Samsung Galaxy S :: Protected Apps Missing From Market After Official 2.2

I just noticed while upgrading from the "pulled" 2.2 to the "official" 2.2 some of my purchased apps are no longer available from the market. Cannot be found at all. Someone said that Google has to approve every new ROM to get complete access to the market. I was just wondering if it is I who have the glitch or if anyone else has the same problems. I have heard from two other sources (in Sweden) who have the same issues.

I just installed Froyo in Kies. Everything went smoothly and the phone seems to work like a charm after installation. The only thing weird but not bad was that all the applications were in different order. BUT the first bad thing I noticed was that the Android Market application was gone! Is this normal? Can I get it back somehow?

I'm new to this, but when I look in Market I sometimes can't find certain apps. Was just looking for Where (where.com) a good travel app and it's not in there. Also when I install Yelp, it installs but immediately closes when I try to launch.
Is this a canada thing or what? Is the firmware so old that these phones are useless?

I've been trying to download the "Desktop Visualizer" (a free app) but it wasn't showing up in the market, and no matter how I tried (QR codes, direct links, appbrain), I couldn't get it to download. Turns out it's copy protected, which seems to be the problem. I'm running 2.1 on my milestone (rooted) but I've googled a bit, and other rooted people don't seem to have this problem. Does anyone know what's causing it, and, if known, how to fix it?

One side effect I've noticed from the recent update: it seems like some apps are just gone from the Android Market. The one I know for sure is the MLB.com At Bat 2010 app. AppBrain still lists it (in fact, it shows that it got a price drop about 10 hours ago), but scanning the QR code, searching for it in the Android Market, even trying to install it from AppBrain all lead to the same thing: The item could not be found. I don't know if this is happening with other apps or not. I do know for sure that the MLB.com At Bat 2010 app was there before the update as I was trying to decide whether I was justified in spending the money to listen to the playoff games at work. But now it's just gone without a trace.Anyone else notice this or other apps missing?

There are some apps i would like (that are available on the iphone for example) tesco clubcard...on screen barcode. skype...free face-to-face calls. im sure there must be others....

I have been having this problem since i updated to froyo JP2 package my external micro SD card when mounted to computer and i try to copy over the files it says it is write protected but there is no key to slide, as everybody knows micro sd cards donot have that feature by design. this is the best part when the same card no changes i put in to a cardreader hooked up to my laptop works perfectly fine. it was working fine before i flashed the JP2 firmware. what am i doing wrong i even formated the card in the phone itself but still no luck. My hunch is this when i flashed with new firmware i never took out the sd card and the sim card is that any reason, i know i can just flash it again but i already arranged everything nice on my galaxy so was wondering if it is then i will go ahead.

1. How to Boot into Recovery.
2. Fix Package permissions.
3. Apply any zip from SD and choose one particular zip.

I dont know if its just me or if anyone else is having the problem. Apps such as weatherbug, barcode scanner, pkt auctions, and amazon just to name a few.I have even went back to the oringinal sprint ruu with not luck and then no luck with the OTA update. Can anyone try these apps and see if you have any luck.

I had Shooter Lite (a free ballistics app) on stock Hero. Then I wiped and flashed Fresh. Now that app won't show up in the market for me.I know I read something about apps not showing up if the ROM is not "signed" by Google, or something. But the zip from Fresh 2.1.2 ends with "_signed_release". So what do you do to get missing apps to show up?

I have seen a lot of posts saying that people once they rooted they lost access to some of the apps they had with android 1.5.This is an HTC hero rom that was ported over to the eris that I am running right now. With this rom which is running 2.1 you will get access to the protected apps on the market (the apps that come up missing). Read the known bugs section though. Included is an app that circumvents the power down hang and I actully like using it more then shutting down the phone the convential way hope this helps. People running eris with 2.1 don't have access because it has not been officially released yet. So I downloaded the OTA update today without a hitch. I went to the Market today to finally download Pac-Man and maybe de Blob, but they're both missing. No big. I tried to do a search for them and...they aren't there. Has anyone else noticed anything like this?

My wife has just got rid of her faulty X10 and moved to the X10 mini pro.
She's very frustrated as apps are just not showing up in the market. She used Bloo all the time along with AG Newspapers UK and Flood-it (game), these were 3 of the most used apps she had but when she searches the market for them it says they are not there! I have managed to get hold of the latest Bloo beta apk and installed that and it works fine.
Any ideas why these apps do not show up? the mini pro is 320x240 so it's not a resolution problem (same res as my old G1), the apps show up on my Desire (same phone network etc) the phone was unbranded/unlocked from Expansys

I just noticed that market options are missing (Skyraider 2.52 Sense).
Only "top free" and "Just in" are options on the top. No paid apps, but some show in the "Just in". I thought there we supposed to be no market problems with these roms?
They appeared now. Took about seven hours, but they appeared.

Today i have been having some fun today downloading and yes buying (!) apps from the mkt. well, i started getting a little instability - i couldn't get an IP from my wireless router --- i had d/l "wifi keep alive" and "wifi reconnect" and "wifi reassociation". so i went to the mkt intending to uninstall one by one until i restored my ability to DHCP to the router. selecting the "downloads" section of the mkt revealed only about two pages worth of apps. believe me - i have a LOT more apps than that! mostly all the apps that appear are purchased apps (one exception - gmail is there too) - but even then, not "all" of my purchased apps are there! in doing my due dilligence checking to see if anyone else had this problem and solved it, i found this thread and this thread - neither of which have anything to say to help me. ANY idea how to get my apps to show up in the mkt? the apps themselves ARE STILL ON MY hero, they just don't appear in the mkt)
