is cheaper or HTC/Motorola more expensive by itself?
I personally would compare the i7500 with the HTC Hero, although in my opinion the i7500 still has a much better price for value.
Is it even possible to define if and which Android phone is a low, middle, or high-end smartphone?
Sure, it also depends for what purposes you bought and use your phone, but I still wonder were the i7500 would be if 1=low and 10=high end Android phone, and if there even is a number 10? I also think that the D-Pad is a big plus and not a minus in comparison to the scroll ball from HTC.

I'll it admit that I'm a little puzzled after staring at the APN settings for a while and adding the ips etc still not getting any luck. 2degrees (my provider) have attempted ota delivery but no luck. Been running with my Droid now for 3 weeks and I'm finally going to start playing with running wifi at work (my cube and only my cube I have 3g issues ) and I connected to it a couple days ago. Our network admin in his infinite wisdom created a pass key that is like 46 characters long. So I entered it, and was connected. Fast forward to today, I enabled wifi again and tried connecting to the network and it asked me for the pass key again. Does it now save that? Is it supposed to? I would assume that would be a pretty big PITA that every time I want to connect to wireless network that I've connected to before it re-asks me my password.
