I've been in the process of turning my Galaxy S Vibrant into a Windows 7 Phone Clone, and I am using an app for a lock screen which works about 85% of the time, but after awhile, the other regular lock screen displays over this one creating two lock screens.

Nov 12, 2010The phone is one day old. Whenever I recieve a text.I get the notification in the top left-hand corner and the display will stay up until I press the sleep again. It will fade out in any other circumstance but whenever I get a text, the screen stays lit until I do something.The phone is brand new. I have only installed a live wallpaper. And the delay IS set to 15 seconds. The delay works on everything but that screen. It wastes so much battery in my pocket when I get a text and don't check it as the screen stays lit.

Aug 6, 2010Are there third party battery covers for the Samsung Galaxy S? And will they work for the Vibrant since they look so similar? What I mean by battery cover is the piece of plastic you remove to get to the battery and sim card, maybe also called the backplate. Because all the accessories I see on eBay are just covers for the cover itself. In video reviews, the vibrant has two battery covers that are different. I was thinking of something along those lines so I can swap up battery covers if I get bored of one.

Aug 15, 2010The galaxy s phones were made for high end games. I want to find and try all the high end games for android, so please post which games you found...Here are the high end games I've tried and what I think about them:
Asphalt HD from Gameloft. I really love this racing game. Its on par with racing games made for the psp. I hope they release an expansion pack with more cars/tracks/events. N.O.V.A from Gameloft. A pretty good fps. It kinda reminds me of halo. I wish there was more weapons and enemies/bosses. note: you cant get this game from the market, you have to buy from the gameloft website. Dungeon Hunter from Gameloft. A standard rpg. Im playing this right now. my thoughts so far is that its a pretty good rpg for a phone but pales in comparison to handheld console rpgs. note: you cant get this game from the market, you have to buy from the gameloft website. Hero of Sparta from gameloft. its a hack n slash game. this is the only game from the gameloft hd series that I didnt like so far. I havent tried the other 5 HD games from gameloft but I plan on doing so.
I really want to try all the high end games for android so please any games you have found

Samsung Vibrant :: No TV Out / Caused By Rooting - Lag Fix?
Sep 13, 2010I am using the zune tv-out cable as recommended but I am unable to get the tv-out function to work.
I used another cable from an old video camera and the same result. I tried swapping the cables for the video but still no video .
I get audio but no video. I have also tried to press the 3.5mm cable in as hard as I could into the vibrant but with no results .
My vibrant is rooted and has the lag fix on it, could this possibly cause the tv-out function to not work?

Aug 15, 2010I rooted my phone, installed lagfix, and removed some bloatware from the phone via Titanium. The phone was stupid fast after doing this, almost everything loaded up instantly. However I started to notice some things weren't functioning properly. Apps on the marketplace would not download, I would try to download Launcher Pro and nothing would happen, nothing downloaded. Tried this with other apps, same thing. I rebooted the phone and noticed upon reboot that a force close/app error happened, not sure which app it was but it had google in it. I have no idea what app it could have been since I only removed apps if I knew what they were like Slacker, Kindle, Sims etc. Maybe removing the Sims caused the error?
I also noticed that emails wouldn't send (or would take a long time) even when I was on wifi. And the XDA app wouldn't work. I would go to make a post, click the text input box, but it wouldn't let me move the text cursor. I would press the keyboard and nothing happened.
I removed a crap ton of apps but they weren't anything major. I also removed the samsung widgets since I would never use those. Guess I should have asked on the forums before removing so much stuff.
Which apps are okay to remove? Any ideas on which app could have caused the market to mess up?
