I was in the process of rooting.I've tried everything, looked at different threads from many different websites, turned it off, pulled battery, tried charging it via wall charger, everything. Am I totally bricked?

My milestone was working very slow so I restarted the phone and it got stuck with the following error message
Bootloader 90.73
Code Corrupt
Battery: Ok
OK to program
Transfer Mode:
USB
Was trying to go back to 2.1 from 2.2. RSD flash failed, had to unplug phone. Now the boot loader screen says CODE CORRUPT and Cannot Program. I can only get this message when plugged into the wall charger. If i plug into USB to PC i get just a green light where the power light is any help or suggestions would be appreciated.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI was following the instructions on "How to: Return DROID X Back to Android 2.1 to go from 2.2 leak, to stock 2.1 so I can get the OTA 2.2 update. I've never rooted and after RSD did several things, it gave an error something like "Error sending RAM download for bootloader..." (there was more to it than that, but I don't have it on my screen anymore). After trying several things, my phone now comes on to the bootloader, but says "Code Corrupt" then "Battery Low" and "Cannot Program" flash on individual lines below. I plugged it into an outlet for nearly two hours and I'm still getting the same thing.Anyone seen this if so how do I get beyond it? One thing I read said that he just checked "ODM_Serial" under Config>Flash/Flex options and started over and it worked. That would be great, but the computer won't recognize it as connected as long as it's doing what I described above.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI flashed my phone to 2.0.1 b/c I thought I had to do that. Turns out I didn't, but there is outdated and updated information out there and I was misled. Anyway, 2.0.1 installed fine and it booted up, though my phone wasn't activated. Anyway, then I realized I needed SPRecovery, so I installed the sbf for that using RSD Lite. It installed successfully as far as i can tell? But it did a reboot, and now it's just stuck on the white-background Moto logo while plugged into my USB. RSD Lite says "Please manually power up this phone."
View 4 Replies View RelatedI can root a g1 with ease but I sort of got into trouble with the behold. This might sound stupid but do I need to root the phone before I install the port galaxy 1.6? I just did this.
1. download odin here Odin Multi Downloader v4.03.exe
2. download any Of BH_MAN ODIN Ready Rom's
3. download winrar ( google it) to extract the BH_MAN zip file.
4. follow these instruction

And my phone was stuck on the android logo. do I need to root first and where can I find this? Is this where I go.

Can I do this method even though my phone is stuck on the android screen? How can I get back to default at least?
I attempted to use the new build.prop file to fix the market issue where some paid apps were not found for download.
Here is the process I used:
Download build.prop, place it on SD card. Use Root Explorer to copy build.prop into system/Deleted old build.prop file from system/ (I made a copy of the original and placed it in a folder on my SD card as a backup) Turned phone off. Turned phone back on and got to the Motorola logo, then the screen is black (backlight is still working, the screen is technically on, there just isn't anything on it).
Phone never gets to the boot animation and will not boot back up. Anyone know how I can fix this without having to flash the SBF 2.1 file again and re-root, install 2.2 update.zip, and download/setup all of my apps?
Using Rom Manager, I'm trying to install CyanogenMod 6.0, and I want to include the Google Applications, but everytime it tries to download it gets a corrupt zip error. It still installed the Cyanogen mod, but now I don't the Android Market so I can't download anything. I have tried reformatting the SD card but still no luck.
View 5 Replies View RelatedHas anyone experienced an corrupted SD card with their Droid? I was listening to a podcast through Listen while navigating home and the battery was getting low. But, I was nearly home so I figured it would make it. Well, it didn't. When I plugged it in it powered up and I got an error about a corrupt SD card needing a format. I removed and re-seated the card (after shutting down the phone, natch) but that didn't help. I popped it into a PC to try to do a scandisk, but the PC couldn't read it either.
I did indeed format the card. All is well so far, but it's disconcerting that this would happen after only a few days.
Loaded the chevy rom & kernels, did a full wipe cache and all. As I was doing the reboot, the battery died, ( I know, I should have paid attention). Anyways when it came back up, I lost EVERYTHING. Took me 20 minutes to get through the boot menu, and none of my apps will back up. Not really a big deal but the Chevy rom is acting really nutty, so I install the factory look Rom, and Im back up stable. Now I've noticed, my settings shortcut ( basically dont have any settings in menu, or icons menu) the phone dialer is GONE. I do still have the Superuser Icon is still there but if I try to open I force close. Same goes with my set CPU, its there but force closes when opened. Not sure what to do. I tried to reload another Rom, and after the 20 min download it would not prompt to restart.

I have run backups with sprecovry, but the next time I go into sp recovery and attempt backup it says sd card corrupt, giving me the error #31. I haven't connected to my computer since the last time I formatted and the only thing other than a charger I have connected is the droid dock. I can't figure out what could cause this issue.

