My phone spent the better part of the day on charge at work. When I got into the car, it was flashing red at me and telling me to plug it into power now. After a 30 minute car ride, it was showing mostly green. This happened once before but I figured if I ignored it, it would go away.

My battery seems to do alright but one thing that has really been bugging me is that every time my battery gets to 30/20% it dies almost instantly lasting no more than 15 minutes from normal usage (texting, checking email).
Is this normal or is mine a bad battery or a battery gone bad rather? Thing is the battery lasts a long except for the last quarter of the battery. I've never seen my battery hit any values below 20% except 5% which is when it turns off immediately after.Call for a replacement battery or is this normal? Do i have to reset my battery or something?
Is it normal to have the bottom back get somewhat hot while using for an extended period of time?

View 5 Replies View RelatedI performed a backup prior to flashing back to the SS 4.5 and have used the ROM before however I have no idea why my contacts aren't coming back up at all. My SD card is in the droid, and I know the contacts file is there just fine, but is almost as if it just isn't being seen, so none of my fb contact info will sync naturally because it doesn't see any contact info to sync to. Any ideas on how to get the contacts back up? The only other change I made was I changed to a 1.1 GHz LV kernal since the 1.0 was giving me problems...

View 1 Replies View RelatedWhen I first bought it, I was not happy with the features it was offering so I searched and found out about the CM7(Cyanogenmod 7) mod, and decided that I wanted to try out a modded phone. I've been using CM7 for a few years now and have just plain become unhappy with what they're putting out and decided that I finally wanted my phone back to being normal and rooted. I booted into my clockworkmod(after backing up all apps/data with TitaniumBackup pro & taking pics/vids/etc off through USB) and decided to wipe my sdcard and all other options that Clockworkmod offers. After doing that I realized I made a horrible mistake...every time I go to reboot my phone, it ends up back at the boot menu and at the top it says "Fastboot Mode - No boot or recovery IMG" how would I go about resetting my phone back to a normal OS without being able to transfer stuff onto it without it being booted and having a USB option.

Everything runs fine after that, but it seems to take a long time. I am using Launcher Pro, but didn't have this problem before. The SD card icon is displayed in the status bar the whole time its locked up also.

My phone froze today and i had to remove battery to get phone to work. Also i have had three random reboots. I got my phone on launch day and this is the only problem i have had with this phone. Is this normal or should i return for a new phone.

I am experiancing a few freezing problems and bad start ups, but I am assuming these kind of surprises come with flashing different ROMs/kernals onto your phone. I noticed, however, that occasionally my screen will get really "twitchy" e.g. when I press a key on the android on screen keyboard it types the letter 4 times. or when i drag the notifications bar down half way and keep my finger still i can see the bar twitch up and down rapidly. I have heard from several review sites that twitchiness and stuttering usually have to do with the processing, which made me think of the kernal change. Does this mean i picked a bad kernal or a bad speed? If i get this twitching does it mean get a faster kernal or a slower kernal?
I am currently trying to restore my phone so I can get froyo, I have bootloader 29.01. I followed directions to flash my droid x but it says after trying to flash Failed flash process. Phone[0000]: Phone is not compatible with multi-interface super-file. I am using RSD Lite v4.7.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a galaxy s2. I tried to send compressed videos via email. Problem is they were still too large and now gmail app isn't working properly. I have done some searching and it looks like my wifi is still trying to send the vids. There are a lot as I tried different compression methods and then resending. I have since deleted the emails which were all 'sending' but still have the problem.
Is there a way for me to get things back to normal? I can't delete the account without deleting all my phones user data as well and I would really like to avoid doing this if possible.

Since yesterday my screen timeout it's not working correctly. Whatever I set it to, usually 30 seconds, whenever I go back to my home screen and back into the settings it is changing itself back to 10 minutes.
I've tried disabling tasker, lux and widgetlocker but I cannot get the timeout to stick on 30 seconds.
This is my first android device and i'm loving it... but one thing that irks me is the use, or lack thereof, of the back button.
As I am navigating menus and options in the Settings, I cannot simply go back one menu using the back key. For example, if I go to Settings->Battery Manager->Battery Profile Options and want to go back to the Settings screen, I cannot.
Pushing the back button does nothing and I can only go back to the Settings menu by going Home, then re-entering.
Another quirk regarding the back button is when reading emails. Using a regular email account such as Hotmail, I cannot simply read an email and go back to the inbox using the button.
It makes navigating the phone very tedious.
So i had it working, then i turned it off to go back to normal keyboard. but now i want to go back.
But i cant. would come back even though its reenabled,
I tried using my navigation today to get to a snake call and the it just kept giving me the message Locating GPS. Luckily I had written down some directions before I left. But after over 30 minutes of driving, it never got a GPS lock. I have been keeping the GPS on all the time now because it has been getting worse and worse. At this point, it is about useless for navigation. Any ideas? This is a function that I REALLY need and I need it to work fast and on the fly.

Battery is full...when the screen goes into standby is when it seems to have problems. Just started happening around 10:00am today. Anyone else having issues?
