Samsung Moment :: USB Device Not Recognized DL Mode

I want to root my Samsung Moment so that I can put Live Wallpapers on it and such, but every time I go to DL mode my computer says "USB Device Not Recognized" I have tried with and without USB Debugging on, install uninstall Drivers, going to REGEDIT to erase SAMSUNG drivers, formatting my phone, two different USB cables, three machines, and yet IT-STILL-WONT-WORK. I have tried on XP 64/32 and on 7. I have Eclair.DE03 Kernel 2.6.29 Firware 2.1 -Update1

So I tried to update my phone from home a few days ago. It didn't work. I got to the Volume Down+Camera+End step and plugged in the USB and it said "USB device not recognized." Something like that. I tried for about an hour, restarting PC, toggling USB debugging, and turning off the phone. After that, I got fed up and deleted the update software from my desktop and told my mom to take me to Sprint next weekend.

So my phone was working fine up untill i did the update. now i plug my phone in and it says "USB Device not recognized" clicked on the message and the pic is what it said. its on 2 different computers too. tried un and reinstalling Kies, Drivers, Re-started,

I can't figure out the exact circumstances, but at times the USB connection between my phone and the PC gets broken, and my phone no longer gets recognized. It seems to be a phone-side problem, because it is only rectified when I reboot the phone, but not the PC. The last time it happened was after an incoming call disrupted my PDANet connection. When I hung up, the USB icon was gone, and I had to reboot.

my moment connects just fine to my pc running xp. same OS on laptop and when i plug in i get a tone, select "mount" on phone. the phone thinks its connected but nothing on laptop (not recognized). device manager says its working properly, could this be affected by admin which i am not? any help is awesome.

The mounting and unmounting of the sd card, I read up and Ordered a class 6 verbatum card. But the big Issue is my windows will not recognize the behold 2. When I hook it up it tells me usb device not recognized then inside it says Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43) Port_#0006.Hub_#0005. I have tried to install the usb drives I found on this site but it will not allow them to install. I have gone in and deleted My upper and lower system file in the registry.
I have bought a new cable < universal> I did not have the OEM cable and Samsung refused to send me one said it was tmobiles responsibility. I have hooked it up to a Vista 32 bit system and nothing. Also when I hook it too the usb it only shows charging no usb notification on the screen. I seem to remember reading it should have a usb symbol on the upper right corner? I have also already set the system setting to usb mass storage.

My Samsung s3 phone says usb device connected not recognized when i connect to any PC even though other phones similar to mine does connect. i have tried many tricks from different sources but it still doesn't work. when i connect it in the custom mode by starting the phone with pressing Home/power and volume buttons it is recognized and says device ready to use but the moment i swict the phone in normal mode it goes back to not recognized.

So I have a Samsung Vibrant (just got it recently) and I'm having problems when i connect it to the computer. It gives me an USB device not recognized on my windows 8 computer. I have spent all morning searching and reinstalling drivers and trying my old pc and new cables and i found out that my old windows 7 computer with 4GB of ram and an overloaded hard drive will detect my device the problem there is it not my main computer and i don't want to have to connect all the vga cables boot it up connect mouse and ets to use this computer just to be able to copy files, and do other things from my computer to my phone I don't know why my main computer dell inspiron windows 8 will not work when it was a couple of days ago when i had a problem with connectivity and had to flash back to stock but now it wont connect.

I have been running varying versions of cyanogenmod 10.1 and 10.2 for about year on my T-Mobile Galaxy S3, but today I tried to update it to a version of 11 today without a computer, just on my phone through the standard Cyanogenmod built in rom updater. It downloaded fine, but when attempting to install it it had an error and stopped. Now the only thing my phone will do is boot into clockwork mod recovery mode, and download mode. The download mode won't be recognized by kies or my computer, though my computer does make a beep sound when I plug it in. I have tried a lot of things, but nothing at all will work so my phone is essentially bricked right now.

I've had no really problem and i had the phone since it was brought out..on TMobile in the uk. A couple of months a go i connected the phone to my pc to up load some pics and the windows message came up saying"USB Device Not Recognized".I couldn't get it to connect for weeks, then out of the blue it did.A week ago i got an system update (2.1, if not how do i do this??)through the phone and not it won't connect again?

Have just downloaded the new windows 7 sync for my hero and installed. Pluged phone into usb and nothing, all i get is a windows message saying device drivers could not be installed properley, then usb device not recognized. Have uninstalled and reinstalled software and that hasnt helped. Also when i do plug phone into the usb, absolutely nothing happens on my hero. Please help as i have been waiting ages for the windows 7 sync software to come out as i couldnt get my head round the old work around, and want to start getting the full benifits from my hero.

So all of a sudden my phone will not connect to any computer regardless of what usb cord I use. I get a message that pops up in windows that says "USB Device Not Recognized" yet my phone is charging. I've wiped multiple times and reflashed my rom and still no luck. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the USB drivers but it didnt do anything. I really need to be able transfer a ton of files to my sd card from my computer.

Sorry if this should go in a different spot. I attempted to root my phone, and as usual, the Sw updater couldn't find the drivers. Now, once I put the battery back in my phone, it goes into recovery mode. I'm worried that I broke it. If I select either the reboot or update options it goes to the screen with the "!" and the green android character and stays that way. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

That's the error win 7 gives me when I plug in my Hero (cdma, not sprint, running zen-EXP-0.9.6.2 update 2) it won't let me do anything with the phone via the computer. I've tried changing sd cards to no avail, tried changing roms, but the phone wouldn't finish booting with any other rom that I have, (or even a reinstall of the currently used rom) I don't have any previous nandroid backups. (I swear I made them! but they weren't found!) I'm at a loss as to what even happened here unless it was a malicious program.

