im not rooted and want to run my home computer wired i don't have a wireless card ? im tiring pda.net and seems to work OK by freezes sometimes i think .also i have a droid x if that makes a difference .

I just got my EVO and so far, I love it. I have a question about Tethering. It says that Sprint will charge $30/month for using this feature, yet I see it available in the system settings. So if I turn it on, i'll start getting charged, or will it simply not work? (either wired or wireless).

I heard about usb (wired) tethering but haven't been able to find any tutorials on it. View 2 Replies View RelatedDoes anybody know any good wired headset with mic? I had the Motorola EH25 Stereo Earset And i liked it before it broke in 2 months. And i want to get an new one. But i want something that will last me longer then that. Even though i didn't lose any money on those because i bought it from overstock with warranty and they ended gaving me the full refund with the price of product and the warranty price back . I am not big fan of blue tooth headsets because first you have to turn on the bluetooth on your phone and then pair it and also then u have to charge your bluetooth end of the day. In the end its too much of an hassle. Besides the quality of the sound through wired headsets are much better then the bluetooth from what i have experienced. Any advice for good wired headsets(w mic). I will be using it for mostly phone calls and not that much music.

It does vibrate, but when Im in the car, I miss calls. Unplugging the headset just makes one more thing for me to worry about while driving when getting calls. Does anyone know how to make the phone ring normally through the speaker with a wired headset plugged in.

View 23 Replies View RelatedSo I loaded the new release of froyo petes v.04 and earlier when trying to use the built in wired tether option it defaults to a web-page about upgrading to a tethering plan. It says that they are offering it for $5 off until july 15th. Wireless tether still works fine but just wanted to know if anybody else got this message when using the built in program on the new froyo release. I was able to use this option in the earlier versions of froyo without the message. Update, so I completely missed this already reported on phandroid so I guess I was just getting the message others have already reported.

Running Fab's NexTheme ROM that has Wired and Wireless Tether. Problem is Wired Tether doesn't work for me. The program runs without a problem, but my laptop that is connected to the Droid via USB cable doesn't access the Internet. Drivers and what not are all updated - just curious to know what the problem is. Funny thing is that when connected via USB normally, my laptop recognizes my Droid with no problem. It's only when I run the Wired Tether program that all of a sudden my laptop no longer recognizes my phone and, as a result, won't access the Internet.

Didn't see many threads mentioning this app for root users. It looks pretty robust and pulling about 2gbs and 400kb up. Will update post with any problems or other remarks. Anyone else using this?
