I am facing a weird problem, I am not able to download any attachments from Gmail on my Galaxy s. also sometimes i am not able to even preview the files.
Error: An SD card is required to download attachments.
However I have a working SD card in the phone. This problem is coming after i have upgraded the firmware using official Kies software.Mav

i have read a few threads about getting a message that they can't download them but i'm getting a "preview" button.i press it and am able to view the attachment but can't(don't know how) to download it to my sd.?

View 6 Replies View Relatedall the customization Android allows Google didn't create a Gmail App that makes it impossible to save attachments to your SD card/internal memory. I have tried searching around here and it seems the EVO folks are stuck as well. Would Google really stop us from doing something so essential? And I know you can in HTC Mail, but I have notification issues with HTC Mail that I can't deal with (like the notification sound continuing perpetually when a new email arrives).
View 4 Replies View RelatedI am unable to check my gmail nor download anything on the market. I am constantly having to turn my phone off and back on to get these working. Sometimes 5+ times a day. I have all of the sync options turned on and my phone still struggles to sync my gmail. This is getting quite frustrating. Anyone else having the same issues? I know a lot of people have talked about the market issues, but I haven't heard anything about anyone else having the same problems with their gmail.

View 1 Replies View RelatedMy wife recently got a SGS and we have just tried to download Kies so that she can put some music etc on it (she has a 16GB microsd card in it). However, when we try and install Kies it gets to the installation phase and then at the stage where it prompts you what to install, I selected "instal all" and then it thinks about it and comes back a minute later with a message "unable to connect to file server".Is this a common problem people have had? We are running Windows 7 64 bit, so I dont know if there is a compatability issue? If we cant get Kies to download (and I called their support line and of course no-one answers) is there another way to get data onto the phone and external card? Will I need to buy some kind of adaptor so that I can connect the microsd card and just treat it as any external hard drive?

I have disabled Localization for Google apps and ads and yet when I go into the Store, I keep on getting the message.So after several failed tries, I used App2SD and extracted the .apk into my phone but It wont download showing that it wont find enough resources.
Installed a new firmware but forgot to do a backup. Been able to download all my apps again from the market, but when I try to download anything from the Samsung apps folder ( 8 items ), I get the message ' Network unavailable '.

when receiving pictures through gmail (I simply use the gmail app) they don't automatically appear in the email, like it does on my girlfriends Captivate through the gmail app. She didn't do anything special, just set up email and when she receives pics when she opens the email they're just there. Now there is the download and preview button next to the attachments but when I hit those my phone just says "fetching attachment, please wait". I've left my phone for at least 5 minutes and it will just sit on that screen. On one pic I did let it sit for a few minutes, gave up waiting, but noticed the pic later in my dowloaded folder. But this is the only pic it's done that with. So I would a way to get the pics to just show up in my email when I open the email, or not have to wait minutes on end for a pic to maybe get downloaded. I feel like there should be some solution without me having to download some app, since my girl's phone can do it.

Sometimes it seems like the attachment downloads with it comes thru MMS because it will say "Downloading" after touching the bubble but when it appears to be done, I can't find it anywhere. View 2 Replies View RelatedI am unable to download any application from samsung apps, when I open samsung apps it shows all software and all navigation works well but when I try to download anything the waiting circle comes and it stuck at waiting circle forever and then I have to exit samsung apps.
I tried uninstalling samsung apps by root uninstaller and then installing it back again from apk , I tried clear data/cache many times, I tried updating samsung apps too.Although google play is working fine.

I have a problem with gmail Or rather with the app. I noticed I hadn't got emails I was expecting so checked on the PC and there they were. Run a few tests and basically, my gmail app shows unread emails in the counter, but hasn't updated the actual email list for at least a day Thinking about it, it may not have worked since I updated the firmware on Sunday.Any ideas anyone? View 7 Replies View RelatedWhen in the messaging app, and in text message conversations I am having many issues. 1st issue: conversations or "threads" as it is put are seperated, which I like this option, but it also makes it an issue. I am unable to forward any messages I receive.
attachments in messages are not accessable, or able to be saved. I can not save photos, video, music, files ect. I can not set any attachments as ringtones, screen savers, backgrounds. And I can not forward any of the information that is included in a text. I have become very frustrated with the Droid, I thought this was a great phone but seems for the pricetag and hype, I am unable to do less with it as simple functions that I had on my previous phone the LG Chocolate. I can not save anything I receive, and I also can not send any of my music files or recordings as an attachment.
I may not have this whole Droid thing figured out, but I dont want it to take me a month to figure it out. And it seems like I am going past my "Worry Free" period of time. I was unable to save many of my items from old phone to Droid, and that was a bother. But the text messaging is my biggest complaint, I liked the ability to save sounds, forwards sounds photos ect. And I can not do this now with the Droid, is there a way to fix this issue?
My friend and I have HTC Hero phones. I am with Sprint, she is with Cellular South (a carrier here in south Mississippi). We are both unable to see pictures sent to us as part of an email (like pictures in a joke). And she is unable to open pictures as email attachments in her Yahoo acct. We have played with settings and Goggled this problem, to no avail. nothing works.

Whenever my wife emails me a picture of our dogs (no kids so these are our kids) it always comes through as "photo" so when I download it saves as that. Now if I don't go back into the picture viewer and rename it the next time i try to save a photo attachment it tries to overwrite the last one as its comes in as "photo". Is there any easier way of renaming these attachment without having to go into picture viewer and renaming the last one first? Basically I'm want to do a "save as"
