However when I can't make calls or send text messages, but people can call me, on top of this, when I turn on the phone it says enter unlock pin code, what is this code, how do I fix it?

Sep 13, 2010I am using the zune tv-out cable as recommended but I am unable to get the tv-out function to work.
I used another cable from an old video camera and the same result. I tried swapping the cables for the video but still no video .
I get audio but no video. I have also tried to press the 3.5mm cable in as hard as I could into the vibrant but with no results .
My vibrant is rooted and has the lag fix on it, could this possibly cause the tv-out function to not work?

Sep 15, 2010I accidentally activated my wifi through the notification bar. As soon as it was activated, i simply tapped it again to shut it down, however, it failed to do so. All that happened was that the wifi had a blue color and off in the bottom. I tried turning it off through the power setting widget, it says that updating wifi. It was stuck like that until i restarted the phone.

May 8, 2010Twice now, I've successfully used AR recovery routine to install the 2.1v3 (rooted) on my Eris, (previously running the original "v1" root).Install was a breeze--tho' I had to "push" the recovery .img and the flash routine by dragging them onto the SD/into nested "system" and "bin" folders manually while mounted to my Mac, as the first command prompt instructions generated error messages.the remainder of the command prompt instructions then executed successfully on my girlfriend's Windows machine, where I could install the SDK.I restored my Apps got everything set up, widget-ed, etc.All well until I turned my phone off when going to the theatre on powering back on: got to lock screen, but when I unlocked I had a black screen with an "unexpectedly stopped. Force close and try again" message for com.htc.launcher.When I click the Force Close button, I immediately get another dialogue saying com.htc.mms has stopped and then the first, com.htc.launcher dialogue pops up over and over, with the background behind never therefore progressing beyond the black screen with silver/gray "htc" logo.

Sep 24, 2010Ok, so I may be leaving the USA soon. I plan on unlocking my phone and going out of the country with it. I don't know how long I may be gone.maybe years, so here are a few questions.
1. I plan on going South Africa. According to this site, both the phone and 3g should work perfectly right? GSM World Coverage Map- GSM Country List by frequency bands
2. I have seen an app to unlock the Vibrant. It is by DaGentooBoy from XDA. Its called Samsung Galxy S Unlock. Would it be better for me to use this app or to just request T-Mobile to give me the unlock code. Are there any pros or cons for using either method.
3. If the OTA update or Froyo don't come out before I am gone, will I be able to get an OTA over wifi while I am in South Africa. Just to clarify, I will be using a local sim over there. I will discontinue from tmobile when I leave the US I know nothing of rooting. This is my first smartphone, so if possible I would be hesitant of doing any updates via the computer that requires me to loose all my info. I have too many apps and saved games and settings to download again so its just a scary thought of loosing it all.
4. Will google navigation work overseas. I have heard people say yes and no. I am hesitant to buy apps like co-pilot as they cost a lot and have mixed reviews, so I wanted to find out about this.
General :: Stuck At Samsung Splash - Logcat?
Jul 15, 2012I'm trying to port CM7 to my Captivate Glide and when I flashed that zip today my phone was stuck at the boot logo splash screen. I tried adb logcat but adb did not read my device. How do I get a logcat when my phone is stuck @ that screen?
Once I booted into recovery, however, logcat worked. However, obviously since all I did was boot to recovery there was not a logcat there.
I did have USB debugging on
