I tried to upload a video i recorded from a concert and had it set to use wi-fi and it shows the upload status bar for a second or two then says "waiting to retry" and does that everytime.

So I recorded some videos yesterday, assuming it would record in 720p by default. However when uploading to YouTube, it would only allow up to 480, not giving the option of 720p playback.
Well today, I noticed different resolutions. Is 1280x720 the 720p resolution? If so, then I may have figured it out myself.
I came from an HD2, and I used to take videos with it and upload directly to Youtube. Why cant the Vibrant do the same thing? I know it can be done (supposedly) via wifi, but thats stupid that I cant do it over 3g. So anyway, I took a video of my son, and wanted to UL it. Well, I set up my wifi, and it started. After a few seconds, it pauses and says something like waiting for wifi, retrying in 1 minute. then 2 mins, then it sometimes starts, sometimes climbs to 5 minutes. Eventually, it makes its way to 100% completed, but never succeeds. Always tells me "Network error, please try again". I tried literally 20 times last night to no avail.

I go to upload one right now and it looks normal connected to my account and everything. It says complete when its finished, but when I go to youtube the video isn't there. Not the phone's youtube player, but the actual in-page youtube player. That is flash, right? My phone is still on 2.1, how can this be possible?

Having Issues uploading my Videos on my Phone to YouTube. I am on Wifi and I have great signal. About every Percent the upload stops and says "Retrying Waiting 1 Minute" Any idea why it is doing this? I also have the phone plugged in and while it is plugged in the screen does not turn off.

View 14 Replies View RelatedAfter using both the EVO and SGS for weeks, I find the SGS inferior to the EVO in very few ways. The most major one that it being a 3G phone, the Internet speed is of course slower than the EVO's (I have 4G in my area, Los Angeles). I enjoy watch Youtube and SprintTV on the EVO as both the resolution and streaming experience very good, however after watch the low res Youtube on the SGS a few times, I can't make myself watch it under 3G anymore (wifi is better but still not as good as EVO on 4G). But since we can consistently get over 1 meg on 3G, why can't the SGS do better in Youtube video playback? Is there any program that can trick the phone in thinking it is on wifi and playback in higher resolution?

It tells me that it attempts to upload, fails right away and then attempts again in 1 min, etc and so the cycle goes.

But when I try to upload a video I've taken, it's forcing me to upload using WiFi. My 3G connection is not too bad (approx. 75 kilobytes/sec), so I wouldn't mind waiting a couple minutes for a video to upload, versus buying a WiFi AP for home, setting it up, taking up space and electricity, etc.

Anyone knows if a 1000mA car if enough?? Tonight, I was watching a Youtube HD video on 4G network (2/3 bars on 4G) with the phone connected to a 1000mA USB wall charger. After 10min, the battery dropped 2%...Well, even 1000mA cannot compensate the consumption of the battery. The power consumption of this phone is ridiculous. View 3 Replies View RelatedJust got the phone and loving it so far but im having major issue's with You Tube, Most video's take about 5 mins to load in low quality and in high quality it can take upto 30 mins or more which of course by that time the phone locks and the video has to restart again.
Any suggestions as to why it takes so long? Also is there a setting for video's to automatically start in high quality? And for the phone not to lock?
I've tried a few but all of them had to stretch or resize in some way or another. I was wondering if there was a great piece of software out there that could optimize video for this lovely screen. I heard samsung was in the process of making one for its "itunes" program but nothing else besides that.
