I have been trying to root my phone and install the new 2.1 update but when i mount my whone the sd card does not shpw up something does but its alot of apps and pics and other stuff. could someone please give me the instructions for windows vesta and mak it barney style not real good with the tec stuff new to it all.

I am a fairly new Droid X user and am having issues syncing up my google calendar with the default calendar that comes with Droid X. I doesn't show all the calendars on the phone, only the default google one on my phone.

View 2 Replies View RelatedWhen the (HTC Desire) phone is powered up it is unable to mount the SD card, and I am unable to have it mounted from the "Settings > SD card & Storage" menu. Having said that, the micro SD card can be accessed from a computer (when plugged in directly to the computer, i.e. no issue with the card), and moreover, when I am in the recovery mode, I can have it mounted and browse it. By the way, the card could be accessed from the phone until I downgraded the O/S, and managed to have it rooted.
When the phone is running normally, and connected to the USB port of a laptop, the laptop does recognize a device connected (can even do ADB), but I believe because the SD card is not mounted, the phone does not offer the option to make the card appear as a disk drive for computer access.
I am running the original (RUU, Telstra) Android 2.2 (2.26.841.2) on a HTC desire, after I had it "S-OFF'ed". After reloading the original 2.2, I had it rooted.
The micro SD card is a 2GB one, with approx 1.5GB formatted as FAT16 (contains typical file and photos), and 0.5 GB as EXT3 (contains nothing at the moment).

Recovery mode: ClockworkMod v5.0.2.0 (I manually loaded it)
I have searched online for solutions, and have not been able to have it fixed. Others seem to have different issues to that of mine. Usually, they cannot mount the SD-card at all (not even from recovery), or their SD card just needed to be reformatted. I think I have indicated that these do not appear to be relevant to my issue at all. I have also tried "Fastboot oem enableqxdm 0", and it made no difference.
I rooted last night, DL LFY and LFY1100 kernel. I installed the kernel and then LFY itself. After trying to reboot it only gets to the custom boot screen and will not launch. After 15 minutes I pulled the battery and tried to launch in recovery mode to load my backup. Upon trying to do that it says cannot mount to SD card. I try again and same thing. After failing to mount it goes into the same custom launch screen for LFY but no OS comes up.
View 41 Replies View RelatedYou know, I hate that feeling when you join a great forum, and having to ask for some sort of help in your first post. *sigh* Anyway, here goes.I just got my DX, and its pretty awesome. I love almost everything about the phone. The problem is that the SD card won't work, and I'm not sure if it's the card or the phone. On around the 5th day with the phone, I was listening to music with pandora, and decided that I wanted to play a little Super KO Boxing 2. However, the battery was really low at the time. Because of this, as soon as I opened the game and it started searching the SD card for the down loadable content, the phone ran out of battery and the screen froze. I had to turn power off. Later on when it was done charging, I turned the phone on again, only to be notified that the SD card was of an unsupported filetype. So I formatted it in the settings menu, but nothing happened. I clicked format again, and still nothing. Now, even when I click the "mount button", nothing happens. I have tried removing the card and turning the phone on an off. I don't actually own a pc card reader but would have no problems with buying one.

View 4 Replies View RelatedAlright, so basically, my Droid hates me. I've searched all over, tried a ton of things, nothing will work.
Basically, whenever I go into any recovery, it can't mount the SD card. Clockwork usually crashes after 10 seconds, and SPRecovery doesn't crash, but it won't mount the card either. I tried a bunch of different versions, I tried flashing back and forth and rebooting constantly, I tried removing the battery and SD card for a few minutes, but none of it worked.
The weirdest part of it all that about 1 in every 20 times I boot into recovery, it actually DOES mount the card and I can actually do something. Please help!
EDIT: Just realized this oughta be in the Support sub-forum.
I have been having problems getting the SD card to mount in recovery lately. I have both SPrecovery and clockworld flashed and i have tried reflashing them as that usually works. Nothing is working though.. It is the 16gb card that I got with my replacement Droid. I have never had this problem before.

