Jul 3, 2010I finally rooted my phone, and put froyo on with flash. works great. Now i want to overclock as well. What do you use for overclocking the cpu speed?? I've seen setcpu referenced...are there any alternatives???

Motorola Droid : SetCPU Uninstall Failed / Way Of Checking My Current Speed
Jul 3, 2010I installed SetCPU and found it very confusing. I went into the market and uninstalled/refunded it. I got a message saying uninstall failed but it is no longer showing in my list of installed apps. My phone is very choppy/leggy now. Is there a way of checking my current CPU speed? I am wondering if when I uninstalled the app my CPU remained at my minimum setting.

Jan 29, 2010I just recently started using pdanet when my high speed internet connection at home was having issues. Oddly i found it to be very fast and work pretty flawlessly from my droid. My question is during the summer i have a 2nd home which has no option for high speed connections, but does get 3g Verizon. I mostly would use my laptop for reading emails and teaching online classes through my college. Has anyone on Verizon ever had issues using bandwidth through a tethered device as i described? I know there is this on going battle of whether our unlimited plans are truly unlimited or not. I would not use massive loads of data but i do not want to incur problems with my service either. Love to hear your opinions.

Motorola Droid :: SetCPU Causing Phone Problems
Sep 7, 2010I just bought SetCPU last night, and ever since installing it, I've had issues with sending and recieving txt messages, for example, I'll have 3-4 bars of 3G and the txt will either not send out, or if someone sends me a txt, I'll get about 3 all at once from them. Maybe its just how I have setcpu setup, I let the app decide best speed for my phone 900max 250 min, and I set it on interactive at first, then changed it to performance to see if that made a difference with txts.

I like all those high speed camera shoots and i was thinking if would it be possible to make an app to use the camera to shoot high speed videos. Nov 8, 2010I don't know what has happened with my phone recently. I had flashed ss4.8, ss4.9, lfy 1.9, and now cyanogenmod 6.1 RC3. My phones internet browser has force closed constantly on every ROM I mentioned above. Its never done this before. I can't even hardly load or scroll through a web page and it force closes almost everytime I use the internet for more than 5 mins. The phone itself has been horribly slow too no matter what kernel I use. I noticed something about JIT in the cyanogenmod settings, could this possibly have something to do with it? I have no clue I'm just shooting in the dark but my phone has been almost unusable.

Jan 7, 2010Anyone else having a problem with a crackly intermittent headphone jack?
Mine has progressively gotten worse over the last month or so, to the point where the slightest movement causes crackling and sometimes intermittent loss of the sound. This is in no way related to the "left speaker pop at max volume" issue that has been previously reported. This is a purely mechanical issue, and having seen the teardown pics on the web, I think its due to the fact the headphone socket isn't actually soldered to the board, but uses 5 contacts and contact pads to make the connection. I wonder if this might be a weak spot in the design..I'm going to take the droid back this weekend to Verizon, any Idea's what my options are regarding a replacement, its after 30 days, but the motoroloa warranty should cover me for a year, right?

Mar 5, 2010Using Droid with Droidmod 1.0. I just updated to the newest version and for some reason when i have my profiles on.It sets it to max of 384 and min of 250. The lowest max i have set in my profiles is 600 so how can it show max is 384.
I know this is something real easy.
Of course using auto-detect
set on boot checked
on-demand (main screen)
on-demand (profiles)
max on all profiles is set to 600 min 250.

May 31, 2010Will the casssetes they sell with the 3.5 mm adpater at the end work on the droid? The one I got i got it with my iphone, but since then it hasnt worked on any phone. I should I just try a new one? I dont have an aux in on my stereo.