View 9 Replies View RelatedSo I'm relatively new to rooting. I'm running BB .4, and that went okay. I'm trying to install a theme using ROM Manager. I backup and wipe and it loads into recovery and all that. That runs okay. Then, when it's rebooting, it gets stuck on the DROID screen. Well,actually, it does it once, goes to the Droid eye, and then just repeats the DROID screen over and over. A battery pull allows me to get back into recovery, which lets me restore my back up and then it boots just fine, but I'd really like to make my phone purple. Any ideas?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI rooted my phone and have been using the 3G hotspot and some overclocking apps. Today I decided to load a custom rom. I did some research and bought Rom Manager and Bootstrap. I did the bootstrap and than rebooted to recovery. Than I installed rubix from the sd Card. I found someone else with the problem here and people told them to pull the battery and get into recovery. When I do that I get a droid with an exclamation mark screen. I cant seem to get into recovery or do anything and I am stuck at the rubix boot screen. It seems my problem is because I did not wipe my date or clear cache when installing... but I can't get into recovery to re-do it!
View 6 Replies View RelatedI updated this morning, but after the update it stuck at the 'Motorola' symbol after the reboot. I had to reboot the phone 5 times to get it work and it was fine; however, i just installed flash and have rebooted 5 times and the phone screen is still stuck at the Motorola symbol upon restart. I can hear emails coming in and i can turn the screen on and off but no go. Looks like I am going to Verizon.

The motorola M screen came up and then the sapphire came up. After about ten seconds it goes away and reappears and has been doing this for the past 35 minutes. Is this normal? Any clue on what i need to do to fix this?
View 2 Replies View RelatedRecieved the Froyo update last night. Hit install, every thing went well up untill the reboot. Stuck on Motorola screen. Took out the Battery ,, nothin still stuck on Motorola screen. Took it to Verizon they couldnt figure it out, Talked to Tech support which is really good at Verizon by the way. They were stumped. So in the end they are sending me a Brand new DX, with an extra SD card and Battery. Not a refurb. So I feel lucky at best.

Now, I wanna try to use Sql lite & Contents provider on Android. Can I test sample code on Emulator without Linux? Some people say that I should build Android on Linux ad make Image for Emulator. Then test on Emulator on windows. Is it right? or Can emulator works alone?
For the past 2 hours I have been searching this site and reading about Rooting and Flashing new ROM's etc. and I'm still having trouble. I downloaded Cyanogen 6.0.0 and when the phone re booted it got stuck at the Cyanogen boot animation screen, and when I pulled the Battery and rebooted in to recovery I was able to restore everything and now the phone works again.
So first off, how long should it take after downloading a new ROM to boot back up with the new ROM installed? And how can I save the ROM in to the SD card? And when I go to DL Cyanogen it asks which home application I should use and gives me ADWlauncher and Launcher 2 as options.
I'm kind of new to Rooting and Roms but I keep getting the same problem while installing Roms using Rom Manager. I flash and then I install the ROM and everything goes well until the boot up screen. It gets stuck in a loop of the Droid and Droid Eye animation and I have to restore it. Can anyone help me figure out what's wrong? I am using the Droid with Froyo, rooted using Easy Root.

It will only take a numeric code and I tried a few (last four of my phone #, my PIN for my voicemail.) I have a MotoDroid with the Froyo 2.2 forced update. Now knowing that:
1. What IS the SPC password?
2. What does the ##Program show?
3. Anything else I should know before I try (IF I should try?) this again?
I just bought my Droid X a couple of weeks ago (2.2 and Rooted). It wanted to do some auto app updates and I told it to do them all not sure if it was before or after that that I noticed a red light by the ear "piece/speaker" and the phone was on and a battery level warning came on which I thought was premature. I plugged in the power cord the light went to green and I looked over a few minutes later and it was dead. I could be a little off on what happened when but that's what happened.
It wont power on now and I've tried holding a few different buttons while powering on and still nothing. I did check the settings the other day and it was successfully backing itself up not sure how to use that backup though. I just looked over after typing this post and the Motorola "M" was on the screen but I couldn't get it to do anything so I pulled the battery and tried again to boot it and nothing.
Any idea where to get a download of RSD Lite 4.6?

Need to unroot and i cant find it anywhere.. and 4.5.3 will not find my droid. (am using windows 7) not sure if that is a reason but the unroot guide on here calls for 4.6.
I rooted me Droid X. I want to know if I can move the files:
busybox
su
Superuser.apk
To somewhere else other then at /sdcard? If so, where can I put them so everything till works?
So I installed the update.zip without taking any steps to retain root, so of course now that 2.2 is installed I no longer have root. I did a cache wipe and data wipe, then setup RSD Lite to flash the 2.1 SBF onto my phone so I can follow the procedures to keep root while upgraded to 2.2.When I click start on RSD Lite, I am getting a failed flash process error.Does anybody have any suggestions for me? Also, the device properties are showing a lot of N/A in the place of version numbers, IMEI/ESN/MEID, etc.
