Was trying to go back to 2.1 from 2.2. RSD flash failed, had to unplug phone. Now the boot loader screen says CODE CORRUPT and Cannot Program. I can only get this message when plugged into the wall charger. If i plug into USB to PC i get just a green light where the power light is any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

View 25 Replies View RelatedWell since ive installed 2.1 it was fine all last night and now... all hell has broken loose on my phone. i get the file space low notification, all widgits on home screens are all messed up and out of whack, smaller icons are randomly being deleted... has anyone else experienced this. i have now done 3 factory resets and reinstalled 2.1 twice since last night its still doing the same thing... cleared cache, and did factory reset through bootloader.
View 35 Replies View RelatedSo as the title states my Droid has some major water damage, but after about 30 min of low heat in my oven and a few more hours of drying it now powers on. Problem it is stuck on the bootloader. So my question is do you guys think I screwed up whatever part of the phone that stores the ROM, does it need more dry time (this only happened about 4 hours ago), or should I just try reinstalling my ROMS off my SD card without waiting any longer? I'm planning on giving it another cycle of heat/dry time then reflashing everything but don't really want to go through all the hassle.

View 10 Replies View RelatedI was following the instructions on "How to: Return DROID X Back to Android 2.1 to go from 2.2 leak, to stock 2.1 so I can get the OTA 2.2 update. I've never rooted and after RSD did several things, it gave an error something like "Error sending RAM download for bootloader..." (there was more to it than that, but I don't have it on my screen anymore). After trying several things, my phone now comes on to the bootloader, but says "Code Corrupt" then "Battery Low" and "Cannot Program" flash on individual lines below. I plugged it into an outlet for nearly two hours and I'm still getting the same thing.Anyone seen this if so how do I get beyond it? One thing I read said that he just checked "ODM_Serial" under Config>Flash/Flex options and started over and it worked. That would be great, but the computer won't recognize it as connected as long as it's doing what I described above.

so this may be a dumb question, but how do i update the boot loader or recovery. I'm using clockwork, and m assuming there's probably been an update for it. ive read about amon ra or something? sorry if I'm incorrect. I am just not sure if my phone is wiping dalvik correctly.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI went to reboot my Droid because it was lagging a little and when it came back on it go stuck at the Cyanogen boot screen. I pulled the battery, put it back in and held the X to boot in recovery and my recovery won't come up either. It just skips right to the Motorola M and if it doesn't get stuck there it goes back to the Cyanogen screen.
I haven't made any changes to the phone at all so I am completely puzzled on why this is happening. I obviously can't take it back to Verizon since its rooted so if there is a way to fix this I really want to because I love my phone and my wife will kill me if it is screwed up.
There are some shortcoming for system's rotate screen function:
1. It is too sensitive to result in many unwanted rotating actions.
2. Accelerometer consumed power greatly. I want disable it and control screen orientation by my own program. Is it possible?
Any programs that allow you to take a screen shot on the Droid X?
View 9 Replies View RelatedI tried Home++ yesterday and didn't like it too much although I may just have to try it again. I didn't care for that "power strip" in Home++ either (can you turn it off?). I wished it would import all the icons from my regular home screen into Home++ so I don't have to re-create everything. Does anyone else out there have a better home screen replacement program? I saw people talking about GDE but I couldn't find the actual application in the Market Place. I also looked at the Panda Home but from the screen shots, it looked weird. I like the plain-jane version that came with my phone. I don't want fancy skins or colors or bells and whistles.

It still installed the Cyanogen mod, but now I don't the Android Market so I can't download anything. I have tried reformatting the SD card but still no luck.
View 5 Replies View RelatedHas anyone experienced an corrupted SD card with their Droid? I was listening to a podcast through Listen while navigating home and the battery was getting low. But, I was nearly home so I figured it would make it. Well, it didn't. When I plugged it in it powered up and I got an error about a corrupt SD card needing a format. I removed and re-seated the card (after shutting down the phone, natch) but that didn't help. I popped it into a PC to try to do a scandisk, but the PC couldn't read it either.
I did indeed format the card. All is well so far, but it's disconcerting that this would happen after only a few days.
Loaded the chevy rom & kernels, did a full wipe cache and all. As I was doing the reboot, the battery died, ( I know, I should have paid attention). Anyways when it came back up, I lost EVERYTHING. Took me 20 minutes to get through the boot menu, and none of my apps will back up. Not really a big deal but the Chevy rom is acting really nutty, so I install the factory look Rom, and Im back up stable. Now I've noticed, my settings shortcut ( basically dont have any settings in menu, or icons menu) the phone dialer is GONE. I do still have the Superuser Icon is still there but if I try to open I force close. Same goes with my set CPU, its there but force closes when opened. Not sure what to do. I tried to reload another Rom, and after the 20 min download it would not prompt to restart.

I have run backups with sprecovry, but the next time I go into sp recovery and attempt backup it says sd card corrupt, giving me the error #31. I haven't connected to my computer since the last time I formatted and the only thing other than a charger I have connected is the droid dock. I can't figure out what could cause this issue.

View 11 Replies View RelatedSo I'm relatively new to rooting. I'm running BB .4, and that went okay. I'm trying to install a theme using ROM Manager. I backup and wipe and it loads into recovery and all that. That runs okay. Then, when it's rebooting, it gets stuck on the DROID screen. Well,actually, it does it once, goes to the Droid eye, and then just repeats the DROID screen over and over. A battery pull allows me to get back into recovery, which lets me restore my back up and then it boots just fine, but I'd really like to make my phone purple. Any ideas?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI rooted my phone and have been using the 3G hotspot and some overclocking apps. Today I decided to load a custom rom. I did some research and bought Rom Manager and Bootstrap. I did the bootstrap and than rebooted to recovery. Than I installed rubix from the sd Card. I found someone else with the problem here and people told them to pull the battery and get into recovery. When I do that I get a droid with an exclamation mark screen. I cant seem to get into recovery or do anything and I am stuck at the rubix boot screen. It seems my problem is because I did not wipe my date or clear cache when installing... but I can't get into recovery to re-do it!

The motorola M screen came up and then the sapphire came up. After about ten seconds it goes away and reappears and has been doing this for the past 35 minutes. Is this normal? Any clue on what i need to do to fix this?

It will only take a numeric code and I tried a few (last four of my phone #, my PIN for my voicemail.) I have a MotoDroid with the Froyo 2.2 forced update. Now knowing that:
1. What IS the SPC password?
2. What does the ##Program show?
3. Anything else I should know before I try (IF I should try?) this again?
