Seeing as the Galaxy seems t have problems with sleeping and some apps, I thought it would be a good idea to ask here what program people are using for their settings profiles.

I installed galaxo 1.6.2 and i'm having a few problems...first of all i can not format my sd cards thought the settings menu. i press format and the phone just remount the cards without any format made. second of all on my previous 1.5 a could connect with my cable to any computer and use it as an disk on key , but now it asks me for drivers ?

I accidentally put my phone in another language, and in the process reset factory settings. Now, my phone wont connect to the internet. WTF?! What did I do!? My SIM card was in when I did this.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI have an issue with BT on my Galaxy, it somehow gets stuck and forgets the settings:
- If I go out of range with my BT headset, and than back in range, sometimes a single click on headset button will make it reconnect with the phone, as it should.
- But, sometimes it will not reconnect (even by manually reconnecting from the phone WirelessBluetooth menu), and also it cannot "Scan for devices" - a click on that will not do anything, the phone does not scan for other devices, even though BT seems to be on.
- If I restart BT at this point, it will forget its "Device name" and say "Galaxy" in that field. Also cannot search for devices.
- If I restart it again, the "Device name" will be "No name set, using account name"; scanning will not work. Further BT restarts keep it in this state, only restart of the phone helps.
I'm on JB2 firmware.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI'd like to know the opinions various Galaxy S users have about this phone's battery life and their usage profile. I'd appreciate if you can provide me the following information:
1/ How long does the battery charge last between charges?
2/ What is your approximate phone usage profile during a day?
(Eg. 2hrs of browsing over wifi, 1 hour of browsing over 3G, 1 hour of video playback, 2 hours of audio playback/streaming while browsing etc.)
3/ Other useful information (Eg. signal conditions - poor 2G/3G coverage around my office)
I just updated to Galaxhero and I love it except one quite big and annoying problem with internet connection. Problem occurs when I try to set up the APN for my service provider. I have to change the MNC from 05 to 21. So I did put all the settings in and pressed save. What happens I found out the whole APN is gone.
Played around a bit with it, and noticed that if I touch to MNC setting and change it to other than 05, it causes that very APN to disappear from APN list. Is there any way to fix this? Somehow maybe modifying the "default" MNC to 21 if there's no fix for the disappearing one? Sad thing is that I don't have 3g without it.

View 10 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to get Facebook profile pictures assigned to internal phone contacts, but cant get it to work. I installed the recently updated Facebook app, at the first launch it asked me if I want to sync my contacts, I selected Sync with exisiting contacts (later I selected Sync all since first option didnt work) but still profile pictures are not being fetched. I can now see facebook contacts in my main contact list, and I can link them with my phone contacts (manually), but profile picture is still blank. When I click the View profile (facebook) link of a particular contact I'm taken to my profile page instead of the person i clicked on. And when I select Edit and go to Facebook tab there is an error with an exclamation mark with the message "Unable to edit SNS contacts on phone".

People have been suggesting to get the Samsung Galaxy S, that's also out of my budget and looks too much like an iPhone. So i stumbled upon these two phones.I'm leaning more towards the Spica because it has superior battery life, and 800mhz compared to the 528mhz the i7500 has. and it can also play DivX.What's making it a difficult decision is the i7500 has an AMOLED Screen. It can display 16,777,216 Colors while the Spica can only display 65,536 Colors I'm not too sure if that will make a difference. Also it has 5mp w/LED Flash while Spica is only 3.2.One phone has a little of both. This will be my first Android phone I'm coming from a Sony Ericsson W995.

View 20 Replies View Relatedi think my gt-i7500 is bricked. i downloaded the 1.6 firmware(.tar) along with ODIN.. set up the downloading mode and used ODIN to flash it to 1.6. ODIN showed PASS in the window but the phone refuses to boot up. It remains frozen with the SAMSUNG sign. Recovery mode is not working either.

For example, I should be able to customize the "Power Saver" profile to the power settings I want (ie. Screen brightness, WiFi off, Bluetooth Off, Syncing Off, etc).Is there anything like this? I enabled the usb debug mode and when I connect the phone to the computer, it says new hardware found but then it cannot find the driver. I point it to the Samsung directory but it says "Windows was unable to install your Unknown device"..............
