I have the fascinate and always have to power off and on to get my comcast emails to load.Called verizon 2x and was back in store with no help.I can get gmail when this is going on, but my comcast emails do not load unless i reboot the phone.

I have JT's Voodo (v.2 Ext 4 installed) on my samsung fascinate, and I tried deactivating it using the voodoo toggle app so that I could flash his super clean rom. Things appeared to go ok, but now i'm stuck on the reboot screen (have the droid peeing on apple) for an hour now. I know JT said wait it out, but I havent read about anybody having it in reboot for over an hour.I dont know what to do?

I just got a Fascinate yesterday (was a former Blackberry user) and was wondering if there was an option to delete emails from either or / both the phone and/or email? Blackberry used to have a sync option that when you selected "Delete" it asked if you wanted to:
Delete from handheld device
Delete from PC
Delete from handheld and PC
To clarify, I have a Gmail account but don't use it as my primary email, if at all. I have a personal Comcast account and a work email.
Just purchased the Fascinate, and so far seems like a great phone. One issue I am having and searching around I see others are also having this issue. Issue being that the phone is not retrieving emails (IMAP) from my servers? I have it set to five minutes and I have to manually get them. Does anyone know when there will be an update to fix this issue?
Also one other questions, when updates come out for this phone, are they automatically installed, or do I need to login in somewhere to download?
Has any one try sending photos via email with out hanging in the sending folder? It only sends them when I do a battery pull and once in a wile it will send.

View 4 Replies View Relatedmy fascinate is rooted and i attempted (foolishly) to replace the default device fonts. however, after following directions and "successfully" completing the steps, my phone rebooted and is now stuck on the samsung reboot screen. i've tried wiping all data, removing cache, removal of sd card, and rebooting and i'm still stuck on the samsung main reboot screen.is there anyway to fix this issue or at least restore my phone using terminal on a mac or command on windows? and if this is possible, would debugging have to be checked because i unchecked debugging after i rooted my phone.

I have the other CDMA based cousin, Epic 4G, and a lot of us have been experiencing an upload cap of around 200 Kbps over Sprint 3G (Lousy down/up load speed on 3G). Could any of you be kind enough to report back any speed test results that you've done? It might give us more of a clue on whether it's a Sprint issue or a general problem with Samsung's CDMA radios. We've all called Sprint and they were unaware of the issue at the time, so many of us are awaiting call backs from Sprint for updates on our support tickets.

I can not receive emails on either of my accounts without manually going into my phone and hitting "load messages". With a largely white image on screen, if you tilt the phone to the left, does it take on a pinkish hue? Also, does adding a Shortcut -> Application take insanely long to load every single time? I just want to make sure I'm not the only one experiencing this.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI recently purchased the Samsung fascinate which runs android 2.1 (eria) and found online before i bought it that the phone could support 2 exchange server emails. i have set up my first email through the setup and selected exchange as the server. now the problem arises, when i go into link up my other exchange email account i enter in the info then click automatic setup, it brings me to manual setup automatically everytime and wont allow me to select exchange as the server. it only gives me the options of imap and pop3, neither of these thus far will work and link my second email, i called my it dept and got the port numbers and all that when entering them into the imap and pop3 setup but it will not work. is there anyway around this or how do i setup to exchange server emails on this device.

When I have a lot of emails piled up in my trash folder like say 70 or more, when I hit delete all it hangs and doesn't do anything and than it forces close. What I do is delete them 10 at a time. I mean why can't I just hit delete all and be done with it?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI may just be losing it, but is there a way to reboot the Epic via key combo? i.e. to reboot the i Phone you just continue to hold power, to reboot a blackberry you do crtl + right caps + delete...but there doesn't seem to be any way to reboot the epic and it is really, really annoying. Been having this bug that Tasker is causing and I need to reboot the phone every morning, and I need to do it once I get away from my home wifi, so when I walk out of the building I have to keep fiddling with the on and off buttons while walking...long story short I would really like an easier way of doing a quick and easy reboot that doesn't require extra steps to turn the phone back on once I've turned it off.

In the middle of a call this morning, it went silent and when turned on again, it displayed "SIM card removed. Reboot phone". I took the card out and put back in 3 times, but it still happens. Wi-Fi is working, phone is still running apps. I tried to press the SIM card tightly while trying to connect, but it's no good. A quick Google search does not show many people with this problem. So this thing just started within the past week. My phone's stock gmail app will show new emails so I look at them and then they are all read, showing 0 new.But when I login to the web browser version, 5 minutes or even later(up to hours later), the web browser gmail is not updating to show that I already read the emails.I'm on JH2. So maybe it is a bug with the firmware?Or maybe a setting got changed but I'm not seeing how to handle the issue.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a rooted behold 2 [stock] and when I push libwebcore.so into system/lib , the phone hangs after I reboot. I have tried it with a couple of different libwebcore.so files [one from android 1.5 and 2.1] with the same outcome. It sounds like the system is checking for corrupt files or so when it boots and doesn't go any further if its numbers don't match up. Any ideas ?
The reason I'm trying to do this is that i want to be able to read arabic properly on webpages. I have already installed the arabic font [thanks to BH_Man] and all the characters are displayed. However, the browser renders the order of the letters backward [from left to right instead of the opposite].
I set up my emails (all gmail accounts) with the Galaxy S and told it to check every 5 minutes.I get tones indicating that a mail has arrived, but when I check the email accounts, there are no mails there.I have to select each (of 4) accounts individually to figure out which one received mail.Kind of, well "very", annoying. View 1 Replies View RelatedI cannot find a way of loading the album art along with the music onto my phone. I use media player and everything in there has the correct album are associated with it. I tried syncing with my galaxy and the music went accross but the art did not. Then i tried the same with the Kies software. I updated the information so the album art was showing and transfered it accross and again the same thing happed, music but no art. I have also tried using Windows explorer with the same result.

Now, i cannot load any apps onto the phone because it says "not enough memory". Checking the memory settings shows 0 Maximum, 0 available. I've done a factory reset, i've reflashed the rom twice, still no memory.
