Nov 20, 2010My Epic came with GOOGLE NAV(not maps) installed, the little blue triangle. My friend would like to install it on his droid, but I'm not sure where I can get it.

Dec 2, 2010How I can get the Google search bar back on my home screen? Somehow it ended up on a side screen, and I dragged it into the red trash area, and I can't figure out how to get it back.... couldn't find it in the widgets or shortcuts.

Sep 10, 2010It seems like the directions for clearing the calendar cache and other tips don't work for the epic. I have five calendars on my Google Calendar : Personal, School, Finance, Work and Tasks. I am only getting Personal and Finance on my Epic for some reason. I am not sure why this occurred but I have not figured out a solution and its getting very frustrating since I bought an Android phone almost specifically for the easy google calendar integration. Any ideas for correcting this solely for the Epic?

Oct 1, 2010I'm pretty sure this was not the case on my Blackberry. On My Samsung Epic, I have to save my Google voice messages before I can play them. No way to play them over the web without saving them? I'm on 2.1 with a recent Dolphin browser.

Sep 7, 2010When I go into my contacts, I have a crap load of random contacts. I go into my contacts and click on groups, and click on Google, and I have 152 "Not assigned" contacts. People I may have just emailed once or do not need them in my phone. Is there anyway to delete these contacts from here?

Sep 9, 2010Per the title, there are new versions of Maps and Street View in the market. The Maps update is just to add walking directions I think and the street view was a more polished update. Street view doesn't work after install, at least on my Epic. I open maps, pick a road and long-click on it. A balloon pops up saying "Loading address" for about 30 seconds then give me a pop-up error that says "Data Connection Lost, Retrying" But, data is working just fine on the phone everywhere else. Try rebooting the phone after install, it helped. Still some errors but much better than before. It is awesome when it works. Try compass mode.

One thing that drove my wife nuts when we were checking out the phone is that every time she hit the Home key, that Google search box was right there on the main screen staring at her. Sep 22, 2010I have a Droid, and my friend just got a Samsung Epic, so I am trying to show him things.He has a google account (not a gmail account, not a google apps - a Google account with his own email address). He wants to sync his contacts and calendar.On my Droid, I go to accounts & sync > add account > Google > enter my address and password.i get offered to sync Calendar and/or Contacts, by clicking on the check box.On his Epic, he adds the account, but there are no options, no check boxes! Is this different somehow? It works fine with his gmail, but not his generic Google account. On my Droid it all works fine and everything is in sync.

Sep 9, 2010Has anyone figured out how to do this? When I hold my finger on a text and choose forward, I only get the box where I have to type in each contact individually. Is there a way to show a list of my contacts when forwarding or at least a way to forward to a group? I have groups set up, but there doesnt seem to be a way to access them when forwarding. I have tried every option and every menu and cant find out how to do this on the Epic?
