Samsung Moment : Shows Up As M900 - Other Devices In Device Manager

I was trying to get calkulins DE03 on my moment tonight, and since I've put dd03/dd10 on, I thought it would be easy but I obviously messed up something. i have the new 2.1 rom flasher, i have joeykrims 2.1.3, those dont seem to be the issue. the issue is now when I place the phone in download mode, I no longer get a data connection. I just get something called m900 under the Other Device category in Device Manager. i have no idea what driver I need to make this happen, and I certainly dont remember this from flashing it the previous two time. I tried to install the drivers from the Technica YT video, but that didnt seem to solve anything. when the phone is in Normal Mode, I can mount and do all sorts of things via USB, so clearly, this is a Download Mode driver issue.

Is there a way to use your samsung moment to give you internet for your ps3 to use the Play station network? I can't connect my phone to anything except the charger. the computer is up stairs,and the ps3 has to stay down stairs.

I have the latest froyo rom 1.87 installed and i can not get this app to work. Didn't work with the previous version either. I don't understand what is going on or what m doing wrong. Have tried to have my PC, blackberry,ps3 and psp try to find the hotspot but none of them could, not with manual entry of the SSID either. Is there anything m supposed to be changing in other settings of the phone?

I have had my Moment for about 2 months now and was wondering about which is the prefered Task Manager?
My friend had the HTC Ares, and he touted TasKiller which I have been using, and I briefly used Advanced Task Killer before I really understood the purpose.
Any recommendations that are Moment specific?

if there is a contact manager available for my Moment that is similar to iContact that was available on my Windows mobile 6.5 phone? The feature I'm looking for is a screen with all letters of the alphabet and I just single click on the letter to get all the contacts that start with the letter. I really don't like having to scroll through all the names to go down to "S" and "T".

Trying the 'Device Self Service 1.1' app to update my PRL (prefered roaming list) before I head out on a trip. I expect the 'udpate firmware' option not to work, but the 'update profile' and 'update prl' do not work. When trying to run either, I get a 'no service' error, even though I have 4 bars.

I want to root my Samsung Moment so that I can put Live Wallpapers on it and such, but every time I go to DL mode my computer says "USB Device Not Recognized" I have tried with and without USB Debugging on, install uninstall Drivers, going to REGEDIT to erase SAMSUNG drivers, formatting my phone, two different USB cables, three machines, and yet IT-STILL-WONT-WORK. So I tried to update my phone from home a few days ago. It didn't work. I got to the Volume Down+Camera+End step and plugged in the USB and it said "USB device not recognized." Something like that. I tried for about an hour, restarting PC, toggling USB debugging, and turning off the phone. After that, I got fed up and deleted the update software from my desktop and told my mom to take me to Sprint next weekend.

I am working on putting the new update on my wifes phone and I already installed the drivers needed on my windows xp but everytime I plug in my wifes moment it says USB device not recognized. One of the USB devices attached to this computer has malfunctioned! I've tried everything I installed from sprint download site. I have tried Samsung studio. Also the tethering site. Also just the drivers nothing seems to work.

I am tired of having to got to mainscreen->settings->wireless and networks->bluetooth settings to se a list of paired devices and the name of the one that is connected. So I figured I'd wade through the morass of bluetooth widgets on the market and find one that not only turns on/off bluetooth, but also shows list of paired devices and their connect status.Lo-and-behold I couldn't find a one.Anybody out there know of a widget that does this (or even close)?

HTC Sync (with cable to Outlook on my desktop) worked fine for a few weeks after I got the Evo and doesn't work now. Trying to start it brings up an error message "Unable to create device manager instance". I've searched the web and forums and have tried every suggestion, none of which work. I want to get the width and height of my device to know what type device it is ie QVGA, HVGA ,WVGA.. Also i need to adjust some layouts according to width and height of the screen.

All these methods return wrong width and height for the 240x320 devices namely Samsung Europa and Alcatel which i have. Width = 320 Height = 240.. This is wierd as some of the critical functionality is getting hampered .. I think this is really a basic thing which shd be correctly provided. Please help me with this issue .

getting Device Manager working on my new Galaxy S5. If I recall, Device Manager looks at GPS position first. If that is turned off, it rolls to WiFi. If that is off, it rolls to Cell communications. It worked well on my old Galaxy S2, even when GPS was off, it still found the phone within a certain range.
With my Galaxy S5, it doesn't seem to work when GPS is turned of. WiFi or Cell signal will not allow device manager to find the phone.

As you may have heard Android Device Manager has rolled out to 2.2 and above. To activate it, go to settings and then tap Device Administrators. There should be an option to activate Android Device Manager.
To track it and wipe the data follow the directions: Go to [URL]... log in and then click the settings gear under your account info. There should be an option for Android Device Manager.
