Samsung Captivate :: USB Debugging Stuck On
Jul 18, 2010I rooted and side loaded my phone today. I go to turn of USB Debugging and the green check will go away as soon as the leave the screen it turns back on.

Samsung Captivate :: Computer Not Recognizing USB Debugging
Aug 31, 2010Alright, I've searched for a while and tried to find the reason why this is happening.I have uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers several times.On the first connect after the install, it seems like the computer sees the phone but then it disappears.My phone connects just fine without USB Debugging enabled, but it simply won't work when it is enabled.

Nov 20, 2010I'm using eclipse 3.6 (It was the only download i could find couldn't find 3.5).When i run SDK Manager.exe I see that I have USB Driver Packer, Revision 3 installed.I Set my phone to enable USB Debugging and I plug in my phone to my computer's USB jack.At this point, I do not see the device in eclipse debug configuration. Should I? Am I missing something?

Aug 9, 2010Everyone knows that At&t is probably the worst major carrier in the US to be on if you want an Android device. So there has to be a reason you are praying Samsung announces the issues with the Captivate are fixable, or you would have jumped ship by now to have dozens of choices at the other carriers. For me, my wife just got her first ever iPhone and she refuses to try anything else. She's a big fan of the "Sims" type of games and Android doesn't have many of those games in the Market yet. It doesn't make sense money wise to have us on different carriers. So I'm stuck with At&t and a Captivate that I wish could perfrom to it's potential. Anybody else in a similar situation? Maybe it's spouses, kids, or even work related?

My Samsung note 3 Sm-N9006 was already rooted when I bought it, though it doesnt have CWM/TWRP and SuperSu. However, all rooted apps are working. So I really want to change the phone's font so I downloaded Font installer *root*, because no font style is available in the settings. However, after I installed a font from the app, it prompted me to reboot my system, I clicked it and when it boots, its already stuck on the samsung logo.
Whenever I use the button combination vol down + power + home, it just opens normally; when volume up + Volume down + power / Volume up + power + home / Volume up + power, this is what is shown,,,
Select boot mode:
[VOLUME_UP to select. VOLUME_DOWN is OK.]
[recovery mode]
[fastboot mode]
[normal mode]
volume up moves between these options, volume down doesn't do anything, nor power button neither home button
so i can't choose from them.

Sep 6, 2010I was rebooting my phone today and it every time I try it gets stuck on The Galaxy S logo with the big flashing "S" on the screen. It acts like it is going to boot up but just after the ATT screen and the boot sound it gets stuck. I did the one-click-lag-fix about 2 weeks ago and the phone has been running smooth ever since. My wife and daughter are on the road so not having a phone really stinks right now.

I removed GoogleTalk which seems to be the route of the issue and now I can't seem to get it back. Nov 27, 2010I put Cognition on my phone today, and made a backup image of the stock 2.1 before putting Cognition on. I decided I want to go back to the Stock, so I clicked the "manage backups" part of Clockwork, and "recover" on the image I saved. Next, the phone rebooted, and looked like it was installing the backup image, and rebooted again. However, it will not go past the White AT&T screen. Is my only option to use Odin to give it a factory reset? Or is there an easier way for me to do this?

Oct 27, 2010I was running the JI6 2.2 with cognition beta5.5 and was attempting to update however I needed to swap kernels since the current kernel didn't verify signatures. I was using vmware on a mac and i started it but then continued to use the mac side however the computer disconnected the phone from the windows side and now it is stuck showing an image of a phone next to a computer with a triangle with a ! in it between the two. Pressing all hardware buttons does nothing but black the screen and go back to the same screen. I've taken out the battery, sim, unplugged the cord, everything. Can't get back into download mode to redo the kernal swap. It's definitely connected to a valid, and working, usb port and i am now on windows itself instead of vmware. What do I do?

Oct 18, 2010I've got a Galaxy S Vibrant. I've got the USB in debugging mode, I've got super-user rights. When I mount the Vibrant to my Desktop while it's booted in Ubuntu, it detects it off the bat and works fine. When I mount the Vibrant to my Dekstop while it's booted in Windows, it doesn't detect it.
Vibrant won't connect to a windows 7 x32 desktop via usb, but connects to Ubuntu just fine. The desktop has no network connection. I need to move some files, but I don't have a USB drive and it doesn't have a CD drive. It's rather barebones. So, I was hoping to use my phone.

Jul 27, 2010I have PDANet app on my phone, and I have PDANet installed on the laptop also. My PDAnet on my laptop keeps telling me to make sure USB debugging is enabled on my vibrant, which it is. It keeps telling me that over and over, it won't connect. I think the problem is drivers, not USB debugging. The strange thing is, since I got my vibrant, I just plugged it into my 2 laptops, and it recognized fine, the SD cards on the phone were easy accessible.
Now I plug in vibrant into my computer, it finds the phone, shows the sd cards as f drive and g drive, but when I try to go to the SD card via USB connection, it is ghosted out, as if nothing is there. Something strange is going on. Maybe I need drivers, according to some sites, but it worked fine before without any drivers, it acted as universal plug and play. Got my laptop to mount and recognize the phone, but PDANet still doesn't seem to recognize the phone/drivers.

Feb 18, 2014Problem: When pressing the power button to turn phone on, there is no samsung boot logo. the only thing that shows up is a black screen, [the backlight] it will stay that way until the battery dies.
i know it's not a problem with the display because i can get to the recovery screen by pressing the three buttons. i tried numerous wipes and factory resets, even tried to reboot from there. but it still wont boot up, it only ends up with that black screen. Also the green battery shows which further indicates that it's not a display problem.

That's basically all i know about this phone, i know it's a clone because on the hardware differences under the hood compared to the real S4. [it's probably a legend or a superking since it's from korea i think] im not sure which operating system it runs, from the looks of it i dont think it has one.
Some things i've tried: i downloaded android SDK, MTK droid tools, SP FLash tools, for some reason, i keep getting error 8200 in sp flash tools and mtk droid tools doesn't detect my phone. I tried flash updating firmware with adb sideload, it always ends up with an error ''aborted''. i can't enable usb debugging since the phone wont turn on.
