Up until now I have been able to open attachments with no problem but now I cant seem to be able to open any. I get the email and the paper clip is there but I cant do anything with it. No long press, or tap, or double tap or anything. Its just not opening anything. Done battery pull but still a no go.

I tried e-mailing the video to myself, but when I try to download it from Gmail, it says "unable to fetch attachment" How can I send video to someone else? Is there a way to change the extension?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have exchange set up on my Droid through the email program that comes with the phone.. Its been working fine until this weekend, really. 3 separate times, it's failed to load my inbox or sync new messages, and it pops up with the unable to open connection to server message.Ive quadruple checked all of my settings, removed my account, re-added my account, refreshed it, and still, it wont sync my inbox and it still shows that message. I even tried installing touchdown, and touchdown wouldnt sync my email either? I didnt like how it kept my contacts all separate from my gmail contacts, so I went ahead and uninstalled it. I REALLY just want to use the regular exchange email program..But get this, I am able to sync my sent mail though, and Im able to SEND email messages, just not receive them.
We have our own exchange server for our company, and we have 4 other people in our office running exchange on their phones, (2 Motorola Droids, 1 Droid X, and an HTC 6800...) Nobody else is having issues with their phones syncing their email so I know this isnt an exchange issue, but a phone issue instead.Ive run an update (just the *228) on my phone, reset it like 3 times, killed all the apps, and it still wont sync my inbox (just my sent mail..) And again, it'll send email but wont receive it.I know calling or going into a verizon store will be a waste of time.

View 4 Replies View Related"Unable to open connection to server." That's the message I'm getting from my Droid every time I try to set up a connection to my web hosts SMTP server using IMAP. The settings I put in the Droid work fine on my laptop and on my blackberry.
I've tries using ports 25, 1025, 465 and 587. I even tried 143 and 585. Anyone have any clue why this is happening? Anyone else having trouble with SMTP/IMAP connections to their email server? Right now I can't send emails from the Droid and that's a HUGE problem.
My company's exchange server is similar to mail.company.com/exchange, but when I put in that address, it removes the "/exchange" and it gives me an error saying "Unable to open connection to server". Is there a way around this, or am I stuck without the ability to sync my work email?

I have moved those files to my computer and put the bugless beast nandroid files in their place. The problem is when I go to Droidroothelper and select reboot/recovery my phone reboots and the /! comes up on my screen and a line on the bottom says E: can't open /cache/recovery/command......
any tips I dont know what to do to load the nandroid backup of the bugless beast.

Prior to that I would try to open attachments and would get the mesage that retrieving file and nothing would ever happen. I also had to reset my login for Facebook. I haven't noticed anything else yet. On another note, a coworker just got the HTC with 1.5 Android. He also likes the software but once he saw a few of the features that the 2.0.1 software has he wants an upgreade.

Whenever I'm on a web page and try to click a link, i get error message saying I've reached maximum number of pages open. But there will only be 1 open doesn't make sense. Box is checked to open new pages in background. I've tried all sorts to no avail.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI'm new to all this wifi stuff. I have no problems connecting my Desire to my wifi at home, which is great. But at work (or at least in the vicinity of my office) there is an open wifi point. I have now tried on several occasions to connect to it, but it always fails. It gets as far as trying to get the IP address then nothing happens until the connection fails. Then it starts trying to connect again, but it gets stuck every time on getting the IP address.This would not concern me if it weren't for the fact that other work colleagues (one of whom also has a Desire) have managed to connect without a problem. I've moved over to where those people work, in case it was a pure location thing, but still no success.Is there something obvious that I've missed on this? Or anything that I could try? Obviously I'd like not to have to use my data allowance while at work if at all possible.
View 49 Replies View RelatedNo matter what I do I am unable to open a file, either in my app's data directory or on the sdcard and also in a folder on the sdcard. To test I placed a test.txt file in all three directories.When I do listfiles, I get the correct list of files set in an array. I've even tried getting the list and filtering out a specific file and try opening it that way and just trying the first item in the array. Is there some security that may be set that is making it so I cant open files? This is not the emulator, it is on a device.
