Samsung I7500 :: Want Browser With Proxy Settings?

Is there a browser in which I can change proxy settings? I downloaded opera Mini but can't see an option to change proxy settings
I want to do it only via the ohone's settings, not having to browse i and change major code each time I want to switch off and on.
ALSO - can I change proxy settings for the Market?
I am trying to use my wifi network at work but need to change proxy settings to get web access . . .

I have a Vodafone prepaid sim and live in bangalore.I got the sim recharged for rs 95 for the unlimited GPRS pack.The phone shows the "E" EDGE symbol but when i open the browser the pages dont load. Please give me the APN settings which will work.

My provider only permits me to connect to the internet via the web-browser. Only the web-browser works. I want to use the Android market, but it doesn't connect. Is there some sort of proxy I could use to get around this? I can connect to the market if I'm on my home WiFi, but not if I'm on my network GPRS.

I have an issue with BT on my Galaxy, it somehow gets stuck and forgets the settings:
- If I go out of range with my BT headset, and than back in range, sometimes a single click on headset button will make it reconnect with the phone, as it should.
- But, sometimes it will not reconnect (even by manually reconnecting from the phone WirelessBluetooth menu), and also it cannot "Scan for devices" - a click on that will not do anything, the phone does not scan for other devices, even though BT seems to be on.
- If I restart BT at this point, it will forget its "Device name" and say "Galaxy" in that field. Also cannot search for devices.
- If I restart it again, the "Device name" will be "No name set, using account name"; scanning will not work. Further BT restarts keep it in this state, only restart of the phone helps.
I'm on JB2 firmware.

Does anyone know the best video codec settings for the Galaxy?I've tried converting with NPS, but it messes up the aspect ratio, so I'd like to convert some files with another program, but would like to figure out what's best. Anyone with some insight?I've been using the meridian player.

I want to to use the browser inside the Android Emulator, and i want to use the proxy settings on my machine, how can i setup this.
Reading the very good manuals of android, they tell me i should start android using the following command
emulator -avd myavd -http-proxy http://168.192.1.2:3300
But still am not able to use the emulator browser. am using the IPAddress for my proxy server.

I just updated to Galaxhero and I love it except one quite big and annoying problem with internet connection. Problem occurs when I try to set up the APN for my service provider. I have to change the MNC from 05 to 21. So I did put all the settings in and pressed save. What happens I found out the whole APN is gone.
Played around a bit with it, and noticed that if I touch to MNC setting and change it to other than 05, it causes that very APN to disappear from APN list. Is there any way to fix this? Somehow maybe modifying the "default" MNC to 21 if there's no fix for the disappearing one? Sad thing is that I don't have 3g without it.

I'm looking for the APN settings for the Proximus (Belgium) network for my brand new Samsung Galaxy.I've tried the information I could find the internet but I don't seems to be able to get a data connection, so I just want to verify that I've set it up correctly on my end.

I am trying to configure http_proxy settings for Internet access from Android emulator (behind a proxy). I tried following options:
1. -http-proxy option using emulator command.
2. setting http_proxy environment and then launching the emulator.
3. Settings proxy using APN settings (Telkilla) (this worked till Android 1.6 version)
4. adding an entry in settings. CODE:.........
I also checked -debug-proxy log messages and it showed below messages

Lately, my browser seems to perform very slow: it loads pages extremely slow, and it reacts real slow - sometimes i need to wait around 10 seconds for the menu to popup, after pressing the menu key. i have galaxo 1.1. i just compared my galaxo 1.1 (on II5) to a friend's samsung galaxy with his unchanged firmware and rom (dont remember which version, but older than mine 4 sure). his browser performs much better, and the way i remember mine used to perform. i cleared the cache, reset to default, nothing seems to work.
even tried dolphin, no use...

I installed galaxo 1.6.2 and i'm having a few problems...first of all i can not format my sd cards thought the settings menu. i press format and the phone just remount the cards without any format made. second of all on my previous 1.5 a could connect with my cable to any computer and use it as an disk on key , but now it asks me for drivers ?

I've got some photos stuck in an MMS that I tried to download before I realised that I didnt have the correct MMS APN settings in (due to swapping to the Modaco ROM). The correct settings are now in but the MMS is stuck at "downloading" status. Is there any way I can rescue it, there is no forward option and I've successfully sent and recieved MMS since.

This link has some suggestions for proxy setting for early (pre-1.5) and later (1.5 thru 1.6) Android emulators. Basically, the older emulator used a "com.android.provider.setting.db" database or -http-proxy command line switch to set proxy/port/userid/ password. The Samsung i7500 Galaxy is, except the support from Samsung itself, a great Android smartphone with a very good (the best?) price for value. It's with 11,9mm the second slimmest Android phone after Nexus One with 11,5mm (right?) and has unlike the HTC phones a flash light and build in storage of 8GB. On most sites the Galaxy is (one of) the cheapest Android phones, I wonder if it's because Samsung is cheaper or HTC/Motorola more expensive by itself?
I personally would compare the i7500 with the HTC Hero, although in my opinion the i7500 still has a much better price for value.
Is it even possible to define if and which Android phone is a low, middle, or high-end smartphone?
Sure, it also depends for what purposes you bought and use your phone, but I still wonder were the i7500 would be if 1=low and 10=high end Android phone, and if there even is a number 10? I also think that the D-Pad is a big plus and not a minus in comparison to the scroll ball from HTC.

Does GAOSP Froyo support live wallpapers for i7500? If yes, can you recommend some that seem to run fine without (major) slowdown? I would suspect that the CPU is too slow to run most live wallpapers, but there might be some neat ones that are good to go?

Is there a setting anywhere in the browser (Either default or on Dolphin) which would keep the browser from opening up a new tab every time I try to open the browser? It gets very annoying closing 30 tabs a day. 90% of which are the home page.

If you open the default browser and type the address "about:debug" then press enter it will unlock numerous settings that are hidden. Once you do this it will appear that nothing has happened. Goto Menu>More>Settings and look at all the candy you just found.
Also on the Incredible there is an extra menu option that allows you to control and delete the hidden bookmarks feature.
