So I wrote a thread earlier that flash 10.1 sucks with little to no internet sucks. Which is normal but with wifi turned on at home, I couldn't watch my anime on my phone. Which was really disappointing. Are you guys having problems with the flash player or is it just me? Video was choppy or took forever to load. Plays a few seconds then loads again. So I couldn't get halfway through the episode.

I need to use GFE for my work, however, as soon as I install this app my battery use went from little over 24 hours to about 6 hours. This dam application just won't stop checking for the emails and constantly keeping my phone active. I tried killing it via Task Killer, via managing applications and all forsaken, as this thing like a locust keeps coming back to life and suck the life out of my battery.
Anyone came up with the idea how I can kill GFE for good and activate it back when I need it?I just upgraded my Incredible to 2.2 and it seems that it has two app managing native tools - "manage applications" and "running services" both show apps that are currenlty running. I tried killing GFE using both and still unsuccessful .
I have not had one good experience with Flash so far. Its laggy. The rollover stuff really is a pain. It slows down the whole phone. Kills battery life and heats up my phone enough to fry an egg. Its deja vu. I hate Apple and I hate Steve Jobs, and I was a huge supporter of Flash coming to Android, but frankly, its terribly disappointing. The tap to interact thing is really annoying and doesn't work. I tried to watch the World Cup game and it was off center in full screen mode and very laggy. since we already have youtube and hulu won't let us watch their stuff, it seems that 95% percent of Flash really is ads. Also, I tried to watch a video in a flash player and i couldn't change the volume or pause it. And when scrolling, any flash content lags in movement and slows down the whole page. Am I the only one disappointed? I mean, I know its only a beta but they have a long way to go for me to consider keeping it installed on a regular basis.

It doesn't always update and/or my post's won't go through. Also it doesn't show birthdays, which is annoying. Can you get the full site or is there a better FB app out there?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI finally bought the Motorola car dock and car charger for when I'm traveling this thanksgiving. The only problem is that the "Car Home" app sucks big time. I can't change the navigation app to Aura, I can't change the music player, I can't move or change the default apps on the home screen, and I can't even change the wallpaper. Sucks Big Time. Is there a better app for when the phone is docked in the car?? All I want to do is change the default GPS app, add and remove apps, move icons, and change the wallpaper....lol, is that to much to ask? I don't know if it matters but I'm running ApeX V1.0, NexTheme, and LaucherPro Plus. Please say there is a better alternative.

View 32 Replies View RelatedThis is news to me and I figured i would share it with my fellow Droiders. I just switched from the Eris to the Moto Droid. I figured switching would render my Eris usless because when starting up the Moto Droid, I had to go through an update orientation and had to connect the phone to a number before getting a chance to view the hoem screen. However, my Eris still works. I can not make phone calls, but I can still use it with the Wifi in my house and can play the music that is stored on the memory card. It is like an Eris Touch. I can also still get apps from the Market and update existing apps.
View 29 Replies View RelatedI am able to access the WiFi server with my DI2, but I cannot get any service. This has been happening for several weeks. My wife has the same issue with her iPhone.
For example, on my Facebook App, when I try to load the app, I get an error that says Connection Lost. When I go to Play Store to download apps, it tells me there is no connection. You get the point.
Note that on occasion, I am able to load the internet and get Google, but when I do a search, back to the error messages.
It also happens at home when we connect to our wireless network. Sometimes it works, but lately it's been unable to load.
Would it be possible to create an ad-hoc multiplayer connection (close range) between two or several phones in a flash application?
View 2 Replies View RelatedAll the new features sites said Flash 10 was part of Driod 2.2. 2.2 was pushed to my phone overnight and I installed it. However when I go to the Adobe Flash showcase, it says I don't have flash installed. So I search the market place and do not see flash as a download. Is this just something that will come later? I really don't read up on Driod all the time so I don't know all the news, just a regular user.

Flash Lite installs, but after install I can not connect to the internet (Nothing connects, Skype, market, random app, browser.)
So I wanted to know if anyone wanted to do some testing with them, to see if you can get them running on the ROM you are running. Maybe we will be able to make fun of iDevices earlier, because Droid Does what iDont

View 12 Replies View RelatedSo my EVO was damaged..well the back-light does not come on anymore(I think due to moisture).I've tried RICE and other Drying technique...no fix So 'm gonna put in a claim.Knowing I will probably not have a phone for a little bit, I bought a used Hero for a backup phone.(It will do for now, got it cheap).It came with the latest .6 Patched rom.I downgraded to .5 and rooted it.What's a good flash rom to try with 2.1 fixes wifi and mostly everything working? As most I wanted my phone a little bit faster/cleaner and more control(why I rooted). I still do like some HTC things but not all of it, can I install some of it back when I flash to a new Rom? I'm sorta new to this and first time Rooting. I'm still not sure how you flash new Rom.

View 11 Replies View RelatedI have a Apple Time capsule I use for my router and I'm not getting very good signal when using wifi on my EVO. If I'm sitting on my couch 8 ft away it only gets 1 signal bar on the phone. If I walk up to it with my phone the signal starts to get better. Any advice? I have the Time Capsule because I use a MAC. Just FYI before the bashing starts.

Android just doesn't want to delete them, I've heard that it can take 5+ minutes to delete message threads 500+, I'm screwed because one of my threads has over 2000! This phone should be storing older txt messages to the sdcard anyway, not sure why it wouldn't. Basically this thread was made to complain how crappy clearing out messages was.

What I've found is that my samsung galaxy S with android 2.1 uses the G connection no matter how bad it is despite a perfectly good wifi connection here.
It's only if the G cononection completely drops and the red no entry sign appears to show us that the carrier isn't available at all that suddenly the phone uses wifi.
Is there a way to change the provider order so that the phone will use wifi before g/3g ?
Has anyone else noticed their Eris display SUCKS when outside in the sunlight? I can't see anything on the screen when I'm outside! I don't have the brightness all the way up to save on battery life, and I don't have a screen protector on. With spring/summer coming up soon, anyone else find this as annoying as I do?! Would a screen protector help that issue?
View 10 Replies View RelatedI did a search and cant seem to find if someone else has this problem. I use either radio time or iheartradio to stream radio stations and I have drop outs all the time. If I am on 3g it does this as well as Wifi. I would think wifi would be solid but I have tried a couple different interent connections just to make sure it wasnt the connection. This drives me crazy because there is no reason I should be able to stream a 48k stream on a good 3g connection for a wifi connection.
Is there any tweaks I need to do? Am I doing something wrong?
Seriously Android drives me nuts. On a daily basis I will toggle between 4 different home screens, 3 different music players, 4 different internet browsers various wallpapers, various weather widgets. I'm sure if I was able to settle one having the same layout on a daily basis I wouldn't be charging my phone 2 times a day.
View 10 Replies View RelatedI'm using the latest Wifi Fix and OverClock kernel for 2.2 Froyo, but I'm still having issues randomly disconnecting from the wireless network... The wifi signal shows 0/3 bars even when sitting right in front of the router.
Froyo Overclocked Kernels includes *wifi* fix is where I got my kernel. I've been overclocking to 1200 GHz.

Even under the wireless network now, it says "Disabled, secured with 802.1x EAP"
It remembers my home WiFi about 60% of the time, the rest I have to go enable again. That's annoying since I could just do that on my own without a paid app.I have tried to retrain it to my WiFi and it just never gets it completely right. I'm getting to the point of disabling that JD feature altogether which sucks because battery will suffer AND I paid for this app.
