Motorola Droid X :: Phone Delays On Call Time / After Call Has Ended
Oct 14, 2010I don't remember my DroidX always doing this, but recently after I hang-up from a call it shows the "Call Time XX:XX" in the center of the screen and I can't do anything until it goes away, which is generally 5-8 seconds. Hitting Home, Back, etc does nothing and tapping on the screen or the message also does nothing.Is this a setting I can disable? I can look at the recent calls to get the length of call if I need to see it, so I don't need the dramatic pause to give me this info.

Jul 19, 2010what is the best way to make a phone call?I am coming from a BB Curve and when I wanted to call my husband, I just pushed the letter T (his name is Tim) and it would pop up with my T contacts and I would hit go and it would call him.Now, on the droid, I hit the phone icon, then hit contacts, then scroll through all the way down to T and select him there.Is there a better way? And I did search the forums, but the questions having to do with making calls were all way more complicated than this one!

Jul 21, 2010My work number is a contact, if I choose that contact to dial, the X goes to do it but in the reception bars area a red circle appears and the screen reverts back to the previous one. I can dial other numbers fine and there is service. My work number is also in all my co-workers contact cards as well. I had one contact that I deleted and added again, and then the X would dial and the call go through. Any thoughts? It is only a few numbers this happens with, no pattern I can see yet.

I click everything,slide everything sometimes just sometimes It will wake up if I push the little button up top. Major bummer when leaving a voice message. I would rarely want to go to the dialer as I have all of my contacts saved. Its annoying when having a missed call and I press the phone button and then I go to the dialer instead of the call log.

Aug 25, 2010When on a phone call outdoors and I want to hang up, I pull the phone away from my face and the display stays black. The proximity sensor is not sensing that I've moved it away from my face. I can't hang up the call. If I hold the phone above my head with the display facing toward the ground the display comes right back.
It works perfectly indoors. I've compared this to another phone and the other worked perfectly. I've read that the UV rays from the sun can interfere with the proximity sensor. Verizon does not recognize this as a problem but if you Google it you will see this problem goes way back.

Feb 25, 2010I went to check my call log this morning and noticed it was completely empty. Not too big of a deal but still somewhat of a hassle. Then as I started getting calls throughout the day, I noticed that all of my contacts had their ringers reset to the default ringer instead of their custom one. I haven't seen or heard of this problem anywhere else. I know people have had their messages completely wiped but this seems to be only Phone data.

Aug 23, 2010I have a cheap old bluetooth headset that worked great with my Q9c. Now I want to use it with the DX for podcast. It paired and connected just fine. And I can make phone call with it. However, it won't play any media audio (Google Listen, Pandora, etc.).
In bluetooth setting the device is connected to phone audio. Does it need to be connected to something like "media audio"? Is it just the limitation of my BT headset or I can work around it by tweaking a setting on the phone?

Mar 21, 2010When I first got my Droid, I would often hear a tea kettle going off in the background with pitch changes, like a plane flying over head. Needless to say, I wasn't going to put up with the distracting noises, especially with a brand new phone. So, Verizon replaced the device. Four months later, I'm still having the same problem. The problem isn't that bad but I should hear such noises, regardless. Verizon says they haven't heard of such an issue but will replace the device again. Has anyone else noticed these noises while on a phone call?

Jul 8, 2010I've had my Moto Droid since it basically came out last Nov and I have never ever run into a problem with the phone until last night. I had a phone call and after I got off the phone, I noticed my droid reseted itself and it wasn't going back to the home screen. Meaning it would just display the word "Droid" then go right into the droid red eye screen, then right back to the word Droid and just kept repeating itself.
I took the battery out and put it back in, but it kept doing the same thing. I am really not sure what would cause my phone to do this, but the only new change I can think of was that I installed the "TMZ" application to my droid about 3 hours prior to this happening. But the application worked fine and I really hope it wasn't because of that. Is there anything I can do before going to Verizon? I would really hate giving up my phone with all my stuff in it, but I know theres probably not much I can do if I cant even get to the home screen.

Feb 8, 2010So, today as I was rushing to get on the train after school I needed to make a phone call that would determine what train I would take. Of course, since it was time sensitive my droid decided not to make our receive calls. I would dial the number and hear nothing but silence even tho the call had connected. The party on the other end was getting the call but we could not hear each other.only silence. I had to reboot twice at which point I had a number of voice mails from the person i was calling trying to see what was happening. My phone is not rooted and I just have some basic popular apps. Is this just an occasional smart phone glitch or have others had this happen?

How do you selectly delete numbers in your call log? All I can find is delete all. You would think someone would look at how a BB works and understand you don't always want to delete all your calls.
