View 11 RepliesIs there a setting on the Droid X to allow you to silence everything but the phone? I saw one app listed, Foxy Ring, but wondering if there is a way to do this on the phone without having to have an app running? I read some concerns over battery use with Foxy Ring. Any other apps for this.

However, now neither the flip to silence the phone on an incoming call feature (the setting is on) OR the flip to activate the speakerphone when in a call now works. The flip to silence the phone on an incoming call was working before the firmware update.

View 1 Replies View RelatedNewbie here so please forgive if this is really basic. I am coming from a BB and I want/need to be able to silence all notifications but still allow the phone to ring. I need to do this ONLY at night. Anyone know of a shortcut or app that will do this without me going into the settings every night and changing it.

- Your phone is on the table, locked
- Ringer and vibrate are enabled
- Someone calls you
- Swipe down to answer, swipe up to ignore
- You wish to stop phone ringing but not necessarily dismiss/ignore the call as the other person gets through to voicemail and knows you rejected their call
There must be an easy way to make it silent yet not let the other person know you don't want to answer right now?I know you can flip the phone over to achieve exactly this, but is it achievable by pressing something without having to flip the phone?
Coming from a BB it was easy to shut up notifications for messaging at night. I need to have the phone active but the notification tone from emails is driving me towards throwing this phone away. Another option would be turning off notification tone all together. But I can't figure out how to do that either

View 4 Replies View RelatedI don't remember my DroidX always doing this, but recently after I hang-up from a call it shows the "Call Time XX:XX" in the center of the screen and I can't do anything until it goes away, which is generally 5-8 seconds. Hitting Home, Back, etc does nothing and tapping on the screen or the message also does nothing. Is this a setting I can disable? I can look at the recent calls to get the length of call if I need to see it, so I don't need the dramatic pause to give me this info.
View 2 Replies View RelatedLove my new Droid. I'm looking for a widget/app that is configurable to perform some silence settings. Example: When I go to bed I would like to press one icon to silence everything but the ringer. Is anything out there?
View 4 Replies View RelatedAnyone know what I'm doing wrong? There is a default sound for alerts and there is sounds when you go into the options of email and texts. How do I silence one of them so I only get one alert when an email comes in?

View 2 Replies View RelatedDoes anybody know why the alarm clock turns itself off after 10 minutes? This is kind of a problem. I'm very difficult to wake up. I have to set two alarm clocks, and they usually go off for a good 15-20 minutes before my brain even recognizes the sound and wakes me up. I've always been this way.For some reason, though, I've woken up late several times while using the Droid as one of my clocks. I don't remember ever having woken up to silence the alarm or hit snooze, so I could not figure out why it wasn't going off. Today I noticed a notification in the status bar saying "Alarm silenced after 10 minutes". The alarm turns itself off after going off for 10 minutes, apparently?
View 11 Replies View RelatedOftentimes when I attempt to end a phone call the screen goes dark and I am not able to end a call. I have read other websites in which users have had similar issues. Will this issue be addressed and fixed soon in a firmware update?
View 3 Replies View RelatedSeveral weeks back I enabled a feature on my phone to silence a call from ringing by moving the phone.Since then I've missed several calls because of the phone bouncing around in my pocket. Now I just can't remember WHERE that setting is to turn it off.
View 2 Replies View RelatedIF you are using the docking station as an alarm clock, how do you turn off the alerts - all I want on are the alarm clock and the ringer for the phone. I do not want to hear text or email alerts coming in all night long. Anyway to silence these individually?

View 11 Replies View Relatedwhat is the best way to make a phone call?I am coming from a BB Curve and when I wanted to call my husband, I just pushed the letter T (his name is Tim) and it would pop up with my T contacts and I would hit go and it would call him. Now, on the droid, I hit the phone icon, then hit contacts, then scroll through all the way down to T and select him there. Is there a better way? And I did search the forums, but the questions having to do with making calls were all way more complicated than this one!

View 8 Replies View RelatedMy work number is a contact, if I choose that contact to dial, the X goes to do it but in the reception bars area a red circle appears and the screen reverts back to the previous one. I can dial other numbers fine and there is service. My work number is also in all my co-workers contact cards as well. I had one contact that I deleted and added again, and then the X would dial and the call go through. Any thoughts? It is only a few numbers this happens with, no pattern I can see yet.

View 2 Replies View RelatedMy wife and I recently got the DROID and so far really like the phone and all that it can do. My wife has been having some problems where she would hold the phone to her ear with her shoulder and she will accidentally mute her call, or some times put the call on speaker phone.
