My question is: where this serial number comes from? Does it burned on flash of device one time during a manufectoring or adb drivers assignees it dynamically or it comes with release that is burned on device?

I would like to be able to generate unique serial numbers for each Android device for use in unlocking an application. How could I do this? EDIT: The reason is I want to revamp a paid application and provide users who have paid for the old version, which will have a different package name, a way to obtain the full version by downloading an unlikable free version of the application. I would push an update to the old version that would generate and display the code that they could enter to turn the Free version into a fully functional version.

I then tried to downgrade the phone installing the the Sprint RUU and when I tried to install the AndroidSDK drivers I can't get to see the Serial Number of my device when I search in the command bar (following the steps of the Unlock). I'm using Windows XP with Service Pack 2. Any help will be appreciated.

However, according to this output, I can't tell the difference between each emulator device at all. I need to know which emulator runs on what AVD, then I can install APKs or send commands to the emulator.How can I recognize each emulator device or get the serial number of emulator after it runs?
So i was trying to root my sprint htc hero. iam coming from windomo so i am a noob. I set up ADB and my serial number comes up after i write cdcd AndroidSDKToolsadb devices (with a space after each slash.) but next to the serial it says offline. Why is this? i tied doing the rooting process and when i write adb push asroot2 /data/local/ a bunch of stuff comes up in cmd and then next when i write adb shell chmod 0755 /data/local/asroot2. It says device offline, why is this and how do i fix it?

Is there any plan to increase the number of Exchange type accounts on HTC Android devices. Maybe in the new Sense Updates? Why did HTC not implement the code included in the stock Androind mail app (since at least 2.1), or at lease leave it alone! Since Hotmail has improved it's service to offer an Exchange style connection option there is a real day to day need to have at least two Exchange accounts on one device. I have been using the stock 2.2 android email client for some time and although it feeds into the unified calender app it does not feed into the Sense contacts ribon etc., I also goes high CPU at times (file conflict?) so is not a suitable workaround. And no I do not wish to use a third party app such as countdown, I like that with HTC's Sense system all things feed into a common thread - third party apps I have found have their own databases for email & calender etc. which I do not want.

All these methods return wrong width and height for the 240x320 devices namely Samsung Europa and Alcatel which i have. Width = 320 Height = 240.. View 1 Replies View RelatedI was trying to get calkulins DE03 on my moment tonight, and since I've put dd03/dd10 on, I thought it would be easy but I obviously messed up something. i have the new 2.1 rom flasher, i have joeykrims 2.1.3, those dont seem to be the issue. the issue is now when I place the phone in download mode, I no longer get a data connection. I just get something called m900 under the Other Device category in Device Manager. i have no idea what driver I need to make this happen, and I certainly dont remember this from flashing it the previous two time. I tried to install the drivers from the Technica YT video, but that didnt seem to solve anything. when the phone is in Normal Mode, I can mount and do all sorts of things via USB, so clearly, this is a Download Mode driver issue.
