Trying to pair Droid with PC to use Bluetooth File Transfer app and having helluva time. sometimes I get it paired and then PC refuses connectiong when I try to access computer from Droid. Is there a default pairing code for Droid or can I use the 'no code' option?

I have the original jawbone & having a hard time pairing with new droid x. it worked fine with my touch pro2. i would press the noise assassin & talk but only the white light comes on.

My problem is that I have to go through a few menus to connect the paired devises every time I get in the car. Is there a way to have the Droid automatically connect to this device, or is there a widget that can help make this process easier?

Is there any way to either do something to the bluetooth or change the eris's sense ui so that it can pair with a wiimote, or are there any other bluetooth or USB keyboards or game controller that can for sure work with the eris?
Also, what is the best music player app? All I want is one that has an equalizer that works. Every time I hit the eq button on mixing it say that "the eq doesnt support this file type" and all my music is MP3 wtf. And does anyone know if theres any way that verizon will exchange a "broken" eris for an incredible?
I am new to this forum and just got my Eris today and yes the battery is almost dead. I paired the phone with my car today (a Prius) and it worked fine. However, for the life of me, I couldn't figure out how to unpair the BT. With my old phone, the BT would shut itself off after the car was off and I would walk a few yards away. I couldn't figure out how to shut it off. I have learned a lot from all of you over the last few days.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI was following the instructions on "How to: Return DROID X Back to Android 2.1 to go from 2.2 leak, to stock 2.1 so I can get the OTA 2.2 update. I've never rooted and after RSD did several things, it gave an error something like "Error sending RAM download for bootloader..." (there was more to it than that, but I don't have it on my screen anymore). After trying several things, my phone now comes on to the bootloader, but says "Code Corrupt" then "Battery Low" and "Cannot Program" flash on individual lines below. I plugged it into an outlet for nearly two hours and I'm still getting the same thing.Anyone seen this if so how do I get beyond it? One thing I read said that he just checked "ODM_Serial" under Config>Flash/Flex options and started over and it worked. That would be great, but the computer won't recognize it as connected as long as it's doing what I described above.
View 3 Replies View RelatedFirst, let me fully admit this is an annoyance to me. Second, let me fully admit this situation is 'as designed.' As was indicated by Verizon, FRG22D made some changes that 'improved security.' In particular the ability for Exchange admins to enforce security settings. Well, I have a hosted Exchange account (personal email) with 1&1. Post manual update to FRG22D, I am now required to have a PIN code to unlock the phone. No unlock code and the pattern are not available. So, every time my phone comes out of 'sleep' mode, I have to enter my PIN. Incredibly annoying...
Ultimately, it's an issue to work out with 1&1 to see if this can be changed. I see no setting in the options presented to me in the OWA settings or in 1&1's XAdmin panel. If anyone happens to know if this is easily changed... please let me know. Sorry for the partial rant, but I am incredibly annoyed.
And I am greeted by a screen: Enter SPC password and the buttons Verify and Cancel under the window. It will only take a numeric code and I tried a few (last four of my phone #, my PIN for my voicemail.) I have a MotoDroid with the Froyo 2.2 forced update. Now knowing that:
1. What IS the SPC password?
2. What does the ##Program show?
3. Anything else I should know before I try (IF I should try?) this again?
I've recently been receiving SMS message from 6245 (I know - it's "MAIL" on the keypad) that says: "//BREW:0X0106DCC7:UPDCHK:MajorVersion:4.0.07.04*END".
Is anyone else receiving this, or know what it is? I received 3 of these today, and about 5 over the last several days. It seems to have happened after installing Trapster. I don't see anything on their forum that gives me any clues.

