I have the latest froyo rom 1.87 installed and i can not get this app to work. Didn't work with the previous version either. I don't understand what is going on or what m doing wrong. Have tried to have my PC, blackberry,ps3 and psp try to find the hotspot but none of them could, not with manual entry of the SSID either. Is there anything m supposed to be changing in other settings of the phone?

Is there a way to use your samsung moment to give you internet for your ps3 to use the Play station network? I can't connect my phone to anything except the charger. the computer is up stairs,and the ps3 has to stay down stairs.

A lot of the apps are on the I phone and I touch which is pretty cool. But can anyone tell me if it is possible to maybe change the phone kinda like jail breaking? Is there anyway of making the Moment a wireless tether for internee?

I turn it on and it says that its been granted superuser permissions but then no data moves up or down(or it'll say .4 down and .2 up) and no devices find it! View 9 Replies View RelatedI rooted my Eris and I am running KaosFroyo v37. I downloaded Wireless Tether, and its not working. Its broadcasting that it made an available wireless access point, but when I try to connect to it nothing happens. My computer wont link up to it. I know my WiFi card works because I have a working wireless access point where I live that I use every day with no issues. Its like my laptop sees the network, but wont associate with it. I tried using barnacle and it did the exact same thing.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI was trying to get calkulins DE03 on my moment tonight, and since I've put dd03/dd10 on, I thought it would be easy but I obviously messed up something. i have the new 2.1 rom flasher, i have joeykrims 2.1.3, those dont seem to be the issue. the issue is now when I place the phone in download mode, I no longer get a data connection. I just get something called m900 under the Other Device category in Device Manager. i have no idea what driver I need to make this happen, and I certainly dont remember this from flashing it the previous two time. I tried to install the drivers from the Technica YT video, but that didnt seem to solve anything. when the phone is in Normal Mode, I can mount and do all sorts of things via USB, so clearly, this is a Download Mode driver issue.

Not working for me- connection is establishing between phone and computer but no data is being transferred. According to the google code page for the app there's a problem with Desire compatibility. I'd use the wired USB internet sharing feature in the meantime but that isn't working for me either.

Anyone else experience it dropping the internet connection or wifi after about an hour? It works great up to that point and doesn't show an error or anything but it just stops communicating. I have to stop tethering and start tethering and its back up again. Its not a huge issue, just something that I would resolve if I could. It was happening on pre9 but I upgraded to pre13 and it still happens. Im on Myns RLS3 with Netarchy 4191bfs kernel but it was doing it on the stock HTC #10 kernel that came with Myns.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI installed fresh-cdma-hero-2.0b2. Wireless tether for remote users is not working for me. I would like to use this program. I am able to get the laptop to see and connect to the phone. But the laptop cannot ping or browse out to the internet. I have security disabled (WEP) as I read that it doesnt work. I have tried it with access control on and off to no resolution. I have tried it in Windows and in OSX without any luck. Could someone tell me what the trick is? I tried with what the Fresh image came with which I think is wireless_tether_2_0-pre7.apk and I also downloaded and tried pre8. I've searched multiple forums over the last 3 days but haven't found any solid solutions at all.

View 11 Replies View RelatedI rooted my phone with the one click app, side loaded the wireless tether app in and it works fine for tethering. The problem is when I choose to stop tethering the app says it's in an unknown state and to restart my phone.
Tethering still works fine but when I click stop tethering I can still see the beacon name on my client device. Also when I try and force stop it, I can't, it's still running. The only way to really kill it is to reboot the phone.
If I am not giving enough info I apologize and will give more if needed.
I have my phone rooted with toast's i removes some bloatware so i know its rooted properly. i download wireless tether for rooted phone. when i click start tether it says. unable to start tethering, please try again.