When I connect my Desire with a USB cable, the PC says "Device not recognised", and the phone keeps searching for a while untill it says it cannot find HTC Sync. No contact is possible, also not as diskdrive. What I have tried to solve this; Downloaded latest version of HTC Sync, gave it a fresh install (firewall and internet connection turned off), rebooted PC, rebooted phone, but to no avail. Also I checked the USB ports in Device manager, and at one port (the one with the Desire connected), it says "unknown device". It looks like no drivers are installed.
I also tried copying the drivers manually to the win32 directory, but this did not help. All this I repeated several times, browsed the web for hours and hours, made a handfull of calls to the friendly people at HTC, but neither of these solved the issue. To complicate matters; the first couple of days Syncing just worked fine, the two weeks after that not anymore. On some occasions, after a complete new installation-session, the device connected once, but not anymore after that. Since the calendar has become the center pillar of my existence, I am on the verge of becoming hugely frustrated. Hoping the truth is out there, and somebody of you guys knows about it..

I am trying to add my motorola milestone device into PC and debug in the device. When i put the usb cable, the device opens in data storage mode and opens the folder. But when i do a "adb devices" i dont see any device. i did the usb_driver fresh installation guide, but it returned "windows could not find a better driver than currently installed" I havd pointed to sdpath/usb_driver what's wrong and how to resolve this?

I am using Micromax mobile (Canvas 2 ) for the last 7 months. But for the last 15 days am unable to connect my mobile on my laptop. When i try to connect it it says "The last USB device you connected to this computer malfunctioned, and Windows does not recognize it"... Am really stuck with this issue for the for 20 days .

Yesterday, i installed the Cyanocream rom in my GY, i did not like and i uninstalled, i back for the stock rom with the CWM Backup, my phone says it is charging when it is desconect from the charger and i have problems with the USB conection, the phone does not recognize the USB, on the pc shows: "USB Device Not Recognized" i have the samsung drivers installed in my pc, i want conect the phone USB to restore it with the CWM

I had screen mode widget installed and it was not working correctly, so I uninstalled and tried to reinstall. I went to market and it displays it as installed but it does not give me an option to open or uninstall which is the other button. The two options show up on the bottom but they are light grey and do not function.

i have the moment and pressing the red hang up button will turn the screen on when its in sleep mode, but when i press it again to turn the screen off it wont, it has to time out. now the button still works to end calls and if i press and hold it will bring up the shut down window but like i said it wont just turn the screen off i have to wait for it to time out each time. is this a hardware problem or what is wrong.

After wasting over an hour trying to update to 2.1, I've given up on trying to get the drivers to work, but now my phone is stuck in Download Mode. Is there a way to get out of this, and turn my phone back on, so I can use it for now, before taking it to the Sprint store tomorrow to have them do the update?

For those of you familiar with this problem, it's when your Moment's signal bars displays an "x" but is stuck in AIRPLANE MODE. When you hold down the END button to pull up the 3 item menu you see this (note that it says AIRPLANE MODE IS ON):
Silent Mode
(Sound is ON)
Airplane Mode
(Airplane Mode is ON)
Power Off
So I battery pulled the phone...didn't work. I then did the VOLUME UP/CALL/END button hold down trick to bring up the root menu and did the Master Reset (which took my phone back to stock + wiped out all of my apps and data so BACKUP YOUR PHONE FIRST):
Firmware: 2.1-update1
Baseband Version: S:M900.8.OS.DI06
Kernel Version: 2.6.29
Build Number: ECLAIR.DJ07
...didn't work
I then went into the root menu again and did the REBOOT, still nothing
I then proceeded to get mad and hit the phone a few times and BANG, the signal came back and has been back since (2 days running).
Is there something in the hardware configuration I can change to fix this lock-up issue? If I open up the phone, is there something I can do to fix this? Please someone help...obviously my solution won't last as a fix

I just recently came upon my new samsung moment, so i wanted to go ahead and root it after having my rooted hero with froyo, and i loved it.
Anywhos, i got to the point where I update it using the files i got off of the tutorial, and now im at the point where i need to boot into recovery in order to flash the phone with my new rom. However, here lies the issue. My phone is turned off, and i hold down volume down, and both the call and end buttons simultaneously. It starts to load up, but then it just basically loads into my phone like it normally should. I hold the buttons down all the way through this time, and same deal.. so what am i doing wrong here?

(Thread reboot due to 2.1 update)Mods, please delete any comments in this thread up to 5/14 if possible. Any old issues from 1.5 no longer seem applicable to the phone now that 2.1 is official...
- Camera preview does not display full scene that is captured in the image, especially noticeable in Google Goggles
- Phone will sometimes dial random contacts instead of the desired one when making a call to a contact with multiple stored numbers
- Pandora freezes phone (requiring battery pull) if headphones or power plug pulled out during playback
- Screen sometimes comes on with no input from user, draining battery
- Phone still has Airplane mode issue (may be hardware?)
- Proximity sensor is either broken by 2.1 or has a bug: screen stays on during calls and will sometimes turn off during use, requiring a finger over sensor to see screen.

I have windows update turned on. I tried checking this on another USB port, but same doesnt get recognised. I even tried it on different PC, it gets perfectly recognised there.
I checked Samsung Galaxy s2, galaxy ACE, desire C, but none of them could get connected. In the device manager it shows an error "THE DEVICE CANNOT START (code 10)"
I even tried using ANdroid SDK drivers & also the SAmsung drivers on their site. But it coudnt start. Windows update also coudn't find a suitable driver for it.
