When at home I'm constantly on wifi and couldn't understand why I couldn't see the attachments on received MMS.
Mystery solved, you have to be on 3 or 4G for these to work

I am facing a weird problem, I am not able to download any attachments from Gmail on my Galaxy s. also sometimes i am not able to even preview the files.
Error: An SD card is required to download attachments.
However I have a working SD card in the phone. This problem is coming after i have upgraded the firmware using official Kies software.Mav
Anyone have a problem not being able to see received picture mail?? people send me a photo and sometimes it just makes a received text sound and i see nothing, or i see the image in the little bubble i click it and then it disappears as if i never got it. i can send picture mail just fine and it shows up on both ends as sent/received on friends phone. however when they send one it barely ever shows me

I have Documents to Go full version but the phone won't even download the file.
I have been trying to send a picture from my Gallery, via Gmail. I just click on the "share" button, then select Gmail.
However, I've sent it over 10 times for the past two days, to two of my email accounts. I've also tried sending another pic.but nothing. When the Gmail app thing opens, everything seems ok, and I fill in all the info and hit send. But nothing is being sent.
So the Samsung spec page says that WMA files are supported, but I don't seem to be able to play them. Am I doing something wrong??
View 2 Replies View RelatedWhen I try to apply the update in the system recovery screen i go to apply sdcard:update.zip and push the home capacitive button. It brings up a progress bar and about halfway through it gives me an error. Im assuming I accidentily deleted this BuddiesNow file after I rooted the phone. I tried hard reset and factory reset but neither of these fixed it. Is there a way to download or install this BuddiesNow.odex? I didn't back up the file.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI am unable to check my gmail nor download anything on the market. I am constantly having to turn my phone off and back on to get these working. Sometimes 5+ times a day. I have all of the sync options turned on and my phone still struggles to sync my gmail. This is getting quite frustrating. Anyone else having the same issues? I know a lot of people have talked about the market issues, but I haven't heard anything about anyone else having the same problems with their gmail.
View 2 Replies View RelatedSo when I am on the call screen, and want to hang up or pull the key pad to enter some numbers, sometimes it takes about 3 seconds for the screen to become responsive and those buttons to become press-able. I say 'sometimes' because many a times it just works outright and I can lower the phone from my face and tap the end call button and it works. But other times it can create situations where I want to hang up the phone immediately but cant. Does it happen with anyone else?? One reason for this could be bad proximity sensor, but if screen can light up on taking the phone away from ear, it means proximity sensor is working fine. Any solutions?
View 13 Replies View RelatedWhen in the messaging app, and in text message conversations I am having many issues. 1st issue: conversations or "threads" as it is put are seperated, which I like this option, but it also makes it an issue. I am unable to forward any messages I receive.
attachments in messages are not accessable, or able to be saved. I can not save photos, video, music, files ect. I can not set any attachments as ringtones, screen savers, backgrounds. And I can not forward any of the information that is included in a text. I have become very frustrated with the Droid, I thought this was a great phone but seems for the pricetag and hype, I am unable to do less with it as simple functions that I had on my previous phone the LG Chocolate. I can not save anything I receive, and I also can not send any of my music files or recordings as an attachment.
I may not have this whole Droid thing figured out, but I dont want it to take me a month to figure it out. And it seems like I am going past my "Worry Free" period of time. I was unable to save many of my items from old phone to Droid, and that was a bother. But the text messaging is my biggest complaint, I liked the ability to save sounds, forwards sounds photos ect. And I can not do this now with the Droid, is there a way to fix this issue?
My friend and I have HTC Hero phones. I am with Sprint, she is with Cellular South (a carrier here in south Mississippi). We are both unable to see pictures sent to us as part of an email (like pictures in a joke). And she is unable to open pictures as email attachments in her Yahoo acct. We have played with settings and Goggled this problem, to no avail. nothing works.

From within my exchange account, the forwarded message is delivered with my typed text, none of the quoted text, and an error file instead of the attachment: A_POLICY_VIOLATED_FILE_WAS_DETECTED_AND_REMOVED.TX T.
This happens regardless of what type of email account I forward the message to--google account or exchange.
If I forward a message with an attachment from my google account, it includes my text and quoted text at least, but not the attachment.
If I can't forward attachments, ok--but I don't get the policy violated file thing. I should note that this occurs in TouchDown and in the native android 2.0 mail application.
I obviously didn't look hard enough. I was able to successfully forward in TouchDown by downloading the attachments first. The quoted text and the full attachments then went just fine.
Using Handscent. (However, have same problem with the supplied "Message" app). I get the texts fine....but he photos attached won't download. I get a notification that the "Message was not downloaded"...under that it says: "Generic Network Failure". I've seen a number of posts on various forums about this...but can't find a fix. Predictably, Sprint's suggestion is to do a hard reset. (They act as if that's no big deal...seems to me that it will take a long time to get my device put back together the way it is). BTW: Have tried to access texts via 3g rather than Wi-Fi, etc. Lately, it has been one thing after the other with the EVO.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have used the stock sms, Chomp sms, and handcent sms and they all seem to have the same problem. I can send a pic through them, but when the person responds to the text, its says download, I press that and its unable to DL it says. My friend sent a pic twice on handcent, the same one, and it came through the second time only. Sometimes no pic will work at all. With hancent it resizes automatic, thats great, but still the same issue. Man I love everything about this phone but this is really annoying.

View 10 Replies View RelatedMy phone is telling me that I have low space, but according to my computer, I have well over 3GB on my SD, which leads me to believe that text messages and applications are stored in another part on the phone or on some server. Is there a way to transfer any of these to the SD card or send them to a Gmail account? I can't even read text messages that I already received because of this and I've deleted well over 100 text messages and still can't read them.

I'm pretty sure my home screen would do landscape with keyboard closed the first couple of days I had the phone and now it wont do it unless the keyboard is out. Anyone else have the same issue?

A phone that I actually have been waiting for ever since the IPhone came out because I knew the technology would be where I wanted it to be for the most part (speed, HD, capacity, upgrade ability/customization.
