I have an ally and i just had to get a new one because my old one was re-booting. anyway, I had the google navigation beta shortcut on my home page on my last phone and i cant find it now. its the blue arrow. i have re-booted to see if it shows up, nothing. i have searched the market for "google maps" and cant find it. can i do a manual update?

IE putting an icon on the home screen that says "Home", tap on it, and Google Nav opens up with directions to your home that you've previously programed.

I did a search and when you type in .PDF the search doesn't find anything. I'm sure its because of it being a short word.
I have a .PDF I would like to put possibly on one of my home screens as a shortcut. I plugged my Cliq into my computer and put the document in the memory card, but can't navigate to it through the phone. The only way I can find this file is if I open up Beamreader.
I would like a small contacts shortcut on my main home page. The only one I have is sunder favorites on another page and it takes up the whole page. So how do I add a smaller contacts shortcut to my main page?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI set up my google account when I first received the phone and everything. However now when I open up the home screen the Google Search bar has disappeared. Gone into Basic settings > Setup Guide to check details but Google Account settings not even listed! (Just SIM Contacts; Time & Date; Email; Facebook; Twitter; Sync) Have checked Applications and it shows Google Search (enhanced) as the default setting but it is not showing up on my screen either as the search bar or in the applications. Have tried taking out and re-inserting the sim card. Any ideas on how to get it re-instated?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have the tronsmart CX-919 mini pc running 4.2 and there is an issue with the browser reverting back to the home page or the previous page. When I try to display a webpage on our intranet it reverts back to the homepage or previous page after about 3 hours. I need it to display constantly. I read somewhere that it was a Download Manager issue and disabling it would work but I can't find where to disable it. Also it was stated that Flash was an issue but i tried uninstalling it and it just reinstalled itself and the problem kept occurring. I just want to display a page in a browser and for it to stay on the screen (full screen) until I manually navigate away from it. I plan to leave it on for weeks at a time.

But it takes too long to open up gallery and sort through all of my photos. If I could set it up as an icon on my home screen, or even the folder it is in as an icon so i could quickly pull it up, that would be perfect.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI recently purchased a used Le Pan 970 that was running Beta 4 of the CM7 Gingerbread. I was having trouble maintaining a Wifi connection so I upgraded to the Beta 5 version of CM7. It fixed my Wifi problem but now I have a new problem.
After the install the large Home button on the side of the tablet doesn't work anymore. The other large buttons (back, search and menu) still work. The smaller home button on the bottom still works. All buttons used to work before Beta 5 was installed.
Is this part of the Beta 5 update or have I accidentally turned off a setting somewhere?
I believe this should be in the development thread but I don't have the post count to participate over there. Searching wasn't of much assistance as Beta 5 has only been out for a few weeks.
I have some questions related to Android's home-screen contents:
1) Is there a way to programmatically delete a home-screen shortcut on Android? I know that it can be done manually but I want to do it in code.
2) Is there a directory where all the contents of the home-screen are stored and, if there is, is there a way to update the contents of this directory?
