So, this happened suddenly. I was able to get my Nexus 7 connected via bluetooth to my Galaxy S3. Now, it just won't. It'll get on the paired devices list, but won't connect.

I want to connect my Android phone (Galaxy Nexus) by USB or bluetooth to my laptop. While i'm connected i want to share my keyboard (from my laptop) to my android phone.
Is this possible?
Configuration:
[Internal Keyboard] >> [Laptop] >> [USB / Bluetooth] >> [Android Deveice]

I know there are apps that do the same by internet, but the problem is that my school is blocking accessing local devices in the same network :@
I've had a Galaxy Tab for 2 years, and used it, very successfully, as a wifi hotspot from May until July this year, when my laptop was suddenly not able to connect to the internet via the hotspot. It connected just fine to the Tab, and has no problems on my home wifi. The Tab was still able to connect to the internet normally, with no apparent problems.
I fiddled about a bit and thought perhaps it was a hardware problem, so bought a seconhand Nexus S. That has been working fine until yesterday, when the exact same thing has happened - the laptop can connect fine to the Nexus, but says there is no internet connection. The Nexus itself is connecting just fine.
I'm in the UK - my carrier is Three (Hutchinson).
I'm having a major issue connecting to a Bluetooth headset using my Galaxy Tab 2.
I've tried various workarounds including reseting the devices, removing all paired devices, making sure Visibility is on and etc. Just can't pair this phone with my headset.
The headset pairs successfully with other devices (iPad, iPhone) but it's a dead end with the Galaxy.
Workarounds? Apps to bypass the system pairing?
Reading through Google results and other forums, the Galaxy Tab 2 and the Galaxy SII are both plagued with Bluetooth pairing issues so clearly there's something wrong with this device.

I encrypted my Samsung Galaxy Nexus several months ago and now I want to decrypt the drive and wipe the information. Nothing I have tried has worked so far.
The option to perform a factory reset through the OS has not worked. I make the selection, enter in my passphrase, the phone reboots into the green robot screen (like it was updating) then when it boots back up it asks me to enter in the encryption passphrase again and I do then it takes me to my un-wiped phone.
I have also attempted to reset it with the ClockworkMod Recovery and it will not work either. Giving an "Error mounting data!" message and similar message for the rest
I have my Nexus unlocked and rooted but it is running stock other than those two.
I own a Chevy Camaro SS 2012 that has Bluetooth handsfree built in. Works like a charm with my friends LG phone with Android, as well as with my company iPhone 4S.
But with my Samsung Galaxy Nexus running native Android 4.2.2 it will pair just fine, but I am only able to hear the sound and use the mic in the car, but not engage any functions nor access the contacts list. So I cannot answer calls, or make new ones etc...
The problem is not in the car as it works fine with other phones, and I've tried to reset everything on both the phone and in the car and then re-pair them, without any success. Nobody on the Camaro forums knows how to proceed.
I had used some public wifis in mc donalds and airport in the past. I never had any problems. Yes, some required sms verifications, but anyways, my phone could connect to them.
After a month, i went to the airport and mc donalds again, but i cant connect to any of them. There were hotspots in other places as well, run by different telecom companies. all of them were open networks. but i just cant connect. I can still connect to my home WiFi.
Its not a ROM issue. i have tried several ROMs. I have never changed my baseband, mac address or anything like that.
Is it possible that my hardware is damaged? (but i can connect to my home wifi, which is also open) Or my mac address/phone number is "globally blocked"? (i had tried hotspots of different telecom companies. nd i dont know if theres a way to get my phone number by just trying to connect to a WiFi) Or have they installed something like "connect only with laptops"? does anything like that exist?
I only just got this HTC magic, and I can't connect with my old Sony Ericsson w890i via bluetooth to send my old contacts across.can anyone help me?
View 2 Replies View RelatedMy N1 will not reconnect to a mobile network if it has been sitting for a few hours in a no-coverage area, such as a building. I cannot get it to reconnect, even after refreshing the network search in settings>wireless and networks>mobile networks. This action only leaves me with no result or a message saying that there was an error in searching or connecting to mobile networks. The only solution is to restart the phone. Every time I try to turn the phone off after this error has occurred, the shutdown sequence hangs until either I become frustrated and do a battery pull, or it automatically restarts itself.
Furthermore, the phone used to give me an error notification saying that the phone does not have carrier service. Now, it does not. I tried uninstalling all my programs and nothing has worked for me. I'm considering putting on the cyanogen ROM to see if it would fix this error, but I am hesitant to void my warranty. It's a pretty serious problem as I'm very frequently in a building where I don't get service. It's quite frustrating to have to wait to reconnect to a mobile network once I leave the building and hope that the error didn't occur or have to do a battery pull every time I realize that the phone simply won't reconnect.
Am I correct in assuming this is not an option so far for the MOTO Droid?