View 11 Replies View RelatedI use the Handcent SMS and the LED color (blue) and it worked perfectly fine. I set the color to a custom color now and when I get a text, the LED for SMS doesn't show up. I also have the custom color off now too. I also have Missed Call. I used it to set a color for the SMS LED, but it still does not work.
View 3 Replies View RelatedIve been trying to reroot my droid and get it back to 2.2, i get it to rooted 2.0.1 no issues but when i try to go from there to 2.2 I always get errors in SPrecovery, when i try to do install from SD card i get error 30, when i try to do a backup i usually get and error. I got the backup to go through once but when i try to restore I get error 20. in SPrecovery when I select /mount SD it says SD card can not be found.
In Droid root helper I've mounted renamed installed busybox and flas, ive flashed the recovery, unmounted, synced, rebooted.
seems to go through fine.
then I put the rom I want Kangerades (http://androidforums.com/roms-droid/117131-7-7-10-rom-froyo-kangerade-5-0-9-a.html) green one, I put it in the root of my SD card, reboot to recovery, backup (try to, usually fails) wipe cache, then i try to install ROM from SD card keeps giving error. ( ive tried without wiping cache, with out wiping data and withou wiping both)
and tips? is their something im doing wrong? (first time I rooted and went to 2.2 I had much less issues.
I have also wiped my SD card completely and reinstalled everything (tools etc...)

My Droid (running NexFro 1.01 - about to install BB with NexFro in ~20 mins) has been automatically mounting my SD card to my PC since installing Froyo last Saturday. I didn't have this feature enabled before flashing to Froyo, and I've tried a few roms since Saturday and they all have this feature auto-enabled.
This normally wouldn't be an issue, but this week I have been traveling with my job and I have been using tethering quite a bit, and would like to be able to charge my phone from my laptop without mounting my SD card every time.
Is there a way to disable this feature? Also I'm not sure that it is a feature at this point, as I haven't seen any other forum posts about this one any of the Android forums and I can't be the only person who doesn't want this feature enabled by default.
Just noticed when i turn my droid on or mount and unmount the sd card i no longer get any audio notification. The "droid" audio that i had is gone and i see no way to enable it.Any one expierence this or have a fix? In 2.1 there was a sd mount option in the sound settings but that seems to be gone now.

I do so 10+ employees at a time. The problem I have found with Handcent and Chomp, is that if I message 10 people "Work Thursday at 315" when they reply to confirm, it doesnt show my original message, so I have no idea what they are confirming because Im often sending out many different times to many different people. Now, the stock messaging app DOES show my original message when they reply, but the sort order is all screwed up.

I can also add an application widget to the home page and select Google Sky in its settings as the app to launch. Why doesn't it show up in the list of applications (The icon-based list you get when pressing the triangle-in-a-circle icon from the home page)?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI backed up and deleted Blockbuster with Titanium. But, since I hadn't purchases Titanium yet, it didn't back up the apk (it just backed up the data). I then decided to reinstall Blockbuster so that I could get a proper backup. I moved the apk (which people have posted) and installed it. Then I moved the apk to system/app. The program then wouldn't start, so I updated it in the market (this was happening to people with stock X's too). Everything works and seems fine, except now Titanium doesn't list Blockbuster as a system app. If anyone who's not deleted can check, does Titanium list it as a system? Also, does anyone know if I've done something wrong?

So we don't need the widget but when you plug in your phone and you'll touch the mount button it mount on your pc but you can get to sd on phone too (or even auto mount to pc).
Decided to try the encryption feature , it took well over 30 minutes to finish but never prompted me to enter a password, upon rebooting it prompted me for a password... didn't know it so I decided to wipe phone to be able to boot. Phone can not mount internal SD card at all.

Its like it wasent even recognizing that it was plugged in. however, I am able to use the same usb cord for my wall charger. is there a problem with my phone, or my computer.
