I am trying to open a secure website (https) and the Moment stock browser balks. Will another browser work or is this a limitation on the phone?

pressing ok closes the application.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have been wondering over the last few days since getting an Android phone and trying to configure it to make it at least as productive as my previous smartphone. How secure is the information in a world where we put a large amount of personal info behind google-id and password? This id and pwd is plugged into the phone for functionality. We browse the Android Market for necessary apps provided by complete strangers and click Install. We click OK when caution is raised, with unknowing consequences and taking complete responsibility for the installation. Am I justified in being paranoid with Android model of doing things?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm currently having an issue where my browser shuts down when I open certain websites. In particular. androidforums.com. The strange thing is it doesn't force close. The screen just goes black momentarily, then I'm back at my home screen. It's happening on all browsers, so it's not an application issue. I've never had this issue before, and I recently installed Hydra Kernel #3 (UV/OV 1.15 w/ N). Is this something other people are experiencing in conjunction with a hydra kernel? If not, do any of you guys know what could be causing this?

I have yahoo and there is a pdf file attached to one of my emails. Whenever I try to open it from yahoo it tells me download unsuccessful.I have tried several pdf readers (the latest one being BeamReader), but they all have one thing in common for some reason, whenever I open the application I get a list of folders that are actually my music folders. What am I doing wrong and how do I open my pdf files to read on my Samsung Moment?

Does anyone else's Nuance take about 14 to 15 seconds to open? I would like to use the voice command function, but with it taking this long I end up just using the phone's interface to do what I need, such as calling someone.

I can send and recieve texts and calls, but I can't get on the Market or check my email or use apps that need the internet. My "3G" sign is not at the top by my bars.
I am new at texting and would like to know if there is a program were you can text to all phones brom you pc rather than just to your own carrier. The file is downloaded as a .rar file if it matters. This also happens when i try to download the newest kernel.

I would click on my browser icon (Google is bookmarked as my home page) the google page would load, start "acquiring my location" and then automatically shut down my browser. So I went through the Sprint help desk for several hours with no answer and no fix. I changed my home page to something other than Google and now my browser seems to work just fine. But everytime I go to the google webpage, like I'm doing a google search it shuts down the browser. Flipping weird! Another heads up. if I use my Google searchwidget, it seems to work just fine.

When I try to go to google.com or use the google search bar on the main sceen it starts to load, and before it finishes its closes the browser. It happens every time, with no forse close screen. It didn't always do this since I updated to 2.1, it just started recently. Has anyone else had this happen or perhaps knows what causes this?

View 4 Replies View RelatedAnyone else noticed having a problem answering a call when the keyboard is open? My whole system lags and the screen and keys don't respond to answering the phone call. Sometimes I can finally answer before it goes to voicemail, sometimes not. When I test it by calling myself, the phone rings for the caller 3 times before my phone starts ringing, the screen goes dark, and it finally vibrates, not rings, but the time the caller has heard 5 rings.

The call comes in, I hear the ringtone but no matter what buttons I press, the phone won't respond. I have to wait until voicemail kicks in or the call has ended.
I called Sprint technical support and they're going to send a new (I hope it's new) phone. I hate to set up the phone for the third time. Is there a fix or should I just bite the bullet and get the new? phone? Has anyone had this problem?
