May 29, 2010my moment connects just fine to my pc running xp. same OS on laptop and when i plug in i get a tone, select "mount" on phone. the phone thinks its connected but nothing on laptop (not recognized). device manager says its working properly, could this be affected by admin which i am not? any help is awesome.

Samsung Moment :: Swap Gently Used HTC SPRINT HERO For SAMSUNG MOMENT
Feb 9, 2010Here I am with 2 HTC Hero phones, with only one on an active account. I would love to try out the Samsung Moment, but don't have the $$ to just go out and buy one.My hero comes with all it had when new, plus I have an extra battery for it I will add to the deal. This hero has only been used for about a week, and while using it, it "lived" in my Blackberry Tour holster to give it maximum protection. There are no scratches or rub marks on it, never been dropped and I have reset it to Factory Specs via the SECURITY MENU and the ESN is clear and ready to be activated on your SPRINT account.Please email me at sy@rayzel.com if you are interested. With the Big promotions I tried getting the moment throught best buy 179 deal for existing customers but sprint told best buy that I wasnt at 22 months on my current contract ( which is the 500 sero plan through 8/1/2010 ) so I cant get and upgrade ( except 75 bucks off the msrp through sprint ). Jun 4, 2010My hotspot is all set up. I turn it on and I can see it from my laptop. I connect the laptop and EVO says there is 1 connection. But, the laptop connection gets no Internet access. I've tried it with and without security set up. I've rebooted. I even took the battery out and let it rest. (All of that cleared out the Error 67 on the phone but still the laptop sees no Internet.) Jul 5, 2010Has anyone here had experience with Sprints internet speed slowing down? I have 2 Samsung Moments and the internet speed was great for months. A couple weeks ago they both slowed to a crawl. I have noticed that this is in the area that I live (Chesterfield, MI) and if I am in other areas it works pretty well. As soon as I get home it is crap. No Pandora, nothing streaming works for crap, and even basic pages like Craigslist take a minute or so to load.
An internet speed test usually shows around 100 or less kb/s for downloading and 200-300 for uploading. Download speeds were at least 500 before this snafu.
Maybe a tower out or something? I thought of calling Sprints customer care, but from previous experience with real technical questions, I don't think I will get anything more than a "company" answer.

May 31, 2010anyone else having this problem? using 2.1 under caulkin's kernel. it seems like I can kind of overload the phone doing too much and the mobile network connection on my phone will disappear completely. this is while downloading something that may download too fast, sometimes it happens loading .GIF images too. May 14, 2010Try to get internet sharing up on my rickety old laptop that I use only for this purpose, its running windows 2000 and I am trying to install HTC_Sync_2.0.33. Keep getting the error message :
The operating system is not adequate for running HTC Sync.
My laptop is older but the specs are above the requirements, and according to the download info from HTC, I should be workable.

Oct 21, 2009I use my laptop to go on the internet via my HTC Hero. But it doesn't seem to be very stable, I have a good connection with a H and 3 bars. But it seems to drop the connection for no reason, my previous phone a sony ericsson would just stay connected all the time, this drops it when it likes, could be 2 min, to 2 hours before i have to reconnect then disconnect then connect.
