My D1 starting wigging out on me and I have the warranty so they sent me another D1. About four days later the "like-new" D1 (more accurate term would be like-crap) started doing the same thing. Spent 25min on the phone with an associate and then asked for a manager. Spent 2min with him and should have a D2 today! Moral of the story, go straight to the top. I honestly can't wait to root this bad boy.

I set up the GV application and everything seems to work great, although I cannot send SMS messages using the "Messenger" application that came with the phone. When I send a message, my number shows up as my phone's number, not my GV number. I have to use the GV application instead.Outgoing calls are fine and I see a popup that says "Calling with GoogleVoice", but nothing with SMS. Should I be able to use the Messenger application, or do I have to use the GV app? I've tried searching in here and on the Google forums, but I can't seem to get a clear answer or how I can fix this.

View 4 Replies View RelatedSending pics and videos to a site for sharing is pretty easy. Now this is considering you have Photobucket and You Tube. Couldn't tell you about others. Basically after setting up your accounts with them, the camera software will send the pics to them thru the "share" option. Videos require a Wi-Fi connection. The new You Tube now does HD video, so they show up in high-quality 720p. Pretty much easy as can be. Sent a 15mb video in about a minute or so. Thought that was darn good.

I have experienced it on the stock rom, and now Liquid's rom 1.4.1.I always do a complete wipe, and everything else works great, but if I reply to any email, the synchronizing between gmail on the phone and gmail on the computer never works.If I star something, read it, or send a reply, nothing ever gets accomplished, the sending just stalls at "sending" for ever. Anyone have a solution?

My buddy asked me for another friends phone number the other day so I of course went into contacts expecting to be able to text it to him like my dumb razr could. Much to my surprise I couldn't find the option, pretty disappointing considering he has an iPhone and made a HUGE deal out of it...
Ive tried Contact Sender which works, but I would like something that integrates into the "share" options in the contacts, or even the attachment menu in a text.
This is the second Droid that has started freezing on me and I have checked all of my apps individually and I have soft reset and factory reset twice....still keeps freezing when trying to return to home screen.(screen goes black and does nothing). So I called the VZ rep and he was extremely helpful. Instead of sending a refurb, he sent me a brand new droid. It wont be here until Monday (due to the holidays) but I was quite impressed with their customer service.

Another issue I am having is there doesnt seem to be a way to send videos to through the facebook app.
I have used a few translator apps to translate from English to Spanish. However, I keep getting an error and the SMS in Spanish is never sent. I use the same translator and it sends the SMS in English only. I am wondering if this is an issue with the app, the phone or is this the way the phone works.

POP3 incoming mail works, is sent to my phone.Problem is I can not send an email using that account.I get an "Authentication error sending" message on my phone. I have checked the Outgoging Server settings, and the SMTP server and port are correct. The username and password are correct. I have tried just username and username@domain.com.I didnt not have any problems configuring my work email account on my Blackberry.The email Server is IPSwitch Imail 11.Please help, I hate having to send work related emails through my gmail or yahoo accounts.

When I take a pic that I want to share, I'll tap "Share".
There, I will access the field to enter an email address that I want to send the photo to. If I have multiple people to send it to, do I have to type in each individual address, or is there a way to access my contact list somewhere so I can simply go through and select/click recipients?
Anyone have this happen when you go to send a text? Normally, I'll type in the first few letters of the persons name and it will come up with some options from my contact list. Certain contacts don't show up when I do this.

If I take a photo using the option in the facebook app, the photo will be a thumbnail size when it gets sent to facebook. However, when I take the photo through the camera app and then do share to facebook, it will be full size. Is this just me or is there a way around this?
View 3 Replies View RelatedSo I'm using stock 2.1 with the stock messenger app. I'm sending MMS pics to 3 seperate phones - sometimes they go thru, sometimes they don't. On my messenger app it reads the time stamp after it 'digests' it, but on the other three phones the pics don't show up (sometimes they do, but more often they do not). I'm testing against 2 ATT Go Phones (and verified texting works b/c they charge me for each tex) and 1 iphone. What gives?I notice (so far) reliability is much improved if I turn WiFi off
View 7 Replies View RelatedThis is an odd problem I have. When I reboot my phone, it sends only a select few people previous text messages I've sent them. The only program I can see that could be causing it is SMS Pop Up, but I don't know if that is a culprit or has been known to do that. My girlfriend who was sitting next to me started getting text messages. She received about 13 instantly from me that she previously received from me.Can anyone decipher this dilemma?

Emails received in that account go to GMail and I can send an email from GMail but put the "from" email address as my school email). I can't figure out how to do this on my Droid though.
