Motorola Droid X :: Authentication Error Sending

I have configured my DX for my work email. POP3 incoming mail works, is sent to my phone.Problem is I can not send an email using that account.I get an "Authentication error sending" message on my phone. I have checked the Outgoging Server settings, and the SMTP server and port are correct. The username and password are correct. I have tried just username and username@domain.com.I didnt not have any problems configuring my work email account on my Blackberry.The email Server is IPSwitch Imail 11.Please help, I hate having to send work related emails through my gmail or yahoo accounts.

Been trying for a month to get my business POP3 email to pull down on the Droid. Have tried both the default email app and K9. I am able to send email from the default app, but it will not receive. Just says 'Connection error'. Have checked the settings a dozen times. They are correct. 1st time I tried K9 3 weeks ago, I got no where. C"connection errors". Today I reinstalled it, and all of the sudden it starts pulling down headers. But - about half the emails I click on won't pull down the rest of the message. Just sits there and says 'Downloading...', then after several seconds says 'Connection error'. This is when I start cussing profusely. Sending email from K9 seems to work ok.Anybody else having this same issue? Suggestions? Is there another email app to try?

I have a Samsung Note 10.1. I have a new XFinity modem that I have connected all my house phones and laptops to. On my note, when I leave the house and come back, my WiFi screen shows "Authentication Error" when I try to reconnect to the WiFi. Nothing I do-- restart Note, re-enter modem password, etc, will work to get it reconnected EXCEPT resetting the XFinity modem again...then in connects again...UNTIL I leave and come back again. Just got off the phone with Comcast/XFinity and they say everything is ok with my system.

Starting two days ago my Nexus One wont log into Google Talk, I get the message:
Authentication Error
Google Talk failed to login. If this is a Google Apps account, confirm that chat is enabled for this account. I have logged into my domain Dashboard and Chat is on for my domain, Chat works in Gmail just fine. Everything else on my phone seems to be working, just not Google Talk. I just got the phone, I'm in Tucson with T-Mobile service and I've tried both over WIFI and over Edge/3G.

Is anyone else all of a sudden having problems with Yahoo mail not working and giving an authentication error when trying to re-add the account?
ETA: I just found that these settings work but I have to disable WiFi which is total BS
For Incoming Server Settings set the IMAP server to imap.mail.yahoo.com and the Port to 143
For Outgoing Server Settings set the SMTP Server to "smtp.mobile.mail.yahoo.com and the Port to 587

Periodically I change my passwords and yesterday after doing so, and updating my htc mail settings I cannot access my mail. I am getting an error saying authentication failed. It had worked perfectly fine then several hours later I got the message when I went to check my mail - actually the lack of. Because I had noticed gmail notifier updating my mail on my computer but nothing on my phone.
I read elsewhere to try it on just a 3g connection, or going to wifi, neither worked. I have deleted the account, and tried setting it up from scratch to no avail. The gmail stock app works, I just like the mail widget from htc.

I was wondering, all my school networks have you log on once you get in the browser to show you a valid user. However, even though I have WiFi on and I am connected to the network, if I go into the browser it clearly just uses the signal I have for cell, not WiFi. I'd like to have the faster connection, but I feel like you have to be on only WiFi in order to put in that information, but I couldn't turn off my wireless network. Is there a way to do this, or is there a way to make this log in thing much easier? Cause I don't really want to turn my wireless cell connection on off everytime I want to authenticate ya know?

Droid does email (Exchange). Droid does contacts (Exchange). Droid dont do Corporate Calendar.. I get the authentication failed wheen I try to refresh. Anyone have any ideas for this? And we are using Office 2002 so the google calendar sync option isnt even viable.

I am using the standard gmail app that comes with the motorola droid. However password authentication is only required the first time the application is launched. This means anyone who picks up your phone can see your email with one touch. Is there a way to require password authentication each time the application is launched?

Has anyone else had a problem when trying to send a MMS message. I took a picture and tried to send it to a friend of mine and my wife two different times, with two different sized pictures and the message never goes through. I just keep getting a message sending error, until the notification gets so annoying I delete the message all together.

I can send mms to my friends on at&t that DON'T have iphones, they get them just fine. however, EVERYONE I've tried to send an mms to that has an iphone, it never gets through. this is using chomp for the most part, but I've also tried it with the stock messaging app (the girl i sent the message to using the stock messaging app got it once, but I've tried it at least 100 times over the past few days trying to figure out the issue.and she's gotten a message ONCE).regular SMS texts go through fine, and i can receive from iphones just fine.
to recap:
incredible mms to at&t non-iphone --> works fine . incredible mms to at&t iphone --> does not work
at&t iphone mms to incredible --> works fine . at&t non-iphone mms to incredible --> works fine
anyone else seeing this?

So when sending text messages, I get the following message every single time i press 'send'
"com.android.mms A large number of text SMS messages are being sent. Select 'ok' to send"
So.....I did send out 100+ messages within like 5 minutes...just sending out a mass txt message letting people know of my new number. So is this Androids way of anti-spam?
I need a way to turn it off, because now I have to make this extra step every single time i send a text message

I'm using Handcent, but I get the same thing if I use the inbuilt messages app. Basically I select a group to send an SMS to and when I send the message it comes back that the multiple messages haven't been sent, but they actually have. First time it happened I kept trying to re-send, got the delivery error every time, despite all 5 lots of messages being sent - I spammed a load of friends! Oddly sometimes it works fine and Handcent does the correct sending of each msg one after another.

When I take a picture and try to send it via email it always tells me it's unable to send email and then sits in the outbox. Is there a way to find out why? I can send emails without attachments just fine.

My D1 starting wigging out on me and I have the warranty so they sent me another D1. About four days later the "like-new" D1 (more accurate term would be like-crap) started doing the same thing. Spent 25min on the phone with an associate and then asked for a manager. Spent 2min with him and should have a D2 today! Moral of the story, go straight to the top. I honestly can't wait to root this bad boy.

Just got my Droid yesterday and I have Google Voice as well. I set up the GV application and everything seems to work great, although I cannot send SMS messages using the "Messenger" application that came with the phone. When I send a message, my number shows up as my phone's number, not my GV number. I have to use the GV application instead.Outgoing calls are fine and I see a popup that says "Calling with GoogleVoice", but nothing with SMS. Should I be able to use the Messenger application, or do I have to use the GV app? I've tried searching in here and on the Google forums, but I can't seem to get a clear answer or how I can fix this.

within the last month sending picture messages has become a joke. It takes like an hour almost all the time and sometimes they wont send at all. Anyone know whats going on with this? Regular texts work perfectly.
