Just tried to oc to 1.3 ghz, tons of random reboots so i went down to 1.1 ghz, with the same thing. So I guess I'm stuck at 1ghz for now. Could this be the ROM I am running (smoked glass v4.0) or is 1 ghz just the max for my phone to be stable? How fast are you guys going while staying stable?

I am at bugles beast 7.4, love it... But I was wondering if there is a stable 2.1 rom that will let me run at 800mhz... Any suggestions?

I have read a lot of different opnions in many threads but I wanted to get more of a complete picture and ask this in a seperate thread.Which of Pete's roms do you feel is the most stable? I know different builds have different perks but in your experience, which BB runs the most stable? (Least issues and FCs).

I'm quite pleased with SG, it seems stable and speedy. I'm kind of wanting to try out something new just for giggles.

Is there any suggestions for a froyo rom that is the most reliable and stable at this point, or am I just being unpatient? I'm running ROM Manager, any suggestions from there? Or is elsewhere better.
View 17 Replies View RelatedI don't know what has happened with my phone recently. I had flashed ss4.8, ss4.9, lfy 1.9, and now cyanogenmod 6.1 RC3. My phones internet browser has force closed constantly on every ROM I mentioned above. Its never done this before. I can't even hardly load or scroll through a web page and it force closes almost everytime I use the internet for more than 5 mins. The phone itself has been horribly slow too no matter what kernel I use. I noticed something about JIT in the cyanogenmod settings, could this possibly have something to do with it? I have no clue I'm just shooting in the dark but my phone has been almost unusable.

A number of folks are bricking and are unable to restore as there is no stable sbf (restoration program script) at this time. So, if you do update, understand that you're kinda like jumping without a parachute, at this point. Hopefully, it will change soon. So you fly at your own risk, newbie. As for me? I'm waiting. I have plenty enough stress in my own miserable life to add more! You know me, I've got the new rooter's backs.

I have rooted by the way with DroidMod.
My phone isn't jacked (yet) like most people have theirs. I do have the Motorola Droid. The only thing i've done to it was Trident's version of forcing the 1st and 2nd updates through the phone itself. So i do have the FRG22D build #. I've also changed the call quality setting. So there really isn't anything that would be taxing the OS of this phone.
View 17 Replies View RelatedIf you'd like to try it, check your normal ROM website for droid. It allows up to 1ghz clock. I personally have profiles set for a little lower for most times, but its running fine at 1Ghz.

When i have the swype app running then my phone is very slow, meaning when i just hit the home bottom takes five seconds to get there with all icons showing. View 22 Replies View RelatedI had been using IMEasy for its multiple-account capability, I found my phone running warm when multiple accounts were connected though, and the battery drained fast; down to 70% in 3 hours in a poor signal area. I thought it was the poor signal. Installed Trillian yesterday, it's connected to 3 IM accounts and after 5 hours I'm only down to 90%, in the same area. I've been a happy Trillian user on the PC, I already had an Astra account from that so setup was SIMPLE. I HIGHLY suggest this app, though it's still in Beta and it IS missing a couple options I would like they're not critical issues to me, and I'm sure they'll fix them.

The 2 missing items (maybe one really) are the ability to set the notification tone in the app and the ability to change the notification LED color in the app.

Surfing the web on the X is too slow. Anyone else considering getting rid of the X for something faster? I am at about 74db signal strength and 4 bars.
