Oct 1, 2010I'm having trouble sending pics, when I get the msg ready it converts the file from sms to mms but when I send it, it just disappears.

Motorola Droid X :: 3G Disappears If Left Alone For Awhile
Aug 11, 2010Every once in awhile I'll pull my phone out of sleep and the 3G icon won't be there. I know that the 3G isn't active because I won't receive any emails during that time. It does this seemingly randomly and I can't find a pattern.

Dec 9, 2009My 3G connection just randomly disappears, some times it will just switch to 1x and other times i wont have either. I have full reception at my house and this never happened with my old phone. Should i exchange my phone? or is this something that will be fixed in an update?

Nov 10, 2009I've noticed this happen 2 or 3 different times since Friday. For whatever reason the 3G icon disappears from the title bar but I still show 3-4 bars signal strength. At this time all data access is lost, no response from email, web, talk, etc. I've tried waiting it out but it doesn't seem to respond. During this time I've also tried cycling airplane mode, but that doesn't help. So I power the phone off and back on and it comes up with 3g data access again. Anyone seen this or know how to "wake up" 3g data access again once its gone?

Its nothing to do with any sort of syncing account, I have it fully turned off, and my accounts removed, but it still shows..
Motorola Droid X : Mobile Signal Widget Disappears From Phone
Nov 13, 2010I bought this handy little widget a few weeks ago because it gives me a much better idea of my signal strength. It works great most of the time. The only issues come when I reboot my phone and the widget, option for the widget and icon disappear from my phone. I have to uninstall/reinstall it to get it back up again. I emailed the dev and have yet to receive a response. Any ideas on a fix for this or is it just a marketing scam to inflate his download numbers?

Sep 21, 2010My D1 starting wigging out on me and I have the warranty so they sent me another D1. About four days later the "like-new" D1 (more accurate term would be like-crap) started doing the same thing. Spent 25min on the phone with an associate and then asked for a manager. Spent 2min with him and should have a D2 today! Moral of the story, go straight to the top. I honestly can't wait to root this bad boy.

Nov 17, 2009Just got my Droid yesterday and I have Google Voice as well. I set up the GV application and everything seems to work great, although I cannot send SMS messages using the "Messenger" application that came with the phone. When I send a message, my number shows up as my phone's number, not my GV number. I have to use the GV application instead.Outgoing calls are fine and I see a popup that says "Calling with GoogleVoice", but nothing with SMS. Should I be able to use the Messenger application, or do I have to use the GV app? I've tried searching in here and on the Google forums, but I can't seem to get a clear answer or how I can fix this.

Sep 16, 2010Sending pics and videos to a site for sharing is pretty easy. Now this is considering you have Photobucket and You Tube. Couldn't tell you about others. Basically after setting up your accounts with them, the camera software will send the pics to them thru the "share" option. Videos require a Wi-Fi connection. The new You Tube now does HD video, so they show up in high-quality 720p. Pretty much easy as can be. Sent a 15mb video in about a minute or so. Thought that was darn good.

I have experienced it on the stock rom, and now Liquid's rom 1.4.1.I always do a complete wipe, and everything else works great, but if I reply to any email, the synchronizing between gmail on the phone and gmail on the computer never works.If I star something, read it, or send a reply, nothing ever gets accomplished, the sending just stalls at "sending" for ever. My buddy asked me for another friends phone number the other day so I of course went into contacts expecting to be able to text it to him like my dumb razr could. Much to my surprise I couldn't find the option, pretty disappointing considering he has an iPhone and made a HUGE deal out of it...
Ive tried Contact Sender which works, but I would like something that integrates into the "share" options in the contacts, or even the attachment menu in a text.

Dec 23, 2009This is the second Droid that has started freezing on me and I have checked all of my apps individually and I have soft reset and factory reset twice....still keeps freezing when trying to return to home screen.(screen goes black and does nothing). So I called the VZ rep and he was extremely helpful. Instead of sending a refurb, he sent me a brand new droid. It wont be here until Monday (due to the holidays) but I was quite impressed with their customer service.

It's not a problem with gmail, but the mail app. The notification disappears from the notification bar once I check my email, but the "1" stays in the icon for the mail app even after I've deleted it. Feb 1, 2010Anyone have this happen when you go to send a text? Normally, I'll type in the first few letters of the persons name and it will come up with some options from my contact list. Certain contacts don't show up when I do this.
