I had the phone for about a month now and not changed anything but its just stopped sending. When i set it up initially the outgoing server was an ntl one which was suprising as i've always had to use o2 on other phones but it worked a treat on my ntl. but now its only sending mails if i am on home wifi connection not on the 02 network.

My phone has worked without a problem till last nite. I had a few texts and calls early eve with no issues at all then later on when I tried a text it kept giving me a 'message not sent' message? At first I thought it was an Orange issue so didn't worry too much but this am it's still the same? On doing a bit of investigating I have found I can no longer make calls either. If I try it it doesn't even get too a dial tone it just beeps and returns to the initial call screen.
The phone is showing full signal strength? When I go too call settings>additional settings it shows 'network or SIM error'. I have put my SIM into another phone and it works fine and another SIM that I know works into my Desire and have the same issues so it must be the handset. What do you lot suggest? If I do a factory reset will I loose all my photos etc. from my memory card? Or could I just un-mount it and then reset?
so i was at a party last week, took some pics, and i was asked to email the pics. Got the email address and sent it. So I am sitting here today and i jump in my gmail and notice that the emails i sent are still pending and say " sending ". So I hop in my comcast acct and send them and i find out they received them finally. So I go into my gmail acct and send myself an email on my comcast acct. Its been a solid hour and i got nothing. i never use my gmail but i would like this fixed as i plan to use it. Sorry if duplicate thread, i searched around.

I tried deleting and setting up the account again. It seems to accept the pop/outgoing information. However, I get a message after submitting the SMTP information stating "unable to connect to the mail server, server not responding." Is there another email program I could try?

Phone has been working fine for about 2 months with data, MMS and 3G with 3 POP accounts and 1 Exchange account all sync'd up and working. Then, on Sat at around 7:30pm I realized the phone was no longer getting emails (Outlook was chiming away but phone on desk eerily quite). Picked it up and noticed 3G indicator wasn't there. Recycled power - No change. Updated firmware to R2BA020 - No change. The APN settings are correct and haven't been changed since working. AT&T Unlimited data plan is in good standing. So, although nothing has changed, I can no longer get any data (email/web/facebook/etc.) nor can I send or receive MMS. All of these work if I turn WiFi on but not over the cell network.

View 20 Replies View RelatedSince getting the phone a month ago, it has downright refused to send an SMS to one of my contacts. It is someone that I could send txts to with my old phone, and I can call and receive calls and texts from them on this one, but it simply refuses to send a text! Each time it gives me an error message saying 'unable to send after multiple attempts', and retrying just keeps giving me the same error. Getting help from my network provider they pulled the SIM and then put it back in and it worked! For one txt. After that it has continued to fail. They replaced the SIM and it has still failed. Is there any chance this is a problem with the phone?
View 6 Replies View RelatedI've been using my HTC Desire without a problem but for the last couple of weeks I have been getting unable to send notifications when sending texts. This can be almost instantly after hitting the send button. I'm on three. My friend has the same handset and he is on oange and is getting the same thing so is this a handset thing or are we both doing something wrong. If you leave the desire to do it's stuff it will send it. On other occasions it goes no problem.

The only problem with this its that i receive emails straight away i can access any attachments and view the majority of them which is great, however when i try to send, it attempts then after a minute or so it comes up unable to send mail. i have tried changing the priority of these emails for high to low but have no luck. I have just received my HTC desire, and setting up my email settings. I have three different email accounts, and set them all up. I set up the incoming server settings all fine, but when I put in the details for the outgoing server settings, and press NEXT button, I get the following each time: 'Cannot connect to the mail server to verify your account information. Your server is not responding.' This happens on all three accounts. I have used the same settings as on my computer which works when sending the emails on my computer. I finish the setting it up, but ofcourse I can receive emails, but can't send any.

Quite often when I send text/sms messages I get the Unable To Send error warning in the top left of the main screen. At first I was hitting the Resend option all the time but it keeps coming back and I noticed that if I check my text messages All Messages box then the message has actually been sent, yet the Unable to Send message persists until I use the Clear option. I have configured the standard mail app (I think it is the HTC modified version). I sent an email with an attachment today and it never got sent, it is still in the outbox folder. So as a test just now, I sent myself 2 emails (one with an attachment, one without) and only one of the two went through (the one without attachment).

So, I've stumbled across the answer: Contacts Groupu. I pulled it from the market, and it syncs with the groups you have in your Google Contacts. When you go to view a group, you can toggle to "check all", then hit email and and watch it plug each email address into the "to" field within the native Gmail app.

I've tried waiting, but it never goes through. I eventually go and delete this "Sending" email from the Outbox. However, I'm able to send/receive with the regular Email client that's set up to my work's Exchange server.

I went into the app and cleared cache/data and It works for a few minutes then back to normal. I've read through previous threads and have seen the same tips and tricks. View 4 Replies View RelatedI got the Droid on the day it came out, set up my email account that I have at GoDaddy.com with IMAP, and now on my GoDaddy webmail there is a new folder that has been created called "Sent." This is in addition to the folder that is called "Sent Items" that is already there by default. My problem, in addition to the new "Sent" folder, is this Every time I send an email from my phone, the message goes to the recipient just fine, but in the new "Sent" folder, the message gets duplicated many times. There can be anywhere from a single duplicate, to many, many more...so much so that my "Sent" folder over the course of a week, will contain upwards of 20,000 sent messages. The messages seem to continue duplicating also - there will be 3 duplicates for example, then an hour later there will be 9. This is madness!I have another email account (not godaddy) that I also have set up with IMAP and it has NO problems at all.

I can see the folders that I've created a long time ago but nothing is in them. I read a couple of threads saying that I should enable labels but I'm not sure how to do that on the Incredible. Have not done anything other than the update and it worked fine after that. i did clear my cache for the first time yesterday, but the problem started before that.