My Eris, and now the replacement Eris sent by Verizon, will not connect to our Panasonic KX-TH1212 home phone system. It worked fine before the upgrade to 2.1 and my wife's Droid still works fine with it.The Eris will pair with the KX-TH1212, but will not connect; I've tried it multiple times with both Eris phones.The KX-TH1212 requires a passcode (0000) to pair. After failing to connect, the Eris only provides one option (unpair) in the long press menu.The Droid has three options (connect, unpair, and don't remember this one).I would appreciate any help or similar experiences to fix this issue.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI don't seem to be able to get my Desire to connect to my head unit even though both units are paired.It seems to connect momentarily during the scan for the dvice then i get the "bluetooth headset disconnected" message on the phone?Head unit is a Kenwood BT50U (which supposts A2DP & AVRCP supposedly) and the device & headunit have both had the 0000 default code entered into them when pairing. All the phone shows is the device in the list with "paired but not connected" under it.Wifi is off,phone is discoverable. View 1 Replies View RelatedI use a Note 2, and was able to install apks perfectly fine until this afternoon, now i'm unable to click "install" , it isn't greyed out or anything. I know screen filter and similar apps have a bug which doesn't allow you to click install, so I disabled and uninstalled them just to be sure.
I'm on stock 4.1.2, no software updates of any sort in the last month,weird it suddenly stopped allowing me to install apks
Able to install apps from the play store otherwise.
Edit- Also rebooted several times, and tried installing apks i've installed before, no dice And I do have unknown sources checked.
When I try to connect my Galaxy to the computer either through Kies or by just plugging it in the computer does not recognize my device. The following message comes up on my phone regardless of which connection method I choose. "PC connection available only on idle screen. Close running applications". The only thing I have running that I know of is the "weather widget" which is part of beautiful widgets. Can I get a list of applications running on my phone somehow? Is there a way to turn the weather widget off? I am assumming that that is the problem. Anyone else out there have similar difficulties hooking up to Kiev or just your PC with the same kind of message?

View 6 Replies View RelatedI recently ungraded my Samsung Galaxy GTi1900G with Cyanogenmod 10.1 ROM following the instructions exactly as mentioned in their site. Installation has smooth and absolutely no hiccups, phone is running smooth like butter.
Only annoying thing is sometime the screen is getting locked out all of a sudden during any activity like browsing, watching videos on youtube, etc.It keeps locking off immediately after I unlock the screen and this continues for 10 12 times at a stretch before I can finally unlock the screen. This incident is happening 2 - 3 times a day and is quite disturbing.
PFA the attached system log that I captured once during the issue, I was surfing youtube in FullScreen mod and during the capture the screen locked out twice. The screen locked out 6 time during this instance bu in log only last two have been captured.
It happened today after I upgraded to the new firmware, 4.04 DXLR5.
Many strange files with an icon that is grey and looks like a square with 2 keyholes and a lightning bolt appeared in all my sd card directories when viewed with the gallery app. These files, when clicked, show a blank screen.
But these files don't exist when viewed with my other apps like quickpic and es file viewer, and when I view the sdcard on my pc with a card reader.
For example originally I had 49 files in my dcim/camera directory. When viewed in gallery, it says I have 114 files. When viewed in quickpic or any other app, I still have 49 files. I cleared data in the gallery app but the same problem exists.
I'm suddenly having trouble opening up audio attachments/files. Running a Nexus 4 - OS 4.4.2. I get my work voicemail as e-mail attachments in .wav format. Up until today I was able to just tap on the attachment, and it would download and start playing. Now it says "No app can open this attachment for viewing". If I go into the Downloads and try to open it up, it says, "Can't open file". Same if I try and open up a mp3 that's in Downloads. However, opening a PDF or Excel file from Downloads or straight from email works just fine. If I go into the music player I can open up the .wav and .mp3 files from Downloads just fine.
I tried restarting a few times, and also tried clearing the app cache with no luck. What should I try next?
Yahoo. worked absolutely flawlessly up to about 3 days ago. Anyone else? check your e-mail on a computer and see if you have missed emails being sent to your phone. Have not done anything other than the update and it worked fine after that. i did clear my cache for the first time yesterday, but the problem started before that.

I have always received email notification before. I have notification allowed in gmail, email, and k9, and still no notification: I have to go into the application and do a manual refresh. View 4 Replies View RelatedIt's that little "tick" sound you hear when you press an icon on the home page, or hit something on a menu, or click a link, etc. Mine is suddenly about 1/3 the volume it used to be. I checked the settings and I can turn it off in Sounds & Display...Audible Selection but I don't see any adjustment for the volume of it.
The only thing new in the past few days is that I got both the desk dock and car dock (the "quiet tick" problem is when it's not docked though).
Rebooted with no luck.
so today my htc desire has decided that it won't send any text messages.phone calls work, signal is fine, but whenever i send a text it just buzzes and says it's unable to send. i last successfully sent a text yesterday (20th may) at 23:39. haven't installed any apps since or anything like that.i am very frustrated. this is basic stuff here that a phone should be able to do. anyway, eventually it gives up and tells me:"Unable to send message after multiple attempts."
