Motorola Droid :: Can't Transfer Apps To SD Card On Froyo?

I want to know how to transfer apps to SD card. When I go to settings/manage applications, the Move to SD button is blacked out. For the record, to go back stock all I have to do is plug my phone in, flash 2.0.1 with RSDlite and download the OTA. right?? I mean when VZW puts out the real 2.2, I assume if I went to that I would be at a disadvantage? I see a lot of people with the processor speed on their home page. How do I get that there? Any good free mp3 apps out there?

i have a replacement phone coming today, and dont want to have to download all my apps again, and i know on 2.2 you can save them on sd card. how do i do this? or is there another way to back up apps?

Would anybody know how I can transfer my apps to my SD card? I am unrooted FYI-(all factory settings) I have the Astro filemngr...how the heck do i transfer my apps to SD so my OS wont be bogged down(won't this action help my phone w speed??) my mDroid tells me that "space" is limited,"isn't that b/c I have not put those apps on my card. Do they automatically load NOT on my card.

im wanting to transfer all my data from my sd card to a larger sd card. by data i mean movies, pics, apps, etc. i havent found a link for this and i dont really know how to do it. i havent downloaded the software disc that came with the phone either in case i have to do that.

I am on a MacBook Pro. I cannot get my SD card to mount. The Droid X tells me: "The memory card is missing. Insert a memory card to access Media Share." The media card is 100% IN the device and I am trying to use double twist to move play lists from my itunes to the Droid X.

I got a bigger sd card and I'm wanting to swap all my pics and movies from my old one to the new one. is there a way to do this on my phone or do i have to do it on the computer? when i stick the sd card and adapter in my pc it doesn't recognize theres anything in there.

I currently have the droid and have had to do a factory reset several times for trying out different programs and unfortunately been stuck on a force closure loop. When I did the factory reset google had all of my purchased apps saved, I had to re-download them all of course. I'm pretty sure that it would transfer over to a new phone but that is only an assumption, I was hoping one of you guys with waaaaaaay more tech and computer smarts would be able to confirm this for me.

I now have a Moment. next week I'm getting an EVO. my question is this. can I take the sd card from the Moment and transfer the Apps I have saved to the EVO and use them on the EVO ...... or do I have to re download all of the Apps from the market again? I have them all backed up with "on the Fly Backup"

I bought a samsung galaxy xcover 2 2 weeks ago, and i realized that theres nothing to do to transfer/download straight to sd card. I called to Samsung support in finland and they said that i have to format the sd card and after that you can transfer some very few applicatoins to sd card but however i have not managed to transfer even one application. I have tried app2sd and searched around the internet in order to find some way to transfer apps to sd card. I found from youtube some kind of way, but there was like downloading some program to computer and then connecting the sd card and phone separately to computer and then giving some commands to computer and copy and cut and clicking thousands folders and some more stuff i didnt really understand the whole thing was really complicated. I am starting to be really frustrated for this problem or whatever it is, its just stupid to even put this kind of faulty "function" to any kind of smart phone. In every other way samsung galaxy xcover 2 is very excellent and easy to use, but i think transfering apps to sd is very important function/tool. How to transfer apps to sd in Samsung galaxy xcover 2.

I just updated to Froyo and so far no problems. I cant figure out how to install apps to my SD card. I installed 10.1 adobe flash and it didn't ask me if I wanted it on my SD card. Do I need to turn on a setting to install apps on my SD card?

Just noticed when i turn my droid on or mount and unmount the sd card i no longer get any audio notification. The "droid" audio that i had is gone and i see no way to enable it.Any one expierence this or have a fix? In 2.1 there was a sd mount option in the sound settings but that seems to be gone now.

I'm running the latest Cyanogenmod froyo and I need to format my SD card. I have about 2 GB worth of unaccounted for space I need. When I go into SD card in settings the Format SD Card option is greyed out. I checked the apps installed on my SD card and there are none.

So messing around with Froyo I noticed that if you go into application management there is an option to "Move to SDCard". The problem is that none of my apps allow me to move it to the sdcard. Does anyone know how to get this working?

i dont know if i have a problem or this is just new or even if theres setting ai could change when i end certain apps in advanced task killer then i go back to them they are where i last off like in browser it would be at the last site i went to even though i ended the browser i dont actually like that it does this same thing in other apps such as my twitter and facebook apps i end them but when i open again there where i left off.

I'm running android 2.2 froyo. I have installed Facebook and twitter on my phone and when I try to move them to the SD card I can't. To do this I'm using avast! Mobile security and it has an option to do so. The button "move to SD card" is blacked out for Facebook, twitter and steam. Is there anyway I can get these on my SD card? I have very little internal memory so every megabite counts.
