Every time I open up my browser, it opens a new window with Google, over the one I had precious been viewing. I'm running Home++ with 2.0.1. Is there an option I can toggle to change this feature back, so the browser will simply pick up where it left off, and not opening a new window?

When I had Google Latitude on my Crackberry it updated my location on a timed interval in the background, on the Droid X it only updates when I open the Google Map app, is there anyway to have it update in the background?
View 1 Replies View RelatedSo, not much of a Google Talk user, but now and then. And, I mostly use it via my desktop gMail app.. not on my phone.
Anyway, I close out the Talk app, but no matter what, even if it is closed, killed, off, it activates itself when someone sends me a chat.. even if I am logged on via my gMail account.
How the heck can you shut it off? What is it that makes it start up because someone wants to chat. I see no way to stop it and I am not always in the mood or able to chat and do not want to be disturbed but this Google Talk seems to start up and alert you anyway.
how do you paste copied text (ie a URL) from a web page into a new window to open that page?
Also can you restrict internet connection to 3g or 2 g only?

AOKP has the option to enable/disable soft keys. For each soft key I can choose an app that should open when pressed. I would like to have a soft key that opens a group of apps. Example: The first "Soft key" (with a message-icon) should open a dialog window containing sms, contacts, phone, gmail, mail and so on.
Any app with which I can create such a group shortcut? So this app has to open a group window with selectable apps when started.
Ever since I installed the new version of Swype (i have an official version), I constantly get a pop up tips screen.It tells me how the word I just typed was replaced by an earlier word I just types, and tells me how to delete it.It comes up constantly! From swipe settings, I�ve disabled the enable tip indicator to no avail.Its really hampered my user experience.I also have the other issue people mentioned where i have to reboot my phone, because it stops "swyping".Surprising to me that an upgrade is actually a downgrade.

I have extracted the sdk folder several time. deleted teh .android folder everytime . Can somebody tell me what is teh problem or what else can i do. Since its not running from sdk Setup.exe, in eclipse to i cant run it. Itsay launching the emulator but then there is nothing. Can someone tell me if android sdk as some log files where i can check the errors.

My G1 internet browsing is ok, fast enough when using Wifi - could be faster but limited 3G in my area.
Anyway when i use the YouTube app it is terrible. Video page opens but then sticks and a box comes up with (Cannot play video - Sorry, this video cannot be played) whilst audio continues. On box it has a button that says OK, once pressed takes you back to the Youtube app?
Any one else have their standard vibrant web page go missing? And if so who is providing tmobile web service in your area. Here in Salt Lake it is comcast.

I have an ally and i just had to get a new one because my old one was re-booting. anyway, I had the google navigation beta shortcut on my home page on my last phone and i cant find it now. its the blue arrow. i have re-booted to see if it shows up, nothing. i have searched the market for "google maps" and cant find it. can i do a manual update?

Gone into Basic settings > Setup Guide to check details but Google Account settings not even listed! (Just SIM Contacts; Time & Date; Email; Facebook; Twitter; Sync) Have checked Applications and it shows Google Search (enhanced) as the default setting but it is not showing up on my screen either as the search bar or in the applications. View 5 Replies View RelatedI have the tronsmart CX-919 mini pc running 4.2 and there is an issue with the browser reverting back to the home page or the previous page. When I try to display a webpage on our intranet it reverts back to the homepage or previous page after about 3 hours. I need it to display constantly. I read somewhere that it was a Download Manager issue and disabling it would work but I can't find where to disable it. Also it was stated that Flash was an issue but i tried uninstalling it and it just reinstalled itself and the problem kept occurring. I just want to display a page in a browser and for it to stay on the screen (full screen) until I manually navigate away from it. I plan to leave it on for weeks at a time.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI am tonight at a party and a good friend asked to use my phone for the music I've got on it (16g class 4 SDHC updated twice a week ). I after a long conversation of "If you break my sh-- I will have to kick someone's butt." I gave it to her and she plugged it in. Long story short, somehow it was knocked off the table and into a puddle of what I will, for lack of a better word, call fluid. I assume it was beer but still am unsure. Now, I've dried it out using the "Rice Trick" and leaving it on top of the heater vent, put the battery back in turned it back on and the screen was totally un-responsive. I tried a battery pull to see if that would fix it, but to no avail, it was still un-responsive. I then tried the factory reset (Home+Back+Tap Power>Clear>Reset). Now when the phone boots up and everything loads, Navigator will load and start up all on it's own and when I press the Home button Navigator starts up again. Tried the factory Reset again and the same problem. I was going to just re load the 2.27.651.5 from sprint (I never deleted it from my PC when it first dropped) but when I connected my Hero to my PC it wouldn't detect the Hero, It would charge, but not Mount/Sync/Share.

How do I change it to show our current location? I have tried adding cities in the Weather app.
