Samsung Epic 4G : Unable To Play WMA Files
Sep 25, 2010So the Samsung spec page says that WMA files are supported, but I don't seem to be able to play them. Am I doing something wrong??

Samsung Epic 4G :: Cannot Play Avi Files On Phone
Sep 14, 2010I have not been able to play avi files that I copied from my canon digital camera on my epic. Finally found a free video player called arcMedia which plays avi files, but the video quality is completely messed up. I read about Handbrake software using which we can convert avi files into mp4 files. But I have a huge collection of avi files and d not want to be converting every single avi file so I can play it on my epic. I also tried finding Rockplayer in android marketplace, but could not find it from my epic phone.

I can't stream aac or aac+ when on the cell network, only when on wifi. This is not a bandwidth issue. On Cherry player, for example, it almost immediately goes to a stopped state, before making any real attempt to connect or buffer--long before any timeout that is.
Anyone else experience this?

Oct 7, 2010Question: has anyone here been able to play music via USB connection in their car?
If so, then list your car brand and model. How did you do it? Are the songs all MP3? from Itunes? Are the songs in any particular folder on the microSD card?
Me: 2010 Prius NAVI...the car audio can only read 3 songs out of many (all from Itunes). I do have 2 songs from Amazon MP3, but they are not read either. The same 3 songs over and over again. My phone is in "mass storage" mode.
Samsung Epic 4G :: Unable To Send Pics
Oct 14, 2010I have been trying to send a picture from my Gallery, via Gmail. I just click on the "share" button, then select Gmail.
However, I've sent it over 10 times for the past two days, to two of my email accounts. I've also tried sending another pic.but nothing. When the Gmail app thing opens, everything seems ok, and I fill in all the info and hit send. But nothing is being sent.

Sep 5, 2010Anyone else having issues with the epic extracting zip files? Whenever I download a zip file it always tells me the archive is corrupted...doesn't matter what app I use to view it...tried using Astro and a free zip viewer app but the archives are incomplete...and when I try to send it to my pc to open it I get the same problem.
Guessing the browser is downloading zip files incorrectly?
Samsung EPIC 4G :: Why Do Pictures Display In Camera Play
Sep 7, 2010When in the camera and you hit the play button to review pictures, all pictures on the phone come up instead of just the ones i've taken with my camera. Is there a setting to change for this? Do i need to move my photos to a specific folder to avoid this? Right now i have all my pictures in the "media" folder. The camera pictures are in the DCIM folder. So how can this be changed?

Oct 6, 2010When I try to apply the update in the system recovery screen i go to apply sdcard:update.zip and push the home capacitive button. It brings up a progress bar and about halfway through it gives me an error. Im assuming I accidentily deleted this BuddiesNow file after I rooted the phone. I tried hard reset and factory reset but neither of these fixed it. Is there a way to download or install this BuddiesNow.odex? I didn't back up the file.

Sep 30, 2010I am attempting to connect my laptop to the Epic Hotspot. My laptop is able to find SPH-D70002E (Epic) on my laptop's WiFi available network list. When I click on that, I get a Window's error message: "Windows is unable to connect to the selected network. The network may no longer be in range. Please refers the list of available networks and try to connect again." The SPH-D70002E (Epic) is full bars strength.

Nov 17, 2010I am unable to check my gmail nor download anything on the market. I am constantly having to turn my phone off and back on to get these working. Sometimes 5+ times a day. Oct 25, 2010So when I am on the call screen, and want to hang up or pull the key pad to enter some numbers, sometimes it takes about 3 seconds for the screen to become responsive and those buttons to become press-able. I say 'sometimes' because many a times it just works outright and I can lower the phone from my face and tap the end call button and it works. But other times it can create situations where I want to hang up the phone immediately but cant. Does it happen with anyone else?? One reason for this could be bad proximity sensor, but if screen can light up on taking the phone away from ear, it means proximity sensor is working fine. Any solutions?

Sep 15, 2010I have an Epic 4G through Sprint.I am a DJ and I like to listen to other DJ's mixes that are hosted online. I guess they are kinda like podcasts but only audio. An example is a site called PodOMatic. Another is called Soundcloud and another is Mixcrate.com.If I follow a DJ's link to their upload on my PC, I can listen to the full mix. Sometimes I will even download the mix and listen to the mp3 file on a mp3 player or something.Now, If I follow a link on my phone, I can not listen. The player (java? flash?) will not even show. Soundcloud is the only site that seems to work, but I only get to listen to a couple minutes of the song.Is there a way to stream these types of files through my phone? Can I download the files to my phone, then listen later? Surely there is an app for this?
