Looking for a simple data toggle I can put on the home screen to turn data on/off with one press. I don't need multiple button for BT, WiFi, Gps because of the touchwiz drop down. Anyone using one with any kind of luck?

I was searching online to see how to make a shortcut to toggle the 3G connection on and off without having to sift through multiple menus. I came across the method of having a long press on the power lock button to pull up the menu but mine does not show the network data on/off option and never has. It only shows
* Silent mode
* Airplane mode
* Power off
* Restart
Nothing else. Is there a way I can make a shortcut or some other way to ADD the network data on/off on this pull up menu from the power lock button? By the way why would my phone not have this option from the start when the phone came with Gingerbread and was updated to ICS 4.0.4? I have Sprint so they call this the Epic 4G Touch, so not sure if it was Sprint that buggered this from the other SGS2s that have this feature or not.
I'm pretty sure my home screen would do landscape with keyboard closed the first couple of days I had the phone and now it wont do it unless the keyboard is out. Anyone else have the same issue?

And why is it showing up? I haven't noticed this until today--I now have to choose one when I press on the home button.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI've had my Epic for about a week and have noticed that from time to time that the screen flashes VERY briefly to the home screen/lock screen when inside an app.
It happens when I'm in the browser, email app, etc. There does not seem to be any rhyme or reason behind it.
I looked at SwitchPro and there's this: [APP] 4G Toggle Widget v1.2 (6/18) - w/Sense disabled + SOURCE - xda-developers but neither currently supports the Epic. Any other solutions?

Then when I close the keyboard it goes back to portrait even when I'm holding the phone in landscape. Not sure how to fix this, help please.

For example; since I am new to Swype, I decided to take the tutorial and each time I would click (or even tried to slide) the next button, it wouldn't respond took about 5-7 tries.While on the phone with tech/and CS yesterday (for whole diff issue), I asked about the Capacitive Button Sensitivity - as mine wasn't working that well either (as others have mentioned). Tech had me remove the battery for 2 full minutes, and put back in - and now the Capacitive Buttons works perfectly.Anyone else having partial screen/certain buttons not responding to commands? I guess I could try removing the battery again, but I am not sure that will fix it.

The "wall paper" is easily to update. I currently have my phone set to vibrate (menu>settings>sound & display>sound profiles), but emails, texts, and gchats aren't vibrating when they arrive.I bought Quick Profiles and put the widget on my home screen. I made silent and vibrate profiles, but I don't see where I can customize what vibrates and what doesn't other than the phone ringer.Anyway, with the phone profile on vibrate and the Quick Profile profile on vibrate, I'm still not vibrating.

View 16 Replies View RelatedWhenever I am using any app and press the home button, the home screen blacks out for a few secs and it takes around 10 sec to get all the icons back and before I can start using my phone again. I am using a non rooted mytouch 3g.
This problem does not happen if I exit an app by pressing the back button. It becomes very annoying at times.
I just installed lock 2.0 and i was just adjusting the settings and now every time I'm in my phone and i touch the "Home" button it locks my phone instead of taking me back to my home screen! Is this normal? Did I accidental do it in the settings? HELP its driving me crazy

This only happens when running certain apps, specifically Facebook and jetflicks (and some others that I can't name off the top of my head) but when I press the home button it goes to the last screen of my home setup. I run stock froyo and sense, and I keep up with as many updates as possible. Is there a patch for this that anyone knows of?

Then today it did it when I set it down on a table, and when I turned it back on the battery went from 42 to 12 percent. I then reset the phone and it was at 24 percent. Is anyone else having this problem? Could the battery just be losing contact?
