I see there was a fix for the streaming media problem - works great now! What about the apps that are missing from the market? Any progress down that avenue? I've mentioned it a few times in other threads, but I would like to get MLB At Bat 2010 back!

Well...I updated to DE03...and *love* it...with a couple of exceptions....
First, I seem to be missing my Voicemail app. The phone works...but there is *no* indicatoin of any voicemails.... unless, of course, I dial my own number....at which point the pleasant voice says: "You have 15 new voicemails...First new voicemail..."
So...what did I *fail* to install? (and yes...I'm using the basic phone dialer...nothing fancy...and BTW...my Contacts are fine...)
And second...my Calendar App seems to be messed-up...the Icon is there...but when i open it...it force-closes immediately.
Third...i seem to have issues with my GPS...perhaps The Navigator is greedy...but it seems that something in my GPS doesn't like to share...if i try and use two different apps that utilize GPS...it stops working, and i have to reboot to get the GPS to function again.
Lastly...i seem to get a black-screen lockup for no discernable reason....pulling the battery fixes it...but that is (obviously) pretty annoying.
In Gmail I have my contacts sorted by groups, easy enough, on occasion I need to add a new group or move a contact from one group to another, which is easy enough using a pc and my Gmail account. However, I cannot seem to add new groups or edit existing groups on my Moment. I can see the groups, I can sort by groups, but I cannot find an option that will allow me to add or edit any groups. Does anyone know how this is done on the Moment? I suppose I could use the browser to log on to my Gmail account and change it from there but isnt that sort of redundant since I am on my Gmail account using the Moment? Also, maybe someone knows when Moment contacts sync with my Gmail why dont the contact photos sync? One more thing, anyone ever on a call and it goes dead and after a few seconds the phone rings with unknown in the caller ID. When answer it is some from my address book that should have appeared in my caller ID Anyway, now I have to quickly hang up on this person to call the person my phone hung up on to receive this call. Its like the call waiting gets disengaged and hangs up the present call to allow the new incoming. I also had this problem on a HTC Hero I had before I got the Moment also.

Player doesn't seem to find them The folder for the one album I have also has the album art in it. The player won't play the album in the right order...just has the songs alphabetical. no sort option that I can see?

In general I am thrilled with the newest Android offering for my phone, but I notice that now when I open the "Contacts" menu, my options are only to call or email that contact. In 1.6 on that same screen I had the option to Message them as well, is that something that could be wired back up? I use Handcent for messaging if that makes any difference.

Also I dont have a widget for sprint TV. I am running Zefies cl14 and 10.3 kernel. I did not remove these apps thru rooting. Where did these apps go?
View 7 Replies View RelatedI just noticed while upgrading from the "pulled" 2.2 to the "official" 2.2 some of my purchased apps are no longer available from the market. Cannot be found at all. Someone said that Google has to approve every new ROM to get complete access to the market. I was just wondering if it is I who have the glitch or if anyone else has the same problems. I have heard from two other sources (in Sweden) who have the same issues.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI'm new to this, but when I look in Market I sometimes can't find certain apps. Was just looking for Where (where.com) a good travel app and it's not in there. Also when I install Yelp, it installs but immediately closes when I try to launch.
Is this a canada thing or what? Is the firmware so old that these phones are useless?
Do not get me wrong - I love the Android, especially the vast amount of apps to choose from. But has anyone noticed how much more vibrant and polished the Palm Pre apps are as opposed to Android apps? Take the weather apps for example (Weather Bug or Weather Channel). They are so much brighter and complex on the Pre. I know the Pre apps are far less in number, but the ones that are there seem much more polished. Am I crazy, or does anyone else notice this?

The one I know for sure is the MLB.com At Bat 2010 app. AppBrain still lists it (in fact, it shows that it got a price drop about 10 hours ago), but scanning the QR code, searching for it in the Android Market, even trying to install it from AppBrain all lead to the same thing: The item could not be found. I don't know if this is happening with other apps or not. I do know for sure that the MLB.com At Bat 2010 app was there before the update as I was trying to decide whether I was justified in spending the money to listen to the playoff games at work. But now it's just gone without a trace.Anyone else notice this or other apps missing?

Fast downloads and the Android Market is great. how to remove apps that came preloaded ie: weather channel, bejeweled demo? Also when you return to the browser it takes you back to where you returned to the home screen telling me it keeps pages running. Any idea how to stop or shut them down when you exit them?

View 11 Replies View RelatedAlright I've rooted to Joeykrim 1.9.5 and I can't put themes ON. Also I can't find an UNCOMPLICATED way to get rid of unwanted apps. I think its because MAx's recovery isn't loaded but IDK. I've tried the volume, speak, end to load themes but doesn't work. Anyone give me a hand??

Might help others find something that they did not know was out there in the market. So if anyone has any suggestions, please post with the name of the app, description and if it costs or if it is free (free is always good).I just found this app called tunewiki.This is a music app. Not just another regular music app, but pretty cool. So if you have any songs on your phone, you click on it, then it will find the cover art (kind of like what pandora does) but also show the song lyrics. You can then hit the tv tube looking icon and then it will search youtube so you can see the video. And this is free.

I have lil brothers and nephews who I don't mind playing games or watching movies on my phone; but I don't want them getting into certain "adult" apps or my fake call and sms apps. I believe it's possible to do b/c there's an app called Call Log (Secret Monitor) that has in its description "No icon in the list of applications. Completely hidden at you eyes". I downloaded it just to check and it really doesn't appear in the menu. So does anyone know how to do it for any app that we choose?

I think I'd like something, but I'm really hesitant to pay for one that I may not like, and I also worry that I'd not really understand all I could do with one and therefore not truly appreciate it.
I've also seen very mixed reviews on nearly every home replacement app.
So I'm curious about the opinions of other Moment owners on these home replacement apps and also if there are any good places for thorough information on them.
I finally updated my moment and I need help getting it back to how it was. I backed up all my apps, text and calls, but I don't know how to get them back on the phone. Google did my contacts, but not my text. I see my text in my gmail, but how do I put them back on my phone, as well as my apps. I went to the market and downloaded Astro as b4, and I went to my sdcard and to the folder named backup, but what's next?
View 5 Replies View Relatedi have had my phone for a few weeks and i am loving it. i downloaded the pandahome hero theme for my phone and it is really good and runs a little faster than the moment stock screen, but it crashes a lot. does anyone else have this theme and have similar issues? it seems to freak out when i open the key board when im not in a texting app. just curious if anyone has run into this issue. next pandora does not run well at all. everytime i do anything while pandora is up it starts breaking up and sounds like a transformer is talking. wondering if there is a fix for this at all. thanks for any help. also in an unrealted note, has anyone used androidplayground.net? its like 2 bucks a month for unlimited free apps. is this a good site or is it shifty? just curios if anyones tried it.
