I have an employee that states he is unable to view emails that he has sent from his Droid. Is this something he is doing wrong or a setting he can enable, or is this something he can not do from his phone?

I've been working on this and searching for a few days now and this is how far I got.
I can send and receive email through Exchange and I can see emails in my Inbox, the problem is I never keep any emails in my inbox, they always go into separate folders and those ones I can't see. I can see and switch to the different folders but there appears to be nothing in them.
I'm using Samsung Email simply because it came on the phone and seems to be able to do gmail, hotmail and exchange all in one.
Android 2.1, unrooted. Anyone come across this issue or have any ideas?
Yahoo. worked absolutely flawlessly up to about 3 days ago. Anyone else? check your e-mail on a computer and see if you have missed emails being sent to your phone. Have not done anything other than the update and it worked fine after that. i did clear my cache for the first time yesterday, but the problem started before that.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am basically unable to successfully forward emails with attachments. From within my exchange account, the forwarded message is delivered with my typed text, none of the quoted text, and an error file instead of the attachment: A_POLICY_VIOLATED_FILE_WAS_DETECTED_AND_REMOVED.TX T.
This happens regardless of what type of email account I forward the message to--google account or exchange.
If I forward a message with an attachment from my google account, it includes my text and quoted text at least, but not the attachment.
If I can't forward attachments, ok--but I don't get the policy violated file thing. I should note that this occurs in TouchDown and in the native android 2.0 mail application.
I obviously didn't look hard enough. I was able to successfully forward in TouchDown by downloading the attachments first. The quoted text and the full attachments then went just fine.
When I try to view or save e-mail attachments, I get the message "Sorry, an error occurred. Please try again. If the problem persists, there may be a problem with the file you are trying to access." I even tried to view or save e-mail attachments that I could access before and save and they are not even working.

View 10 Replies View RelatedI'm using the stock email client but have heard everyone bang on about how good K9 is but all the features that people seemed to talk about that makes it better than the stock email i already have in my stock email on my Motorola milestone (droid).
So my question is for the people that are currently still running K9 on their device that is on 2.1 or 2.2 and why they are running it and whether i should move across to it.
I have a corporate exchange account that i check in the stock email app and a gmail account that i check using the standard gmail app.
I use Tusker to control the times when i sync the emails (ie every minute when at work but only every 30mins when at home etc).
I had the phone for about a month now and not changed anything but its just stopped sending. When i set it up initially the outgoing server was an ntl one which was suprising as i've always had to use o2 on other phones but it worked a treat on my ntl. but now its only sending mails if i am on home wifi connection not on the 02 network.

Run a few tests and basically, my gmail app shows unread emails in the counter, but hasn't updated the actual email list for at least a day Thinking about it, it may not have worked since I updated the firmware on Sunday.Any ideas anyone? Be a bit of a pisser if my first official upgrade broke it... Wouldn't exactly surprise though

I can see the folders that I've created a long time ago but nothing is in them. I read a couple of threads saying that I should enable labels but I'm not sure how to do that on the Incredible. I don't have that option under "menu" for it.

So I am sitting here today and i jump in my gmail and notice that the emails i sent are still pending and say " sending ". So I hop in my comcast acct and send them and i find out they received them finally. So I go into my gmail acct and send myself an email on my comcast acct. Its been a solid hour and i got nothing. i never use my gmail but i would like this fixed as i plan to use it. Sorry if duplicate thread, i searched around.
View 3 Replies View Relatedi just got my behold 2 & was so frustrated about not being able to delete all my unwanted emails all at once...what a terrible feature not to have. but i found the solution...just go to market & download the "K9" application & it's done. you can select all emails, then delete AND they don't go to a "junk" folder...they are gone for good. maybe everyone knows about K9 already but i just had to share this wonderful information for anyone encountering this!!

I tried deleting and setting up the account again. It seems to accept the pop/outgoing information. However, I get a message after submitting the SMTP information stating "unable to connect to the mail server, server not responding." Is there another email program I could try?

I can open/view attachments that have been sent to me, however I cannot open/view attachments in email messages that I have sent. I can see the attachment, and it's file extension, but when I click on it nothing happens. There is no open or save button like there would be normally. EDIT: I have read the other threads on this forum referring to issues with email attachments and none of them had the solution to my problem.

I get emails from multi sources (I.e. Costco, Sprint, etc) that get loomed in and I have to pan around the email. I tried pinching or double rapping but o no avail. Are there any apps out there that will show on the email icon that messages are waiting? Right now, all I am getting is the update in the top status/notification bar. If I clear that bar out, I have 0 notification without going into the actual client. BB would show a red * on the icon, and iPhones show a red circle with a number in it on the mail icon. I'm looking for something similar on the droid.
I am trying to run the application Maps which is built in the emulator, i just get a grids and no map. i did set the permissions of internet and fine and coarse, also got the apiKey too. I have looked into this http://code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail?id=3764 , so has there been no solution yet to run the Maps under proxy?

I just get a text telling me to go to the website to view it.I have spoken to vodafone tech support about this and they sent me a PDF with instructions how to set MMS up. View 6 Replies View RelatedI'm totally new to the android system.i am borrowing the g1 from a buddy considering this over my current phone.there is no Sim inside but it was activated before me using it.(so its running off wifi).i see nothing but free apps and it tells me there is no content for paid apps.i know the phone is fully updated, but is this due to me not having a Sim inside?i didn't think that would make a difference.

I'm trying to use a youtube downloader to download youtube videos to my laptop and then convert them to AVI files and drag and drop them to my SD card so that I can view them on my Droid. The problem is the files either don't show up on the card when I attempt to play them on the device if they are in AVI format or if I choose not to change the format only the audio is played by the phone so I can't see any video. Any suggestions? I know this is a possibility because a coworker has done this on a BB Tour. I had him Bluetooth transfer some files and those show and play but the ones I'm attempting to tranfer by dragging and dropping the the files aren't working.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI am working on Android App and unable to synchronize View with Hardware. Let me explain.
1) I mute and unmute microphone of Android based on random values (which are random sleeps) stored in array A, from within run method of Thread 1.
2) I draw blue pulses that reflects the mutes of microphone. This is done by independent View class.
3)I move a red line across the graph drawn in above view, by calling from within onTick of a countdown timer.
I start the two threads one after other, this way:
Thread1.start counter.start();
How to synchronize both of these, I want to do three things at a time and avoid multiple threads. Three things are: Draw the pulses (which is constant), make the red line move across x axis and touch the blue pulse as soon as the phone is muted, and keep moving every second, the width of pulse reflects duration of delay. as soon as microphone is about to be unmuted, red line should leave the pulse and move forward. Currently, code is doing what I want. but there is no synchronization. Either microphone does its job first, or graph moves fast. They are not in Sync. Is there a way to hold a thread, force it to behave as coutdowntimer or sync both of them. I cannot embed the red line movement in thread 1 because, it will have to progress across x axis every second.
Does anyone tether their Incredible to a Mac? We have just switched over to the Incredible due to the pdanet app.for unlimited tethering.We have a mac and had no problem viewing the live surfcam in our area with our "old"phone.When we got the Incredible we were able to view the cam the first day but not since then.We are having a really hard time trying to find out why or even who to ask. The pdanet people just tell us it should work.
