The operating system is not adequate for running HTC Sync.
My laptop is older but the specs are above the requirements, and according to the download info from HTC, I should be workable.

Oct 21, 2009I use my laptop to go on the internet via my HTC Hero. But it doesn't seem to be very stable, I have a good connection with a H and 3 bars. But it seems to drop the connection for no reason, my previous phone a sony ericsson would just stay connected all the time, this drops it when it likes, could be 2 min, to 2 hours before i have to reconnect then disconnect then connect.

Jun 4, 2010My hotspot is all set up. I turn it on and I can see it from my laptop. I connect the laptop and EVO says there is 1 connection. But, the laptop connection gets no Internet access. Sep 21, 2010I got an X10 mini pro. It feels great. I tried Internet access but I don't know how I get that without using my telephony operator (and being charged for every byte transferred).
I have internet connection home on my computer. I thought connecting my X10 mini pro to my computer through USB would be enough to have free internet and download from Android Market among other things. However, it doesn't work like that. I tried to activate "Airplane mode" so as to cut off al wireless connections and use USB "forcing" my X10 mini pro to look for th internet that way but it does not have internet access through USB connection with my computer (Internet works great on my computer).