I see others are having the same problem though.I have the Droid X I am using the messaging that the phone came with not an added app (I am on Verizon). When I try to reply to a text from my husband I get a message saying "unable to deliver. Please re-send with area code". He is in my address book with an area code and the callback number has the area code. But next to his name it does not have the area code (again, it is entered in my phone with an area code). I have tried to delete his phone number, text my phone with his phone, and reply, but that still does not work. It is so frustrating and weird. Even when I do not have him in the address book the call back number (shown as cb#) has the area code, but up higher when his name would be does not have the area code.

I can only get this message when plugged into the wall charger. If i plug into USB to PC i get just a green light where the power light is any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

It just stops at the start.

View 33 Replies View RelatedI know this might be a tough question to answer, but I thought I would throw it out there anyways. I know the Incredible has built in GPS software, but I have a pretty new Motorola GPS that I prefer using on longer trips.
The model number is Motorola Motonav TN765t and it just came out brand new on March 1st. In order to use what they call MotoExtras, you have to have the GPS paired with the Bluetooth on your phone. These "extras" are stuff like gas prices, Google Local Search, etc. It basically makes a short phone call through your phone using Bluetooth to pull the data.
Anyhow, I can't get the Incredible to pair with this GPS. I was able to pair my LG enV Touch with no problems. Is there something I am doing wrong or is it possible that this phone is too new for the GPS to recognize without some sort of update?
It's funny because the Incredible will scan and find the GPS. It comes up as "Motorola TN700". Then a couple of times my GPS gave me a notification that a phone was trying to pair with it and to enter pass key 0000. So I enter that pass key on the Incredible and it says "Pairing". But it just hangs there and never connects to the GPS.
I know that my Incredible can probably do everything that the GPS does, but I just want it to work. I prefer using it on longer trips like I said earlier and I just want to be able to make calls through it as well while driving.
Has anyone been able to get their EVO 4G to pair to a BMW? I have a 2008 and cannot get it to pair to my G1.
The problem is Google's implementation of Bluetooth. the G1 just has OS 1.6, but I believe the problem has still not been completely fixed in 2.1.

I am hesitant to give up my $30/month SERO plan for an EVO particularly if I cannot get it to do hands free. Heck even Microsoft can get their phones to pair.
I am trying to create SPP connection with glucose meter. I can successfully pair with device and I can successfully establish connection however no data can be transferred because device must be paired with passkey. Sadly I cannot pair with passkey for some reason.
Log shows that device tries to establish connection with passkey but nothing seems to handle this request.

I can't seem to pair the incredible to my car's bluetooth. I've had no problems with my previous two phones and I was able to connect my bluetooth headset to the incredible.
Has anyone with a TL (or other Acura) successfully paired the incredible with their car? Any ideas on how I can get this thing to work besides getting a new car/phone?
Update: Thank you everyone for the advice and support. I got it to work. Apparently the phone thought it was paired to the car. So once I unpaired it, everything worked. I have more details about it in a post further down this thread.
I have installed facebook app on my evo and it had been working well. since yesterday, the newfeed stopped working and tells me that "an error had occurred while fetching data". Anyone had this issue?
I also tried to pair evo with my TomTom 740 GPS. What I did was to turn on Evo Bluetooth, and use the TomTom GPS to search a nearby bluetooth device but it couldn't find my evo. Anyone on this one?
Thanks. By the way, my battery can last about 24 hours, with about 20 min phone calls, and 1-2 hour internet, in the past 3 day since I bought it. I consider that OK.
I just got the Kenwood KDC-X994. The bluetooth worked perfect the first day and now I can get it to pair with my Evo but the stereo won't answer? I do think it is my Evo, not the stereo.

View 20 Replies View RelatedI have a Pioneer DEH-P7100BT head unit in my car (fairly new model.) Bluetooth always worked flawlessly with my blackberry phone. Issue with the Evo, I can pair the Evo with my stereo and I even get the call notifications on the LDC when my Evo rings, but the calls simply do not go through the speakers. I can output audio through bluetooth, navigation, music all work, calls do not. Am I missing something in the bluetooth or phone settings or is there a compatibility issue with my car receiver?
