I am on a MacBook Pro. I cannot get my SD card to mount. The Droid X tells me: "The memory card is missing. Insert a memory card to access Media Share." The media card is 100% IN the device and I am trying to use double twist to move play lists from my itunes to the Droid X.

Can you mount and transfer files via bluetooth? if you can, anyone got any quick tips on how to do it? i can't experiment just yet - just ordered a new laptop with BT (my current computer doesn't have it) but it won't be here for a week or so. just trying to do some early research.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI just switched to the R8 release and after that I cannot mount the sd card to the computer to transfer files back and forth. I can get adb and odin to recognize the phone just fine and it also charges off the connection just no mounting for the card.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI rooted last night, DL LFY and LFY1100 kernel. I installed the kernel and then LFY itself. After trying to reboot it only gets to the custom boot screen and will not launch. After 15 minutes I pulled the battery and tried to launch in recovery mode to load my backup. Upon trying to do that it says cannot mount to SD card. I try again and same thing. After failing to mount it goes into the same custom launch screen for LFY but no OS comes up.
View 41 Replies View RelatedYou know, I hate that feeling when you join a great forum, and having to ask for some sort of help in your first post. *sigh* Anyway, here goes.I just got my DX, and its pretty awesome. I love almost everything about the phone. The problem is that the SD card won't work, and I'm not sure if it's the card or the phone. On around the 5th day with the phone, I was listening to music with pandora, and decided that I wanted to play a little Super KO Boxing 2. However, the battery was really low at the time. Because of this, as soon as I opened the game and it started searching the SD card for the down loadable content, the phone ran out of battery and the screen froze. I had to turn power off. Later on when it was done charging, I turned the phone on again, only to be notified that the SD card was of an unsupported filetype. So I formatted it in the settings menu, but nothing happened. I clicked format again, and still nothing. Now, even when I click the "mount button", nothing happens. I have tried removing the card and turning the phone on an off. I don't actually own a pc card reader but would have no problems with buying one.

View 4 Replies View RelatedAlright, so basically, my Droid hates me. I've searched all over, tried a ton of things, nothing will work.
Basically, whenever I go into any recovery, it can't mount the SD card. Clockwork usually crashes after 10 seconds, and SPRecovery doesn't crash, but it won't mount the card either. I tried a bunch of different versions, I tried flashing back and forth and rebooting constantly, I tried removing the battery and SD card for a few minutes, but none of it worked.
The weirdest part of it all that about 1 in every 20 times I boot into recovery, it actually DOES mount the card and I can actually do something. Please help!

I am having difficulty transferring music that I bought via the amazon mp3 store from my droid to my computer (a mac) and itunes. I know how to connect/mount my droid to the computer, and have successfully transferred amazon mp3's that I purchased in the past. Just recently, I began experiencing problems. When I try to drag and drop, I get error messages saying that the file cannot be transferred because it is "in use." Or when I attempt to drag and drop to itunes, basically itunes freezes and I have to force quit.

I have both SPrecovery and clockworld flashed and i have tried reflashing them as that usually works. Nothing is working though.. It is the 16gb card that I got with my replacement Droid. I did reset the phone and keeps doing it.
I have connected my evo to my PC as to transfer music to the sd card, I erased the music that came with it and once I transferred my music to the same folder it dosent recognise that there is any music on the sd card.
View 1 Replies View RelatedIve been trying to reroot my droid and get it back to 2.2, i get it to rooted 2.0.1 no issues but when i try to go from there to 2.2 I always get errors in SPrecovery, when i try to do install from SD card i get error 30, when i try to do a backup i usually get and error. I got the backup to go through once but when i try to restore I get error 20. in SPrecovery when I select /mount SD it says SD card can not be found.
In Droid root helper I've mounted renamed installed busybox and flas, ive flashed the recovery, unmounted, synced, rebooted.
seems to go through fine.
then I put the rom I want Kangerades (http://androidforums.com/roms-droid/117131-7-7-10-rom-froyo-kangerade-5-0-9-a.html) green one, I put it in the root of my SD card, reboot to recovery, backup (try to, usually fails) wipe cache, then i try to install ROM from SD card keeps giving error. ( ive tried without wiping cache, with out wiping data and withou wiping both)
and tips? is their something im doing wrong? (first time I rooted and went to 2.2 I had much less issues.
I have also wiped my SD card completely and reinstalled everything (tools etc...)

My Droid (running NexFro 1.01 - about to install BB with NexFro in ~20 mins) has been automatically mounting my SD card to my PC since installing Froyo last Saturday. I didn't have this feature enabled before flashing to Froyo, and I've tried a few roms since Saturday and they all have this feature auto-enabled.
This normally wouldn't be an issue, but this week I have been traveling with my job and I have been using tethering quite a bit, and would like to be able to charge my phone from my laptop without mounting my SD card every time.
Is there a way to disable this feature? Also I'm not sure that it is a feature at this point, as I haven't seen any other forum posts about this one any of the Android forums and I can't be the only person who doesn't want this feature enabled by default.
I have been trying to root my phone and install the new 2.1 update but when i mount my whone the sd card does not shpw up something does but its alot of apps and pics and other stuff. could someone please give me the instructions for windows vesta and mak it barney style not real good with the tec stuff new to it all.

I thought I was going to be able to have the playlist (such as Jazz) from my itunes also available on my droid. I have the music on my droid, but there isn't anything under playlists on my droid. I want to know how to transfer apps to SD card. When I go to settings/manage applications, the Move to SD button is blacked out. For the record, to go back stock all I have to do is plug my phone in, flash 2.0.1 with RSDlite and download the OTA. right?? I mean when VZW puts out the real 2.2, I assume if I went to that I would be at a disadvantage? I see a lot of people with the processor speed on their home page. How do I get that there? View 1 Replies View RelatedWhen the (HTC Desire) phone is powered up it is unable to mount the SD card, and I am unable to have it mounted from the "Settings > SD card & Storage" menu. Having said that, the micro SD card can be accessed from a computer (when plugged in directly to the computer, i.e. no issue with the card), and moreover, when I am in the recovery mode, I can have it mounted and browse it. By the way, the card could be accessed from the phone until I downgraded the O/S, and managed to have it rooted.
When the phone is running normally, and connected to the USB port of a laptop, the laptop does recognize a device connected (can even do ADB), but I believe because the SD card is not mounted, the phone does not offer the option to make the card appear as a disk drive for computer access.
I am running the original (RUU, Telstra) Android 2.2 (2.26.841.2) on a HTC desire, after I had it "S-OFF'ed". After reloading the original 2.2, I had it rooted.
The micro SD card is a 2GB one, with approx 1.5GB formatted as FAT16 (contains typical file and photos), and 0.5 GB as EXT3 (contains nothing at the moment).

I have searched online for solutions, and have not been able to have it fixed. Others seem to have different issues to that of mine. Usually, they cannot mount the SD-card at all (not even from recovery), or their SD card just needed to be reformatted. I think I have indicated that these do not appear to be relevant to my issue at all. I have also tried "Fastboot oem enableqxdm 0", and it made no difference.
I got a bigger sd card and I'm wanting to swap all my pics and movies from my old one to the new one. is there a way to do this on my phone or do i have to do it on the computer? when i stick the sd card and adapter in my pc it doesn't recognize theres anything in there.

I receive an error from windows saying 'USB Device Not Recognized'. It lists it as an unknown device and will not mount the SD card. Ive tried restarting both the phone and computer to no availer.
